Author’s POV
Grace looked at Rose who is sleeping on Damian’s chest like a baby. No one will believe that this is the same woman who killed a bunch of men a few hours ago.
“I am taking the room…”
Dominick nodded at Damian and he carried Rose towards the room.
“He doesn’t seem to leave his wife alone…”
Dominick chuckled.
“Just like someone i know.”
Grace snuggled in his neck.
They are flying back to Italy and Dom hasn’t let her go away from his touch.
“My wife is not my bodyguard…”
He played with her hair.
“Were you looking for one?”
Grace frowned cutely at him.
“No!”
Dominick pinched her cheeks.
“I am fond of bunnies not tigresses… A wife like Rose is too cold for me.”
“Poor Damian!”
Grace chuckled.
“Rose is so silent, how does he make her talk?…”
“Every man knows how to make his woman talk…”
He pecked her lips.
Grace looked at his face which still has scars.
“Are you really okay, Dom?… I saw your accident.”
“Shh..”
He placed her head on his chest.
“I am fine… I am glad that accident happened…”
“Don’t say it…”
Grace slapped his chest.
“You got your memory because of it…”
He played his chin on her head.
His accident was trigger point for her, as she lost memory in the same kind of accident. Her brain couldn’t take it and she suffered from coma until she recovered again.
But this time she played smart, she didn’t let them know that she knows everything.
“Well, dad must be happy knowing that you remember his contact number…”
Dominick chuckled.
Grace smiled. It wasn’t easy for her to recollect but she wasn’t aware of Dominick’s health so she called Massimo.
“He didn’t tell you that i remember everything?”
Grace asked.
“No he didn’t, maybe he wanted me to experience it.”
Dominick replied.
“He just called Rose and made me leave hospital bed… That’s the only thing I know… What did you talk to him?”
He asked.
Grace sighed and recalled the day when she called Massimo with trembling hands.
“H_Hello D_Dad…”
She tried to control her tears.
Massimo frowned hearing the voice.
“Who is this?”
He couldn’t recognise her crying voice.
“I am Grace!”
She replied.
He went silent for a second.
“Grace?”
“Dad please help me… I want to come back… I remember everything, i want to meet Dominick!”
She cried.
“Please tell me he is fine…”
“Grace calm down.”
He said.
“Dominick is alive but he injured…”
She sighed in relief knowing he is alive.
“Please take me with from here… I want to come back…”
“You will!…”
He said firmly.
“Even if you haven’t called…”
“He wasn’t wrong”
Dominick said.
“We were planning to kill Vlad… We almost did but you stopped us…”
“He is my brother…”
She replied.
“You can’t deny the fact that he has taken good care of me…”
“That’s the only reason i let him live…”
Dom sighed.
“But i wasn’t expecting him to let me go so easily… He agreed way too quickly after doing so much.”
Grace looked at him confused.
“Because there is a rule in Russian mafia…”
Dom caressed her head.
“I don’t want to accept but he really chose you over his pride…”
Grace looked at him curious.
“Russian mafia kills the woman if she gets pregnant by their enemy, doesn’t matter if she is mother, sister or wife… They think that she has become impure with enemies blood… There is no way to escape the death after that… Vlad knew that he can’t protect you from the vultures he is staying with so he let me take you, knowing that no one can touch Italian mafia Queen…”
“He did it to protect me?”
Grace smiled.
“I told you, he is not that bad…”
“I still hate him…”
Dom scowled.
“Don’t be… Don’t you think that we have came closer after whatever happened…”
She said while he covered her with blanket.
She stretched her legs and got comfortable.
“I’ll shift to another seat if you are not comfortable…”
He gently placed hand on her belly.
“Don’t…”
She wrapped her hands around his torso.
“I want you near me and this seat is big enough where we both can sleep…”
“I don’t want to lose you again, Bunny.”
He kissed her forehead.
“Neither do i…”
She promised.
“I have a feeling that everything will be perfect from now… This child is the key to our happiness. I never thought that I will experience this moment…”
“And i never thought that I will this much happy after knowing that i am going to become a father…”
He smiled.
“You are happy !?”
She asked.
“You have no idea”
He pecked her lips.
“I just can’t wait to see her face…”
“How do you know that it’s a girl?”
Grace asked.
“I just know, i have a feeling…”
He chuckled.
“Beautiful like you…”
“I want a boy… Like you!”
She smiled.
“Let’s see who wins”
Dom smiled and captured her lips.
They made love until they fell asleep in each other’s embrace.

“Dom calm down”
Anamika said.
“How can I?… She is screaming!”
Dom growled.
Doctors locked him out of the emergency room because he was not letting them touch Grace.
“She will be fine, It happens while delivering the baby…”
She replied.
“She is not fine, i can tell… She was facing complications… They told her it’s too risky to birth this child but she didn’t listen…”
Dom banged his fist on the wall.
“Dom don’t say that, it’s your child too…”
Anamika scolded.
He turned around when screams died down and doctors came out. They started trembling in front of Dominick.
“We are sorry King… We couldn’t save your wife!”
