Author’s POV
Grace looked at Dominick who was sleeping peacefully. His hold was strong around her like she will disappear. She can’t even move in his hold, he was literally holding her captive.
She couldn’t sleep all night thinking about the possibilities.
She glanced at the clock, half an hour was remaining to meet that man. She wants to to meet him but she also scared, what if he hurt her. But he was right, Dominick knows about her family and she knows that if he doesn’t want to tell her about it then there is a big reason behind it.
She needs to know the truth but the way Dominick is holding her, it’s impossible for her to even move.
She tried to remove his hand from her waist and His eyes snapped open.
“What happened?”
He asked in his morning voice.
She gulped knowing that she have to lie and she is not sure if he will believe her. It’s very important for her to go if she wants to know the truth.
“I am going out with, Maa and Raan… For morning walk.”
She lied.
He frowned.
“When did you decide that… And you were going without telling me?”
“I forgot to tell you and now you were asleep…”
She got up and removed his hand making him frown.
“It’s not that serious… It’s just a morning walk, Dom…”
“Hmm..”
He nodded.
“Okay… Go!”
She was little surprised when he said Go!
He usually never let her go anywhere, not even with his own family.
But she didn’t wait further, she walked towards the closet and changed into sweatpants and tshirt so he won’t suspect.
She grabbed her mobile and purse and walked out while Dominick was looking at her with frown.
Grace walked downstairs and headed towards her car.
“Where to Ma’am?”
Her bodyguard asked.
“Nathan, you don’t have to drive me… I’ll manage.”
She said looking around if anyone is there.
“I am sorry… I can’t let you out alone…”
He said.
“I have to inform Chief…”
Her eyes widened.
“Don’t!”
She sighed.
“Fine! You drive but don’t tell Dominick…”
He nodded and opened the door for her.
Grace was anxious, she was continuously checking her phone and looking outside until she reached the place.
“Wait here! I’ll be back in five minutes.”
She said and got out of the car.
Nathan nodded but Grace forgot that he is Dominick’s man and he can’t lie to him.
He called Dominick.
“Hello chief… Donna is in st. Stephen’s park.”
Grace stood on the same place waiting for the man.
“Good morning, Grace!”
She turned around when that man said.
“I don’t have time… Tell me everything.”
She demanded.
“You will know everything… I don’t have time either…”
He assured.
“Who are they and why did they abandoned me?”
She asked.
“They didn’t abandoned you. Circumstances wasn’t in their favour… You have father and brother unfortunately your mother is not in this world anymore.”
He confessed.
Grace wasn’t sure how to react on it.
“Who are they and why would Dominick hide it from me?”
“Not even Dominick but Stuart, the man you call father knows about it too. They all are hiding it from you.”
He said and hate was clear in his voice.
“Because they know that once you meet your real family then they can’t control you…”
Grace frowned at him and he stepped towards her.
“You are no ordinary girl, Grace… You belong to one of the strongest family in this world… And you can say that Marino’s are scared of them too… You are princess!.. Dominick knows that you won’t be his once you meet your family.”
“Who are they?”
She asked confused. There are still some things which are not clear to her.
“They know about you, Princess!.. and they are coming for you… Specially, he is coming for you… And trust me he will destroy each and every person who dared to hurt you…”
He declared.
“Who is he?”
She asked confused.
“He is___”
Grace gasped when he got shot in the head. She was horrified when his body landed near her feet.
Angry Dominick was standing in front of her.
“Why did you do this?”
She yelled in frustration.
“Nathan!”
He yelled at her bodyguard.
“Call Alexander and tell him to alert evryone, we are expecting attack. Double the security… Mother was going to Paris, cancel her trip… Go!”
“And you!”
He glared at her.
“Come with me”
He grabbed her arm and started dragging her towards his car.
“No!”
She jerked her hand back.
“You lied to me!”
She yelled.
“Grace sit inside the fucking car”
He yelled and she flinched back. He has never yelled at her like this. It shows how mad he is.
