His shoulders slumped and he sighed deeply. She opened her eyes and glanced at Andrie, who was still looking at her. “Things like how it feels like to kiss you,” she said in a trembling voice.
She felt the warmth spreading across her cheeks. She bit her lower lip and looked away. Several times, she swallowed her pride and steeled herself. But her discomfort was almost overwhelming now. With Andrie, her shame deepened even more.
“Are you serious?” he asked.
She saw the seriousness in his face from the corner of her eye. She swallowed hard. “Y-Yes.” She took a deep breath.
She blinked rapidly and tried to clear her mind. Her knees almost trembled under Andrie’s intense gaze. She couldn’t handle the intensity of his stare anymore. She forced a smile and opened her mouth. Just as she was about to speak, she felt Andrie’s hand holding the back of her neck.
She froze in her seat. Her lips parted slightly, her eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Andrie. Her eyes questioned him.
But he didn’t speak; instead, he leaned his head towards her. And before she could say anything, Andrie’s soft lips gently touched hers. Azora’s eyes widened again. Her feelings turned colder.
Why? Why was he kissing her?
As Andrie’s lips began to move, she closed her eyes involuntarily. She gripped his shoulder and squeezed tightly.
Andrie pressed his hand against the back of her neck, pushing her slightly back so their kiss deepened. Azora’s heart raced faster and faster. She could hardly breathe because of its speed. Familiar. His way of kissing was so familiar.
But she wasn’t sure. She did have her suspicions, but a kiss wasn’t enough to prove her assumption.
Azora’s hands traveled up Andrie’s neck. She gasped when Andrie pushed her back into the passenger seat. Dazed, she looked at him. She heard him curse briefly before he kissed her lips again.
She pressed her fingers to Andrie’s neck. She didn’t waste time, and her hands quickly found their way to his hair. She clenched her fist, daring to catch several strands of Andrie’s long hair.
“Azora,” he whispered as their lips briefly parted to catch a breath. “What are you doing to me?” he groaned before diving back into her reddened and parted lips.
She whimpered softly. Her hands dropped to his neck and shoulders. Her hands stayed on his shoulders for a few seconds before they moved down to his chest.
Her kisses and hands became even bolder. They went everywhere but never ventured into her sensitive areas. She smiled at that realization. Always, a gentleman was his big kiss. Just like Anthony. Her kiss on him became even bolder.
She didn’t take long to go Andrie, but the distance wasn’t that far. He stared at her, puzzled by Azora’s behavior.
“Have you loved someone?” she asked, staring into his eyes.
Andrie’s eyebrows slightly wrinkled. “Why are you asking? Are you planning something against me?” he asked, but she couldn’t escape the pain in his voice.
She swallowed, unable to bear the sting in her heart. It was difficult to prove that the man in front of her was Anthony, but why did every word that came out of the man make her more convinced that the man in the car was Anthony?
She raised her hand and gently stroked his cheek. “You know what?” she whispered. “I have loved someone,” Azora added.
Andrie’s eyebrows raised, and his forehead furrowed even more. “Who’s that guy?”
She met his gaze. “He has the same face as yours.”
Andrie blinked, stunned for a few seconds. “Azora —”
She quickly cut off what he was going to say. “Please…” Her lower lip trembled, her vision blurred due to the impending tears. “I love you,” she whispered to him.
He quickly removed her hand holding his cheek.
