But she forced herself up, holding onto her torn dress, and quickly left.
Meanwhile, Frank went to Bianca, feeling sorry. “Miss Scott, we messed up with the competition. We’re really sorry. We’ll do better in the future to stop this from happening again.”
Bianca smiled kindly. “Thank you, Mr. Hudson.”
Frank nodded. “Let’s go see Mr. Lee now.”
In an earlier competition, Dave saw something wrong when Bianca rode out on a black horse. He quietly sent people to check.
As expected, they found out Bianca’s horse had been messed with and moved on purpose.
Then, Frank got a call from the president of the Edenfield Horsemanship Association, warning about safety issues. If they didn’t find who switched the horses, their club might shut down.
Worried, Frank started a big investigation.
He was surprised at how the president found out about it.
With Bianca and Dave, Frank went to Gabriel’s private lounge.
Frank knocked twice, then announced, “Mr. Lee, Bianca Scott is here.”
“Let her in,” a deep voice replied.
Frank looked at Dave next to Bianca and said, “Mr. Lee wants to talk to you alone, Bianca. So…”
Bianca got it and whispered to Dave, “I’ll go in alone. Wait here for a bit.”
Dave frowned. “I’ll be right outside. Just call if you need me.”
“Sure.”
Bianca opened the door to Gabriel’s lounge and went in.
Gabriel was playing billiards in the middle of the room. When he saw Bianca, he put down his cue and leaned against the table.
He wore a navy blue suit that fit him perfectly. Gabriel looked like he was in his thirties. He wasn’t super handsome, but he had a calm and confident vibe, like a successful businessperson.
“Are you Bianca Scott? I just saw you handling Lightning. It was amazing,” Gabriel said, looking impressed. He looked at Bianca for a moment, then focused on her slender hands.
He squinted playfully, making Bianca feel a bit uncomfortable under his gaze.
Gabriel leaned against the table and looked at Bianca with pride. “I promised to do anything for whoever tamed Lightning. So, what do you want? I’ll grant you one wish, if it’s possible.”
Bianca smiled politely. “Thank you, Mr. Lee. Actually, I entered the competition just to meet you.”
“Really?” Gabriel raised his eyebrows, looking curious. “Why did you want to meet me so badly?”
“For your wife, Sophia.”
When Bianca mentioned Sophia’s name, Gabriel’s smile disappeared. He thought she wanted something from him, like money or power, as many people did.
But she was doing this for Sophia, which surprised him.
“Why do you want to find her?” Gabriel asked seriously, sitting on the leather sofa with his legs crossed.
“Do you know Vincent Lopez, the director? He’s making a new movie, and I think Sophia would be perfect for the lead role. He wants her to come back to acting through his movie.”
Gabriel snorted and looked at Bianca defiantly. “I already said no to him. Did he send you to change my mind?”
‘It was Gabriel who turned down Vincent’s offer? But what about Sophia? How does she feel about this?’
Bianca sensed something wasn’t right, but she kept her polite smile. “No, it’s not like that. I just want to talk to Sophia in person. Phoenix Entertainment would love to sign such a talented actress.”
Gabriel looked surprised. So, this woman did all this for herself. He had to admit, she was very determined.
She came here, competed in a horse competition, tamed a tough horse, and even won, all to meet Sophia.
Interesting…
A smile appeared at the corner of Gabriel’s mouth. He stood up, went to Bianca, and took her hand.
Bianca was surprised, and her first instinct was to pull away, but Gabriel held her hand gently. He stroked the back of her hand with his thumb and said softly, “Such beautiful hands managed to tame the toughest horse. That’s impressive.”
“Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Lee,” Bianca said with a forced smile, quickly pulling her hand back. She also stepped back, keeping some distance between them.
Gabriel chuckled. “I’ll let you meet Sophia, but on one condition.”
“What is it?”
“Come to my room after you meet with her. I’ll tell you then,” Gabriel said, with a hint of desire in his eyes.
Bianca understood what he meant. She bit her lip, feeling unsure of how to respond.
“If you don’t do it, then you won’t get to see Sophia. But you can ask for something else. As long as I can…”
“I’ll do it.” Bianca suddenly lifted her head and looked directly at Gabriel. “But I have a condition, too.”
Intrigued, Gabriel smiled slyly. “Yes?”
“I want to meet Sophia alone.”
Gabriel went quiet for a moment, his eyes roaming over the delicate and beautiful woman before him. What a stunning figure she had! If only he could…
He swallowed hard, his own desires taking over. He eagerly agreed to her request. “Sure, I’ll set up a private meeting between you and Sophia at seven tonight. Give me your number, and I’ll call you then.”
Bianca looked away and whispered, “Okay.”
Dave leaned against the wall, checking his phone while he waited for Bianca.
When she came out of Gabriel’s lounge, he put his phone away, stood up, and walked over.
“How did it go?” he asked.
Bianca looked down and replied quietly, “He said I can meet Sophia at seven tonight.”
Dave noticed Bianca’s pale face and frowned. Her plan worked, so why did she look worried?
“What’s wrong? Did he give you trouble?” Dave asked, concerned.
Bianca forced a smile and shook her head. “No, everything’s okay.”
She didn’t want to drag Dave into more trouble. He had already helped her a lot.
Dave’s expression turned serious. He knew she was lying, but he followed her out of the club without saying anything.
At exactly seven o’clock, Bianca got a call from Gabriel. He arranged for her and Sophia to meet at a French restaurant.
After getting ready, Bianca took a taxi straight to the restaurant.
When she arrived, she saw Gabriel waiting at the door, looking confident and powerful as ever.
Bianca hesitated for a moment, but then she gathered her courage. She took a deep breath and walked confidently towards Gabriel.
“Mr. Lee.”
Bianca wore a white shirt with a lace collar, a favorite of hers. She paired it with a denim wrap skirt, giving her a professional and elegant look.
Gabriel raised his eyebrows playfully, his eyes fixed on Bianca.
He took a card from his pocket and tucked it into Bianca’s collar. Leaning in, he whispered, “Remember what you promised. I’ll be waiting for you in the room.”
