Author’s POV
“Are we going to stay like this whole day…”
Grace chuckled drawing lazy circles on his shoulder. They are still in bed.
“We had meeting today, you know”
His eyes were adoring her.
“I know but my wife is more important to me.”
She blushed.
“So workholic Dominick Marino is really changing..”
She looked at him.
He smiled tucking her hair behind her ear.
“Only for you…”
“It was my department’s meeting… I have answer everyone now…”
She replied.
“No one will question you… They know who you are”
He kept caressing her hair.
“Not that… I want it professional, you know…”
She said.
“I don’t want to misuse my reputation…”
“Good enough..”
He replied with same dazeful smile.
“Are you even paying attention to me?”
She frowned playfully.
“Hmm..”
He smiled.
“I am seeing how my scared rabbit is becoming a parrot… You wasn’t able to talk without stuttering and now you can’t stop talking…”
“Isn’t it good… We are doing progress.”
She smiled.
“Hmm”
He slide his hand around her waist.
“We can do more progress…”
He nuzzled in her neck.
She giggled when it tickled her.
“No!”
She grabbed his hand.
“We have had enough… Let’s get out of the bed…”
“And what?”
He asked lazily.
“Let’s go out…”
She suggested.
“Out?”
He looked at her.
“Means not On a date we usually go…”
She cleared.
“No fancy restaurant, no candle light dinner… Just casual roaming around, only you and me…”
“And how we do that?”
He has never experienced something like this.
“We can go for a shopping instead, you haven’t done it in a long time.”
“No!”
Grace whined.
“Then I’ll get busy in selecting clothes and you will get busy with calls… I want to spend time together… You know, hand in hand and all”
He shrugged.
“I don’t know what are you talking about… But i am ready to experience that also… Let’s go.”
Grace grinned and got out of the bed excited.
“Okay but seriously you haven’t seen any romantic movie?”
Dominick followed her to the closet.
“You think i was interested in romance?… Alex used to watch that kind of movies, i intentionally avoided.”
“Don’t worry I’ll show you some…”
She snapped her fingers with huge smile.
“Idea… We are going for a movie date… That too romantic!”
“At last moment… Theatre must be full.”
He replied.
Grace smiled naughtily.
“Come on… It’s just two seats. I know you can book whole theatre… Do it! I’ll get ready till then…”
She said with grin.
“You are learning how to use my power…”
He chuckled.
She shrugged.
“Ofcourse… Benefits of having mafia husband…”
He smiled and called his secretary while Grace got ready. She was wearing knee Length grey dress and heels.
She looked at Dominick who was wearing suit.
“What are you doing?”
She frowned.
“Wearing clothes.”
He replied.
“These clothes?”
She questioned.
He looked at her confused.
“These clothes!.. i wear it everyday.”
“We are not going to business meeting… It’s a outing okay…”
She walked towards his closet. She grabbed jeans and grey shirt.
“Wear this. Ditch the suit today.”
He smiled and took it from her.
“You are really excited!”
“Yes! I am”
She replied with huge grin.
Dominick happily wore clothes which she has selected for him.
“What are you doing?”
He asked when she clicked their picture.
“Taking selfie”
She replied.
“First time i am seeing you in these kind of clothes. At least in Italy.”
She was struggling to reach his height so he took the mobile from her and clicked their four selfies.
“Done!… Let’s go now.”
Grace hold his hand and walked along with him. Dom looked at the hold and smiled. This is what he wants.
Raan, Bella and Anamika was sitting in the living room when they reached there.
Their jaw dropped when they saw Dominick in casuals.
“You got to be fucking kidding me.”
Raan exclaimed.
“Am i dreaming?”
“No! You are not…”
Grace smiled.
“We are going out… Not on a date.. just like this, for fun.”
“Wow!.. visit naturals they have best ice cream… If you want to eat ofcourse.”
Bella suggested.
“Noted!”
Grace replied and looked at Anamika who has happy smile on her face.
“What are you guys waiting for, Go!”
Anamika said.
Dominick smiled at her and walked out with Grace. He really appreciate how much supportive his mother is.
Dominick opened the car door for her and she sat inside.
“So, Where are we going?”
He asked while taking driver seat.
“Let’s eat ice cream first… We’ll decide later.”
She suggested.
“Okay”
He chuckled and started the car.
“Dom wait… There is book store”
She patted on his shoulder while looking out of the window.
“You want to buy books?”
He asked while stopping the car.
“I want to see if there is some book i don’t have…”
She replied.
They got out of the car and walked towards the store.
“Wow! It’s heaven for me.”
She said in awe when she saw all famous and her favourite books. She loves the smell of new books.
Dominick was enjoying her smile and the way she was checking books excitingly.
“I had no idea about this store…”
She said taking one book from the shelf.
“This store is new ma’am… We launched it last week.”
Staff who was attending her replied.
“Ohh nice!.. I’ll be your regular customer.”
She chuckled.
“Sure ma’am… We have all recent published books and if you want old collections then we can order it for you.”
She said.
“Really?… I’ll give you the list of books i want, can you order it for me. I couldn’t find online.”
She said.
“Ofcourse ma’am…”
She replied.
