After waking up, Rosiley took a shower and headed down for breakfast. After she was done, she then headed to the office.
The instant she stepped foot into the media department, Seneca Yayoi then came up to her with a solemn face, saying, “Rosiley, go to the press release room in an hour. There’s work for you.”
“What happened? Why does your expression look so bad?”
Rosiley looked at her strangely, seemingly shocked by her expression.
Seneca Yayoi rolled her eyes. “That b*tch Rorey will sign with TEG today and there’s going to be a press conference. The upper management has ordered you to be present.”
Rosiley froze and quickly snapped back from her thoughts. “Wow, look at how fast she is. She just arrived and already could not wait to show me who’s boss?”
“That b*tch can’t sit still no matter where she goes.” Seneca Yayoi said depressingly, “Based on the current situation, you have no choice but to go.”
“I’ll go. It’s just the start. If I can’t even handle this, how am I going to fight with her?”
Rosiley smiled dismissively. She was not afraid of Rorey’s presence at all.
At about 10 a. m., a press conference for Rorey’s return to the industry was held punctually in the press release room. Other than their own media team, there were five other media outlets invited to the press conference to make it seem like a big deal. The whole event was very grand.
When Rosiley first reached the venue, Rorey was doing an interview on stage.
“Miss Rorey, this time around you’re signing with TEG, a new company. What do you think of them? Based on what I know, you’ve also worked with other local renowned entertainment companies like Cheng Yi and Chinese Entertainment. Why did you end up choosing TEG?”
“Firstly, thank you to all of the media outlets that took time off to attend this press conference. As for why I chose TEG, it’s mainly because I have a promising vision for their future. Currently, TEG might not be doing as well as Cheng Yi and Chinese Entertainment in terms of their on-screen endeavors, but I believe that they will bid goodbye to their current state soon. I also believe that TEG will give me a good platform to grow.”
Rorey’s answer was seamless and perfect. Apparently, this was according to a script.
“Miss Rorey, sources stated that TEG and REG had secured a movie deal. Not long after that, you signed with TEG. Are you going to be a part of this movie?”
“Haha, I just joined TEG. Currently, we are in talks with other work. As for the movie with REG, I have yet to receive any news. However, if I have the chance to be a part of this movie, I think I will let everyone know first-hand.”
All of the questions by the media were all about her developments in the future. It seemed that no one remembered how this woman had suffered a great fall in her reputation a while back.
Standing beside Rosiley, Seneca Yayoi was so shocked that her eyes were rolling backward like crazy. “This woman is so brave! It’s just a return to the industry, how dare she try to bring in Thunderbolt Entertainment to gain free publicity? Her answers are so vague, the media is probably going to make random guesses again.”
“Thunderbolt Entertainment’s influence is not small after all. Besides, there’s nothing wrong with her answers. TEG did indeed intend to work with Thunderbolt Entertainment. Their side will probably not say anything about her answers.”
Rosiley pursed her lips. She was obviously not interested in how Rorey was creating free publicity for herself.
Meanwhile, Seneca Yayoi suddenly broke into a sinister smile, which made her look like a thieving fox. “Haha, indeed, REG can’t say anything because she was unsure of your relationship with Mr. Lu. I’m suddenly very excited to see how they are going to respond to this. It must be very interesting.”
Rosiley blinked at Seneca Yayoi. She also smiled. “I feel you.”
While the two were engrossed in their conversation, the other media outlets asked a number of questions. When it was about enough, they then moved on to other gossip.
“Miss Rorey, there have been some speculations regarding your new contract. Did you purposefully choose TEG because of your grudge against Rosiley? Back then, you guys made the headlines everywhere. Could you tell us a bit about what happened exactly?”
This reporter asked quite a sharp question. sitting below the stage, Rosiley frowned. She had a bad hunch.
“That’s all in the past, and I couldn’t possibly sign with TEG just to target her. After all, I was in the wrong back then. I’ve also asked for her forgiveness. From today onward, we are colleagues, so I hope that everyone stops focusing on this. Miss and I have decided to move on. If you don’t believe me, you can ask her yourself!”
After she said this, Rorey’s gaze suddenly focused on Rosiley’s face.
