As quickly as Andreas’ voice became husky, Vlora felt the air around her change. She immediately assumed a cautious posture, anticipating every possible scenario that might unfold.
Vlora shifted slightly when Andreas said that so explicitly. His tone was soft, but she could sense the underlying desire.
“You’re not wearing a bra under that nightgown.”
Vlora froze. She forced her brain to think quickly to take precautions. Unfortunately, Andreas’ voice returned and interrupted her train of thought.
“Am I right?”
Spontaneously blinking, Andreas’ intense gaze made Vlora move. Her natural instinct urged her to put some distance between them. She had to keep her distance and be on guard. At the very least, she should fold her arms across her chest.
But no. This was Vlora. She never let anyone intimidate her. Including Andreas.
Andreas was well aware of this. So, he remained calm, but alert. He was sure that Vlora would not run away. On the contrary, he was curious what she would do.
She’ll face me.
Andreas’ assessment was indeed correct. Vlora did not face him with fear, but with a calm smile.
“Is that all you can think about, Reas?” Vlora asked controlled. Her gaze seemed confident as she returned Andreas’ gaze. “Ah, you really disappoint me.”
“Disappoint you?”
“For someone so experienced with women, I thought you wouldn’t be so easily tempted by breasts without a bra, of all things.”
Andreas burst out laughing. He laughed heartily.
“To be honest, I’m not easily tempted anymore.”
The laughter stopped. His forehead furrowed and Andreas let out a short chuckle.
“No, not tempted, but interested,” Andreas corrected his statement. “I’m not just interested anymore. Even pole dancers or belly dancers have become commonplace for me. I can watch them while reviewing annual financial reports.”
Vlora snorted. It sounded mocking, but ironically it only strengthened Andreas’ confidence.
“Unfortunately, there has to be an exception for a future wife.”
Silence. No visible reaction. Vlora seemed unaffected, although the opposite was true.
Vlora might seem cold, but that didn’t mean she didn’t have feelings. The proof was in the way Andreas’ words made her hold her breath.
“Oh, I had no idea there was such an exception.”
Andreas let out a short chuckle. “It turns out there are a lot of things you don’t know, darling. Shall I tell you one by one?”
“Is that an offer?”
“It could be considered an offer or an invitation. It depends on how you see it,” Andreas replied with a thin grin. “Just like how I choose to see something fascinating.”
The implication of food was palpable in Andreas’ statement. Vlora swallowed. There was a faint flutter in her heart.
Still, Vlora did not waver. She did not tremble. In fact, she remained calm.
“You know, don’t you? I’m not Nadine. I’m not like your ex-girlfriends.”
“That’s why, darling, I won’t treat you like them.”
Andreas reached out and caressed the side of Vlora’s face with the tips of his fingers.
“You must have realized the extent of the difference between you and them, but shh!” Andreas shook his head once. His expression changed, seemed wounded.
“Never mention them when it’s just the two of us. It hurts my self-esteem, Vlo.”
Vlora narrowed her eyes. “Isn’t it the other way around? Shouldn’t I be the one to say that?”
“No. I should be the one to say it.”
Andreas’ fingers continued to move, playing with Vlora’s cheek. Now he even teased her slightly wavy hair.
“When you mention her, I feel slapped. You remind me that I’ve been terrible at choosing women all along.”
Vlora laughed. “You’re really good at charm, Reas.”
“Oh, am I?”
Andreas’ eyes sparkled. He enjoyed Vlora’s laughter, which flowed freely.
“Did I impress you?”
Vlora did not answer. She just snorted with an amused expression.
“I hope so, because I can impress you even more.”
Vlora did not have time to ask the question that came to her mind. She could not answer at all, because Andreas, who quickly seized the opportunity, made a move.
Andreas’ hand, which had been playfully touching Vlora’s face, moved. It only had to move slightly to slip between the strands of her hair. His hand landed on the nape of her neck, and then he pulled in a slow motion that proved effective in positioning Vlora where he wanted her.
Andreas’ lips parted as the kiss formed. Without warning, he engulfed Vlora’s lips in a deep, passionate kiss. He kissed her fervently, enjoying her softness.
Vlora was surprised. She blinked. Unfortunately, her startled sound was perfectly muffled by the sound of Andreas’ lips against hers.
But that was not all. Vlora felt Andreas’ other hand move slowly to her waist.
Andreas’ fingers moved to the loosely tied ribbon.
Vlora would not remain passive. Her hands rose and landed on Andreas’ chest. She wanted to push him away, but froze when she felt Andreas’ touch continue.
Andreas was well aware that there was always a chance that Vlora would push him away. But he was driven more by his own desire, which he could not control. As he tasted the sensation of Vlora’s lips, there was a gravitational pull that made it impossible for him to pull away.
Andreas’ lips moved in a sensual dance. He caressed Vlora’s lips and then the warm touch of his tongue created a space between them.
Andreas closed his eyes. A flood of emotions made it impossible for him to see the world.
Warmth. Sweetness. Addictive.
Those were the three words that accurately described all the feelings Andreas was experiencing at that moment. Something that made him want to push aside any possibility of rejection.
Andreas persisted. He tugged at the ribbon of Vlora’s robe, untying the simple knot with a gentle tug. His fingers quickly found their place at Vlora’s curvaceous waist. He squeezed gently, causing Vlora’s body to arch naturally, drawing her closer to him.