“We also have hardcovers in this book… You want to see?”
She said looking at the book Grace has selected.
Grace pouted.
“Hardcovers are too expensive… Beautiful but expensive”
“Give her Hardcovers…”
Dominick ordered.
“And whatever you will order for her, order it in hardcovers only.”
Grace looked at him with wide eyes.
“Dom, Hardcovers?… It’s really expensive… And i buy books like anything. I don’t think it’s necessary.”
He smiled and pecked her lips.
“Whatever my bunny wants, will have it… No buts and ifs.”
She sighed.
“But__”
“You are a wife of billionaire… You can buy diamonds daily and it still won’t affect me, these are just books…”
He chuckled.
“I prefer books over diamonds..”
She chuckled.
“It’s a good deal then… Let’s go now.”
He paid for books and they went towards their car.
“Ice cream is it?”
He asked while keeping books in back seat.
“Yes”
she sat inside.
“Which flavour you like?”
“I don’t know… I usually don’t eat ice cream…”
He replied.
“You don’t eat ice cream… I am not surprised.”
She said, she has never seen him eating Ice cream.
“I’ll have dark chocolate…”
He said and her head snapped towards him.
Grace laughed.
“Dom… It’s ice cream, it’s supposed to be sweet… And in that you want dark chocolate…”
“There is only one sweet thing in my life and i prefer her as my desert…”
He winked making her blush.
He parked at car at ice cream parlour and they both got out.
Few heads turned towards them as they saw handsome couple walking in.
“You should try chocolate with me… You will love it…”
She said and ordered chocolate ice cream for themselves.
“How is it?”
She asked when he ate spoonful.
“Sweet but not more than you.”
He replied.
Grace blushed and focused on her ice cream.
He was continuously glancing at her and chuckled when he saw she is focused on the ice cream just like bunny is focused on carrot.
She finished her ice cream and dropped the cup in wastebin. She had ice cream on her lips, Dominick leaned down and licked the ice cream from her lips.
Grace froze for a second, they were in public.
“Your flavour was sweeter than mine.”
He whispered.
“We had same flavour, Dom.”
She turned red and looked down with shy smile.
“Don’t blush like this otherwise I’ll cancel our plan and will take you back to the bed.”
He teased.
She slapped his arm.
“Shut up… Let’s go now.”
They came outside and Grace saw some celebration kind of function in the garden.
They were playing games and dancing together.
“What is that?”
She asked Dominick.
“May be some kind of celebration… Some communities arrange it for themselves.”
He replied.
“Let’s attend”
She said.
“It’s not for us… It’s for their community only.”
He replied.
“They are Christian, we are Christian… It’s same, let’s go… They are having fun.”
She grabbed his hand and dragged him towards it.
“I am not christian.”
He replied.
Grace frowned at him.
“You are not christian?… Ohh! Do you follow your mother’s religion?”
“No!”
He shook his head.
“I don’t believe in god! I am Atheist.”
“Ohh!”
She looked surprised.
“I never noticed it.”
“Do you have problem with it?”
He asked.
“No!.. it’s your choice… I personally feel religion should be choice… We should follow in which we find peace…”
She replied.
“But you can still have fun there.”
She pointed towards the celebration.
He chuckled.
“Okay let’s go!”
They walked inside and Grace grinned.
“They didn’t stop us…”
“Lucky us…”
He chuckled.
Grace looked around and noticed different stalls where they were selling arts and crafts. They had fun games and everything.
“Dom, It’s a Chinese festival… I thought it’s from christian community.”
“Does it matter?”
He asked.
“You want to have fun… Then Have fun!”
“No it’s not a problem but i can’t speak Chinese.”
She pouted.
“Grace they are in Italy… They must be knowing English…”
He replied.
“But it will be so fun to talk in Chinese…”
She replied.
He shook his head.
“First Learn Italian language and then we will think about Chinese…”
He dragged her inside.
Grace excitingly looked around. She stopped by one game where they were throwing rings in the stick and winner will get the prize.
She insisted to try this and he let her play it.
They gave her four rings but none of it landed in the stick.
She looked at Dominick with puppy face.
“Can you please try for me?”
He chuckled and nodded. Grace looked at him with praying hands when started throwing rings.
“Yes!”
She jumped in happiness when threw all rings in place.
“Congratulations ma’am… You won this handmade art piece…”
The man handed it her.
It was wooden dragon, beautifully carved.
“Thank you!”
Grace smiled and looked at Dominick.
“Happy?”
He asked and she nodded.
“Okay, Stay here I need to use washroom….”
She nodded.
“Okay”
“Grace, don’t go anywhere… I want you here at the same place when i come back.”
He said strictly.
“Okay… Understood… I’ll be here. Don’t worry.”
She assured.
He nodded and walked away. Grace stood there looking at her prize.
“You are looking happy with your husband.”
She looked at the man who was standing in front of her. He was Chinese but tall and build like a bodyguard.
“Who are you?”
She asked alert.
“Doesn’t matter…”
He replied.
“Don’t worry i am not here to harm you… In fact i am here to save you…”
“What?”
She frowned.
“I know about your real family!”
He declared and her eyes widened.
