Edward growled, “Mr. Karl, please don’t forget she is Mrs. King, my wife”
Mr. Karl looked at lovesick Edward and said, “Of course I remember, young man! Please take care of your woman there are numerous man” then he gave disgusting look to Amaya and continued, “and women to take away your beautiful wife from you”
Edward nodded; no one can read his emotions right now. He hasn’t spoken a word after knowing everything.
Mr. Karl picked up his son and left the ward, Autumn turned towards Amaya and said, “See Amaya I told you I will gift father to your child and I did it”
Saying that she turned her wheelchair and was about to leave the ward. But Amaya was unable to accept her defeat.
She angrily picked a glass from the side table of her bed and threw it towards Autumn with full force.
Amaya’s action was so unpredictable that it was impossible for anyone to think of protecting Autumn and soon the sound of glass crashing the floor was heard.
When everyone turned, including Autumn, they found Mrs. King fell on the floor, her head covered with blood.
Everyone was shocked. Mr. King ran and picked her in his arms and shouted, “Call the doctors, Now”, Mrs. King said with breaking breaths, “I am really sorry for all my mistakes” and said that she fainted.
Mrs. King was immediately admitted to the emergency room. Everyone was so worried about Mrs. King that they forgot about Amaya and she took this as an opportunity and ran away.
After a few hours doctor came out of the emergency room and informed everyone, “The injury on Mrs. King’s forehead was serious; she had twelve stitches on her forehead”
Edward didn’t know what to feel at this moment, because of Mrs. King, Autumn is safe but can he forgive her for what she did in the past?
Autumn held Edward’s hand and said, “Eddy we are humans and we can make mistakes we cannot forget the good doing of people because of their few mistakes”
Edward sighed and kneeled down in front of Autumn and said, “Baby, you don’t know what all Mom had done”
Autumn smiled lightly and said, “I know everything”
Edward was startled, Autumn continued, “I heard you all talking on the day of accident and still I prefer to forgive Mom because if she haven’t protected me today I would be lying on that operation table instead of her”
“Edward I feel guilty because of me people around me are getting hurt in protecting me I just want to have a simple sweet family”
“It was Amaya’s mistake that she took advantage of Mom’s love it is not Mom’s mistake, she is not at fault to love her daughter I am happy that at least now Mom had seen everything from her own eyes”
“Now she will also think before trusting anyone”
Mr. King caressed Autumn’s head lovingly and said, “We are blessed to have you”
After sometimes Mrs. King was shifted to the VIP ward, the moment she opened her eyes she asked Mr. King weakly, “Where is Autumn?”
Edward pushed Autumn’s wheelchair and brought her close to Mrs. King’s bed. The moment Mrs. King saw Autumn she burst out crying saying, “I know I can’t even ask for forgiveness for the dirty things I have done”
“Believe me Autumn somewhere in my heart I always felt that you can never cheat my Eddy but I was blinded by Amaya, I just wanted to give her mother’s love”
“I always felt guilty for her, please punish me the way you want but please forgive me”
Autumn held Mrs. King’s hand and said, “Mom, how can I not forgive you because of you I am safe and sound”
Mrs. King never thought that Autumn could forgive her so easily.
After some time everyone left the room. Edward brought Autumn to her ward. Lee, Ethan, and Elizabeth headed home.
In Mrs. King’s ward, she was ashamed of making eye contact with Mr. King, she said hesitating and holding back her tears, “I will sign the divorce papers and I agree with all your terms of divorce”
Mr. King sat next to her on the bed and said, “You really think I will let you go so easily”
Mrs. King said in breaking voice, “I know I have disappointed you”
“You were always naive and I knew that if I told you anything about Amaya’s intention you would not believe so I had to do this act”, Mr. King replied.
Mr. s King held his hand in her hand and said kissing it, “Thank you so much for not giving up on me, today I promise I would always take any decision after discussing with you, I will never disappoint you”
Mr. King kissed her forehead and said, “You really thought that I would divorce you so easily, in your dreams Mrs. King, have you forgotten you vowed to be with me till your last breath…and believe me I am not going to leave you nor let you leave me till our last breath”
Mrs. King smiled with teary eyes and asked, “How will I face Autumn and our grandchildren after what I did?”
“She forgave you before us, she is really a good child,” Mr. King replied.
A week passed and Mrs. King and Autumn were discharged from the hospital. After completing the discharge formalities Edward picked Autumn in his arms and said, “I have a surprise for you”
Autumn saw him smiling after so long she felt like her life was bright again. From the day babies were delivered he had never let her feet touch the floor.
He would always carry her in his arms everywhere; he wouldn’t even let her go to the bathroom alone.
Everyone reached home before Autumn and Edward, soon their car halted at the mansion’s gate.
