Matthew Grant skillfully turned the steering wheel and made a turn, glancing at someone who was thinking next to him, his thin lips pursed.
“What did Mom say to you?”
“Huh?” Blanca Roach jumped a little at Matthew Grant’s voice and looked up at him, “Would you be mad if I told you?”
“I wouldn’t know until you said it.”
“Mom told me to watch out for third parties digging in and said men are fickle.”
Matthew Grant raised an eyebrow, seemingly unsurprised, and clutched Blanca Roach’s hand while waiting for a red light, gazing at her.
“I’m more concerned about what you think.”
“Me?” Blanca Roach blinked and thought extremely hard, “I’d like to believe you, but you’re too peachy.”
Matthew Grant frowned and lowered his voice as he leaned down to drop a kiss on her forehead before the red light came on.
“Don’t worry, my heart will always be yours.”
The words were low and deep, and Blanca Roach dropped her eyes, her cheeks flushed slightly, and hastily looked sideways out the window, only to realize that this was not the way back to the villa at all.
“Where are we going?”
“To the company, ah, since madam has said so, of course we have to let madam take an oath of sovereignty.”
Blanca Roach couldn’t help but snicker a little, looking out the window with her hand on her head, unable to hold back the small bit of joy in her heart.
The car arrived below the company in no time, and the two pushed the stroller into the company together, attracting a crowd of sideways glances from the employees.
This is probably the first time that the president’s family of three appeared together inside the company.
Just as the two exited the elevator, the assistant who was temporarily filling in for Curtis Irwin greeted them. After seeing Blanca Roach, her expression changed for a moment, and then she turned sideways to Matthew Grant.
“President Grant, there is a person claiming to be your classmate who insists on waiting for you in the office.”
Blanca Roach glanced at this assistant, did not move, took Matthew Grant’s arm and softened her voice.
“Honey, who is this employee?”
“The assistant who is temporarily filling in for Curtis Irwin, you go down, there’s nothing more for you to do.”
Matthew Grant’s tone was casual, his attention was on Blanca Roach, he didn’t even give her a second glance and led the way directly around her.
Marie clasped the folder in her hand and glared sideways at Blanca Roach, her eyes full of resignation.
She had been silent beside Matthew Grant for so many years, how could it be Blanca Roach’s turn!
Even if Blanca Roach didn’t turn around, she could still feel the naked gaze behind her, she had seen a lot of such people, she still had this sixth sense.
When she opened the door, she saw Shelly sitting on the sofa, looking like a hostess, holding her coffee.
Shelly glanced at the two people who came in, and the stroller, and her eyes instantly darkened.
“Matthew, you’re back.”
“What are you doing here?” Matthew Grant spoke in a light tone, placing the sleeping baby in the stroller in the office cubicle before coming out to look at her, “Something wrong?”
Shelly ruffled her hair a bit and placed an application for employment on the desk.
“Matthew, my dad talked to Uncle Grant, and they said I just got back to the country, so I can come to you for a little experience before I go work somewhere else.”
Blanca Roach stared at the entry application and narrowed her eyes, the look under her eyes darkening.
It’s not just a corner to the house, it’s a corner to the company!
She glanced at Matthew Grant, but met his gaze, deep and introspective, causing her heart to tremble.
Blanca Roach pulled the corner of her mouth and sat on the sofa, “Miss Shelly, what did you study abroad? I’m afraid that coming here to work is not the right profession.”
