Andreas arrived on time, just as he promised a few days ago. After gaining access, he entered the elevator and headed to the floor where Vlora’s unit was located. His steps halted at the door numbered 1801.
He pressed the doorbell and didn’t have to wait long. Maybe just five seconds, and the door opened. Then he was taken aback.
Andreas would not deny that he had known too many beautiful women. They were countless, to be exact.
However, he also could not deny that what he saw that night was a level of sensuality he had never imagined before. Flawless and truly impeccable.
Andreas stood there, momentarily stunned. Then his lips curved into a smile filled with admiration.
“You are truly amazing.”
Can the words of a player be trusted? For Vlora herself, it was a challenge. Fortunately, she had no intention of gambling on something so insignificant. Whether she was amazing or not had nothing to do with Andreas.
Andreas’ praise would not have any impact on Vlora. And what she displayed at that moment was not meant to amaze Andreas in any way.
“Thank you, but I hope you’re not thinking too highly of me,” Vlora calmly replied. She added, “I did it because I wanted to.”
Andreas blinked and looked at Vlora. “Of course. I never thought for a moment that you were trying to impress me. Unfortunately, it’s something we can’t anticipate.”
If Vlora had any doubt about Andreas’ honesty, she could recall the brief flicker in his eyes earlier. Brief, but clear. Even his facial expression changed, if only for a fraction of a second. It was a reaction often referred to by people as being fascinated.
Andreas would openly admit it. He was truly fascinated, and it was not without reason. Rather, it was because there were so many reasons that momentarily rendered him speechless.
Up until now, Andreas had often met Vlora in a formal setting. While they did not have any official interactions, the location and timing forced them to face each other in the context of their work attire. It was clearly different this time.
Vlora’s curvaceous body was wrapped in a mermaid-cut gown. The luxurious and shimmering fabric enveloped her slim figure, with a flared bottom from the knees down.
The gown had a halter neckline, sleeveless and feminine in its cut, yet giving off a strong impression that suited a woman like Vlora perfectly.
Another point that caught Andreas’ attention was the high slit that showcased Vlora’s long legs.
The overall effect was enhanced by the sequin embellishments that made Vlora shine like a radiant gem in the night. A blazing red gem.
“Shall we go now?”
Andreas nodded, and shortly after, they were in the car, blending into the flow of traffic.
There was available time, a suitable opportunity. It not only filled the void of the journey but also served as a notice that Andreas deserved to receive from Vlora.
“My family is not the warm and welcoming type. So please understand if there won’t be any warm greetings or lighthearted jokes to bring us closer. I hope you can adapt easily.”
Andreas glanced briefly and found that Vlora’s gaze did not even waver at her words. Her eyes were fixed straight ahead. She appeared calm with a faint movement in her chest, a sign that she took a deep breath in response.
“You’re lucky. I have a fairly high adaptability for various situations. It’s not a problem for me.”
Andreas nodded with a rhythmic motion. “I had a hunch. You are indeed the perfect choice.”
“Because of my adaptability?”
“No, but because you meet all the criteria I desire,” Andreas said, exhaling. There was one thing he needed to make sure of. “I guess you’re not the type of woman who would let her belongings be taken by someone else.”
This time, Vlora turned her head slightly, furrowing her forehead.
“I’m not sure I understand your meaning, but I tend to retaliate.”
“Very sweet. I know that, and I like it.”
It took another ten minutes before evening transitioned into seven o’clock. At that moment, the car Andreas was driving passed through the grand entrance of his house.
Vlora remained still, occasionally glancing with her eyes to take in the vastness of the residents known as the Sanders Mansion. Apparently, “big” truly meant big.
The remaining ten minutes practically flew by until they truly arrived in the courtyard of the house. It was not just because of the distance, but also because they had to patiently wait in the queue of vehicles.
Two security guards opened the car doors simultaneously. They both stepped out, and Andreas handed over the car keys for it to be parked.
Andreas extended his hand, and Vlora accepted it. Together, they walked into the festivity.
“Let’s meet my parents first,” Andreas whispered as he glanced at his watch. He scanned the surroundings and spotted Frans. His personal assistant nodded once. “It’ll be soon. After Papa opens this party.”
Vlora nodded without ignoring the unusual flicker in Andreas’ demeanor. She saw his eyes briefly directed somewhere. Unfortunately, there was nothing there anymore.
“Let’s go.”