“Why did you lie to me?”
She asked again.
“Why?”
“Because you don’t need them”
He said angrily.
“I am your family… Your only family!”
He gritted.
“Do you understand?”
“I have all rights to about them”
She yelled in frustration.
“You are not safe Grace, get inside.”
He ordered.
“Let me decide it…”
She spat.
“You don’t have to decide it for me… I am not a child neither i am your pet to keep me caged in your house. I am a human being and my life is mine.”
“Get inside!”
He ordered again.
“All you do is control my life… That’s it.”
She yelled.
“You can’t change… You will never change… You promised me but still you killed that man yesterday…. You said you are trying but No!”
“He fucking touched you.”
He growled.
“So what?”
She cried.
“I am not the only woman in this world… You can’t kill each and every man who looks at me.”
“Enough is enough… I can’t fake it anymore.”
He gritted.
“Yes, i killed that man and i will kill each and every man who dares to touch you…”
He declared and her eyes widened.
“I was right… You can’t change…”
She looked at him hatefully.
“You are a monster and you will always be a monster.”
He nodded.
“Yes, I am a monster and you have to live with this monster…”
“Not anymore!”
She declared and he scrunched his eyebrows confused.
He clenched his jaw when she removed her wedding ring.
“I am leaving you, Dominick… I can’t stay with the man like you…”
She frowned when he started laughing like a maniac. This isn’t the Dominick she knows. He was scaring her.
“Too late, Bunny… You can’t get rid of me now.”
He snatched the ring from her hands.
“Let’s go home and i will make sure that you never try this again…”
He threatened.
“You broke too many rules to let you go without punishment.”
Her eyes widened as she saw the glimpse of Old Dominick. She turned on her heels and was about to run but he was quick to grab Her.
“Leave me!”
She yelled when he shoved her in the car.
He sat on driver’s seat while she banged her fists on the door.
“Let’s me go!”
She cried.
Dominick ignored her pleadings and started the car. Grace panicked and struggled even more.
“Fuck!”
Dominick cursed when he saw black SUVs following him. He called Alex.
“Alex, need your help… They are here.”
Grace looked at the line of black cars and frowned. Her eyes snapped towards Dominick when he grabbed her hand.
“You are mine, bunny… And i can’t loose you. Atleast not to them…”
She frowned at him when he said that.
“If I stayed alive today then i will come back and fight until I get you back… If i died then we will meet again in next life, hopefully i will be a man of your dreams…”
Grace looked at the cars and to Dominick.
“Why are you saying this?”
She frowned.
“You are not dying!”
Even though she was angry, she doesn’t want him to get hurt.
He chuckled.
“You think they will leave me alive. It’s a golden opportunity for them but i am happy that you care…”
Grace frowned.
“Who are they?”
“Our enemies___”
Before he completes their car flew out of the road with loud sound.
“Dom!”
Grace screamed when she was harshly thrown forward.
“Grace!”
Dominick cried when he saw her body flying out of the car while he rolled beside the door along with broken car.
He whimpered when he saw her body in pool of blood, thousands of glasses were cutting into her delicate skin.
“Grace!”
He cried. Her face was covered in bed.
His leg was stuck as car was upside down but still he tried to crawl towards her and grabbed her bloody hand. His heart almost stopped beating when he couldn’t feel her pulse beating.
“Grace!”
He Screamed.
“Please, No!”
He looked at her innocent face which was lifeless now.
He noticed footsteps getting louder. They were surroundings his car.
He didn’t moved his eyes from Her face but he recognised the voice of his enemies.
“Burn him down along with his fucking car… Make sure they won’t even find his fucking ashes.”
Dominick was bleeding heavily, he was holding her hand tightly until darkness gathered around his eyes. His heart dropped when he realised that she is not with him anymore.
He didn’t even try to fight and closed his eyes, letting his enemy burn him down because Without his Grace there was nothing left to live for.
He was ready to embrace death so he can meet her in another world.
