The Clasisos didn’t let her go. According to Narciso, Andrie’s father, their family lawyer was already preparing a case against her. They were still looking for evidence, so until everything was sorted out, she had to stay at the Clasiso mansion.
Andrie didn’t leave her alone either. He always approached her to insult her. She couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t leave her alone, seeming to enjoy watching her contort her face in annoyance. Just like Simmy.
She glared at Andrie standing in front of her, sulking while sitting on her own bed. “What do you want? Why are you pestering me?” she asked.
“Weak,” he sneered and grinned at her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I don’t know what my twin saw in someone like you who gives up easily and lacks brains.”
Her eyebrows met in irritation at his insults. She wanted to fight back and insult the guy too, but she bit her tongue. No. She shouldn’t let his insults get to her because he just wanted to see her angry. He wanted to show her that no matter what she did, she couldn’t escape his grip.
The corner of her lip lifted. “Why don’t you try me?”
Andrie stared at her for a few seconds with a mocking smile on his lips. She didn’t back down. She stared back at him.
She yelped when suddenly he pushed her back onto the bed and leaned over her.
“Are you sure you want me to try you?” he asked in a low voice.
Their eyes met. Azora lay still on the bed, her body going numb as Andrie pressed against her. Sweat formed on her forehead.
Andrie lowered his gaze to her lips. Azora’s eyes widened as he slowly lowered his face, as if intending to kiss her.
She wouldn’t allow it!
She quickly turned her face so Andrie’s lips landed on her cheek. She felt the curve of his lips against her skin. She swallowed. She sweated even more. Her heart beat faster. She was nervous.
“Don’t you dare!” she scolded and quickly pushed Andrie away, but he felt like a stone pressing down on her-heavy and impossible to push away.
She suddenly heard Andrie’s laughter. He voluntarily left her and stood in front of her.
Only then did Azora breathe a sigh of relief. She thought earlier that she was sweating because she was nervous, but she wasn’t. It was just because of the weight of Andrie who completely leaned on her. Her body sank deeply into the soft bed.
There was a smirk on Andrie’s lips, just like the grin he had when they first met-mocking.
She forced herself to sit up, but her arms felt sore from the strength she had released earlier just to push the stone-like Andrie away. She lay back on the bed and gasped for breath because her heart was still beating fast with anxiety. Sweat dripped from her forehead, and she didn’t want to think about how pitiful she must have looked at that time.
“You’re really weak,” Andrie commented mockingly.
Her eyes wandered ahead until their eyes met. She was still lying on the soft bed, with her knees hanging over the edge of the bed. Andrie stood beside the bed, staring intently at her.
“Pervert,” she whispered with a sneer that she knew Andrie heard because he suddenly laughed.
“You’re easy to tease. Next time, that might not be all I do to you.”
She clenched her fists and stared at him. “What do you want, huh?!” she asked loudly.
She was tired of seeing the man. She was tired of enduring the pain of his words. In all her life, she had only faced a shameless man who did not respect women. She sighed heavily as she looked at Andrie with a bad look.
She thought it was better when she was imprisoned in her father’s mansion. No one can enter her room so her life is quiet inside that locked room. But in the Clasiso mansion, she had no freedom and no rest.
Andrie visited her room every day where she was detained. All he did was annoy her until she lost her patience. Often, she ignored it, so every day, Andrie’s irritation increased. But it was a different day because her patience was completely broken.
She saw the curve of a happy smile on his lips. She winced. It seems that Anthony’s twin was sick. Hah. Andrie is very different from her boyfriend.
“I’ll be back tomorrow,” he said and then turned and left the door.
She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. Her clenched palms gradually relaxed. She felt relieved.
She was just alert when she heard someone open the door and a knock approached where she was lying. She quickly opened her eyes and looked at the daring person who entered. It was Esma. She had food.
“Here’s your lunch,” the old woman said as she placed a plate full of food on a small table beside the bed.
She sighed and forced herself to sit on the edge of the bed. She gestured for Esma to sit on the bed as well. It took a few seconds for her to comply. She sat not far from where she was sitting.
She smiled. “I didn’t ask you, but how did Clasiso handle Anthony’s twin?”
Esma blinked. “I don’t think I should answer that, Miss.”
“Come on.” She narrowed her eyes. “You won’t lose anything if you tell me. Clasiso probably didn’t tell you not to share information about Andrie with me?”
Esma sighed. “I’ll tell you, and don’t spread it around. I’ll tell you because I see Sir Andrie visiting you all the time.” She ran her finger over a ring on her left hand. “The twins were born abroad. But only Sir Anthony was brought here to the Philippines by Sir Narciso. The twins grew up without each other, so you’ll see that their personalities are very different.”
“Yeah, they’re different,” she grimaced as she thought of Andrie up close.
“Other people don’t know about Andrie. When Sir Anthony died, Sir Andrie came back here. Sir Narciso also didn’t disclose anything about Andrie to the public because people would surely think differently.”
“They’re not obliged to announce their private life anyway,” she whispered and sighed. “But can you stop Andrie here? If I can’t hold back, I’ll kill that man.”
Esma chuckled, surprising her. “Sir Andrie is an underground fighter.” She stood up and raised her hand to bid farewell. “I’ll admire you if you manage to bring him down someday.”
