“Shopping?” Rosiley repeated in shock.
Was Sachin seriously inviting her to go shopping with him?
Was she in an alternate reality? Why was the aloof and unapproachable Sachin suddenly willing to do such an ordinary activity?
Corey was tickled by the shock on her face. “Come on, let’s go shopping. My brother and I would be a strange sight to behold if we were to go shopping by ourselves.”
Rosiley pursed her lips and looked at them in mild disgust as she said, “I don’t think it’d be easy for me to go shopping with two handsome men.”
She didn’t want other women to shoot daggers at her as she walked down the streets with these two handsome men. That thought made her shudder.
Corey stared at her in disbelief before he turned to Sachin and said, “This is the first time I’ve heard a woman say that hanging out with us would put her in a difficult position.”
An enigmatic smile danced on Sachin’s lips as he said, “Your sister-in-law’s mind is extremely clear, so she wouldn’t let herself be mesmerized by looks alone.”
“You’re amazing!” Corey said as he praised her. Then, he followed her into the dining hall and said persuasively, “Why don’t you consider going shopping with us? You’d attract a lot of attention if you were to walk down the streets with two handsome bodyguards. This isn’t an honor that we’d bestow on anyone else.”
Rosiley remained unconvinced. She took her seat at the dining table, chewed on some bread, and took a gulp of milk before she gave him a once-over and asked, “Why are you so insistent that I join you? Do you have something up your sleeve?”
Corey looked a little guilty and shot Sachin a look before he laughed awkwardly and said, “Do you think I’d dare to plot something when I’m beside my brother? He’d be the first one to kill me.”
“That’s true,” she admitted with a nod. She didn’t turn down his request but turned to look at Sachin for a moment before she said, “All right then, I’ll go shopping with the two of you.”
“Great. Please take your time to eat. I’ll wait outside with my brother,” Corey said as he cheered and rushed out of the dining room.
Rosiley got dressed after she finished breakfast and headed out with the two brothers to the busiest mall in Benin City.
The mall had six floors. The jewelry and makeup counters were all concentrated on the first floor, and the upper floors consisted of restaurants and shoes and clothing shops. These shops were all the flagship stores of major domestic and foreign brands, and the goods that these shops sold commanded a very high price.
This wasn’t her first time coming to this mall but she hardly bought clothes that commanded such a high price even if she could afford it.
She stared after the brothers in disbelief as she watched the way they went about doing their shopping after they entered the mall.
She was especially shocked at how Corey behaved, for he would approach a shop assistant after entering a shop and say, “I’d like to try this, this, this… and those pieces there.”
These shop assistants could easily spot a rich guy when they saw one, so they immediately brought all the clothes over when they noticed how well-dressed he was.
Corey constantly sought her opinion as he tried on the clothes he had selected. “What do you think?”
“You look good.”
“Not bad.”
“You look handsome.”
She kept nodding and she enjoyed watching Corey trying on these clothes, for it was like watching a model strut down the walkway.
Sachin didn’t intend to shop that day since most of his clothes were specifically tailored for him and were imported from foreign lands. He stood by and watched as Corey continued to try on clothes.
Rosiley dragged him into a shop and helped him select several clothes to try on excitedly.
Her fashion sense was pretty good and she knew what the latest fashion trends were, so everything she had selected fit him to a tee.
Of course, this was also due to his perfect figure.
He had a tall build, long legs, and gave off a noble and elegant air, so everything he tried on made him seem even more handsome than usual. Many young women looked at him admiringly as he stepped out of the changing room.
Sachin had to admit that she had a keen sense of fashion but he looked meaningfully at her as he said, “You seem to have a lot of experience in picking out men’s clothes.”
Rosiley paused for a moment before her eyes curved into two crescent moons as she smiled. “I enjoy reading fashion magazines in my free time, so I’m in tune with the latest fashion trends for both men and women. You look great in whatever you wear, so I can’t help wanting to buy more clothes for you. Haha, it feels great picking out clothes for my own husband. This is the first time I’ve shopped for someone other than my dad!”
This meant that she hadn’t shopped for Yunis even when they were dating.
Sachin seemed pleased by her answer, and his gaze softened as he looked at her. He handed his black credit card over to the shop assistant and said, “I’ll take them all.”
“Sure.” The shop assistant smiled happily as she took his credit card and carefully wrapped up all the clothes that he had purchased. Sachin and his brother had spent more than a million yuan between them.
Rosiley stared at them in astonishment.
She should have known how rich these capitalists were. They didn’t even blink as they spent millions of yuan in one go.
Rosiley asked Sachin after they completed their purchases, “Are we heading home now?”
“No, we’re going elsewhere to shop,” Sachin said with a small smile. He asked his brother to bring their items to the car, then he led Rosiley into a women’s clothing shop.
Rosiley was confused for a moment before she exclaimed in surprise, “Are you planning to buy me some clothes?”
