Elizabeth patted her back and said, “Are you planning to fall sick by crying so much”
Autumn nodded negatively and said wiping her tears, “I can’t help, I just can’t see Lee like this, I feel like someone is squeezing my heart”
Elizabeth smiled and said caressing her forehead, “Do you think he is so weak, you don’t know him well sweetie, he is very strong and he will wake up soon”
Because of Elizabeth’s presence, Autumn was feeling better now and finally, she slept.
Few days passed and Lee was still in a coma. Autumn was also in hospital till now, she used to have lunch with the other four injured bodyguards, as they were in better condition now.
Everyone tried to take her home but Autumn was adamant to leave Lee’s side. Lee was shifted out of ICU.
Today when Autumn went to have lunch with other bodyguards followed by Edward, after all these incidents he never left alone even for a minute.
He was ready to follow her to the bathroom also, but Autumn didn’t allow him, Ethan and Mr. King were looking after business to help Edward.
Elizabeth was alone in Lee’s ward, she sat on the bed next to him and took his one hand in her hands and said, “Lee, my brave son when are you going to wake up”
While Elizabeth was talking to lifeless Lee, tears were continuously rolling down her cheeks and falling on Lee’s hand.
“Don’t tell me you are planning to leave me and our princess alone, I agree you fulfilled your promise you your wife, but that doesn’t meant that you are free now”
“You daughter needs you, your grandchildren are about to come to this world, how can you run away from your responsibility”
“You want your grandchildren also live a life, like our princess, they would not even know how their maternal grandpa looked”
Suddenly she felt movement in the hand which was in her hand, being a nurse for so long she understood that Lee can listen to her and something is triggering him.
She continued with a hope, “Your grandchildren will know that they have only one grandpa and that is Mr. King, they will not even know about your existence”
She again felt the movement, she understood that talking about grandchildren is triggering him, she again said, “You know if you are safe then you can tell your bravery stories to your grandchildren”
“But look at you, you are sleeping here peacefully and soon you’re oh sorry! not yours but Mr. King’s grandchildren will be in this world very soon”
She couldn’t believe what she heard next, she heard Lee’s weak voice, “They are my grandchildren”
Elizabeth couldn’t believe her eyes and ears, she cried happily, kissed his forehead and rang the calling bell for doctors, and just in a few minutes a team of doctors came and ran a check-up on Lee.
Autumn and Edward also came to the ward after getting the news, soon the doctor announced that Lee is fine and can be discharged soon from the hospital.
Autumn was so happy that the moment doctors left the ward she forgot about her pregnancy and almost jump on Lee and hugged him tightly and said, “I am so happy”
Lee tried to caress her head but stopped himself thinking that it would uncover his identity but Edward nodded and it gave Lee some invisible power and he caressed her head.
He felt so happy, he was able to adore his daughter after ten or eleven years, he held back his tears. Seeing this Edward said holding Autumn’s shoulder, “Baby Lee is still weak, let him rest”
Autumn nodded and stood beside Lee, she had an ear to ear smile on her face, Edward asked, “Baby now Lee also woke up now can you please come home with me”
Autumn agreed and said, “I will come with you but you have to promise me that you will not give any work to Lee till he is perfectly fine, not even driving”
Ethan entered the ward and said, “As my princess wish, everything will be done as per my princess’s command”
Edward was feeling like he was not needed here, but he was still very happy, but there was a fear in the dark corner of his heart.
He always had a fear that things would change after the birth of his boys. Every happy moment haunts him at the same time
After a week Lee was discharged from the hospital and Autumn didn’t let him leave the mansion she ordered him to stay with them till he recovers properly.
She would personally take care of him, although Lee loved being close to his daughter and getting her love but he was worried about her health also because she completely forgets about herself sometimes.
Everyone had just finished lunch and Edward tucked Autumn in the bed to take a nap, Edward was worried to hell seeing Autumn’s condition, her feet were swollen.
She was having a problem walking straight, her delivery dates were close.
After coming out of his bedroom, he walked towards Lee’s room and found Elizabeth changing his bandage.
He sat next to him and said, “I can’t take it anymore, why can’t you tell her about your identity”
Lee replied, “You know why I am not telling it to her”
Edward said, “Have you ever thought how happy she would be? How happy she would be to know she have her own family, she is not just an adopted daughter of the Walker family? ”
Elizabeth replied looking at Lee, “I agree with Edward I think we should tell our princess about our identity”
Lee sighed and said “Ok”
Edward was happy he was about to stand but Elizabeth held his hand and said, “But not now, only after her delivery”
Edward frowned, “Why not, in fact it would be good, she will be very happy.”
Elizabeth smiled sadly and said, “You are right, but with the happiness, memories of her mother’s death will also come and this is not the right time for her to get sad over anything”
“Keeping her mental health stable is much more important than telling her truth at this moment”
Edward sighed and said, “Okay I will do as you say, and we will tell her truth just after the delivery”
Elizabeth nodded.
