Chapter 1189 : Making a Splash

Book:Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle Published:2024-5-29

Amelia was forced to slow down and walk with Isabel behind Matthew Grant and Blanca Roach.
Isabel looked at her sideways, pursed her lips, and said softly: “Amelia, why are you walking so fast, Blanca has her husband with her, and we two ‘loners’ have to walk together.”
The meaning in this sentence is very obvious, is not want Amelia to spoil the two people in front.
Amelia naturally understood, and she gave Isabel a smile with an intimate tone.
“That’s for sure.”
Although she said so, but under her eyes there was a flash of calculation and jealousy, she is not in a hurry for this moment, but it does not mean that she does not have a plan.
Blanca Roach sat on the passenger side and looked back at Amelia from the rearview mirror.
I don’t know if it was just her, but she had the feeling that Amelia was intentionally or unintentionally making a name for herself, and for what purpose, she didn’t want to find out.
I just hope it’s not what she thinks it is.
Matthew Grant took out a card and handed it to Blanca Roach, in a casual tone.
“Use this card, spend it however you like.”
“Don’t need yours.” Blanca Roach pushed the card back in front of Matthew Grant and took out a card of her own to show it off a few times, “I have my own.”
“Then use both.”
Matthew Grant shoved both cards into her hand without the slightest hint of impatience.
Amelia stared at the two cards, her hand clasping the edge of her bag, her whole heart burning with jealousy.
For someone like Matthew Grant, this card could be a handy pocket money, while for her, this card could be her salary for a year.
This also strengthened her determination to get Matthew Grant.
Amelia pursed her lips and laughed, looked at Blanca Roach and whispered, “No wonder Isabel kept saying she envied you and President Grant, and today I looked envious too.”
Blanca Roach smiled lightly and reached out to straighten Matthew Grant’s not-so-crooked tie.
“Amelia, you’re not so bad that you’re not worried about finding a good one.”
“I’m not as lucky as Blanca that you’ve found such a rich and considerate husband.”
She said, she glanced at Matthew Grant several times, intentionally or unintentionally straightened her chest, faked a sigh and sounded helpless.
“If only I could be like you.”
Matthew Grant, impassive on the sidelines, stared unblinkingly ahead and re-twisted his car keys.
“Blanca, call me when you’re done shopping and I’ll pick you up.”
“Okay.”
Blanca Roach narrowed her eyes and smiled a little, pushing open the door and getting out.
It wasn’t until Matthew Grant’s car was out of sight that Amelia withdrew her open gaze and took Isabel’s hand.
“Let’s go inside, it’s pretty warm out.”
“Yeah.”
The three of them wandered around for a while, Amelia only watched quietly from the sidelines, not buying anything.
This mall is in the heart of S city, where there are many luxury brands, and it’s positioned for high-end people, so it’s never a place for people like Amelia to come.
If she hadn’t been so anxious to use Isabel to get close to Blanca Roach and Matthew Grant, she probably wouldn’t have taken half a step inside normally.
Blanca Roach saw Amelia, still empty-handed, blinked and picked a cheaper store.
“Let’s take a look in here, I’ve been thinking about picking out some jewelry lately.”
Amelia looked at the sign of this store, smiled and nodded, and walked in without stopping her feet, this store she could still afford by biting her teeth.
After all, this is out shopping, she does not buy anything can not say.
