Chapter 30: Don’t You Dare Try To Escape

Bianca followed him out, her gaze fixed on his broad back.
His suit looked expensive and perfectly tailored, unlike what he usually wore around her. It reminded her of what he wore on the night of her engagement party.
‘Does he always dress like this? If so, why does he dress so casually when he’s with me?’
Noticing Bianca’s suspicious gaze, Dave seemed to understand and explained calmly, “I’m meeting a big client with my boss.”
Bianca suddenly understood. It made sense to dress well when meeting an important client.
“Mr. Evans, what exactly do you do?” Bianca’s curiosity was suddenly piqued.
Living under the same roof as Dave, Bianca realized she knew very little about him. It struck her that he hardly ever talked about himself.
“Just handling some tasks for my boss,” Dave answered vaguely, turning his face away as he washed his hands.
“Are you also a male escort in this club?” Bianca suddenly blurted.
Dave froze, surprised by Bianca’s question. Slowly, he turned to look at her, disbelief written all over his face.
“You have quite the imagination, I must say,” he replied, his tone tinged with amusement.
Bianca chuckled awkwardly, trying to lighten the mood. Even though her guess was off, she couldn’t shake the thought that if Dave were a male escort, he’d be quite popular!
After Dave washed his hands, he walked Bianca back to her private room.
As they walked, they passed another private room where a couple emerged. The woman seemed intoxicated, while the man had his arm around her and was touching her inappropriately.
“Stop it! Don’t touch me!” The woman protested weakly, but she was too intoxicated to resist.
“Come on, sweetheart. I’ll make you very happy,” the man said with a lewd grin, even pinching her butt.
Bianca halted abruptly, her eyes fixed on the couple in shock.
“Do you recognize them?” Dave asked, puzzled.
“The woman is my supervisor!” Bianca exclaimed, utterly surprised to see Jessica in such a state. Realization dawned on her, and her expression turned grave. “I think she’s in trouble.”
Bianca reacted instinctively, rushing towards the pair and positioning herself in front of Jessica protectively.
“Who the heck are you?” the man barked furiously, advancing towards them with a boozy stench emanating from him.
Undaunted, Bianca stood her ground, her voice steady as she retorted, “Let her go! It’s clear she doesn’t want to be with you.”
“It’s none of your business!” the man snapped, his eyes narrowing at Bianca. Seeing her beauty, he smirked and made a lewd advance, trying to grab her butt.
However, before he could lay a hand on her, someone suddenly seized his outstretched arm and forcefully pulled him away.
In the blink of an eye, a punch landed on his chubby face. Caught off guard, he tumbled to the ground, clutching his throbbing, swollen cheek.
Stunned and seething with anger, he roared, “Who the hell do you think you are, hitting me like that? Do you have any idea who I am?!”
He looked up and saw a man towering over him, his expression cold and hostile.
“Mr. Evans!” Bianca hurried to grab Dave’s arm in an effort to calm him down. It was the first time that she had seen this side of him.
Ignoring her, Dave sneered at the fat man, his voice dripping with disdain. “I don’t give a damn who you are.”
The man roared angrily, “I’m Sammy Glyn! I fucking own Joy Media, and I’m a VIP guest of this club! Somebody, call the manager! This guy has the fucking audacity to hit me!”
When a waiter nearby heard that the boss of Joy Media was in trouble, he turned pale with fright. Sammy Glyn was a regular at the club, and they couldn’t afford to upset him, so he quickly ran off to get the manager.
Sammy staggered to his feet and pointed an angry finger at Dave, shouting, “Don’t you dare try to escape! This isn’t over! Get on your knees and apologize to me like a dog, or else I’ll make sure you spend the rest of your life behind bars!”
Soon, a man in a suit hurried over with Justin.
Justin had been in a private room with Dave when Dave left and didn’t return for quite some time. Concerned, Justin decided to step out and search for him. To his surprise, he bumped into the club manager, who informed him about a fight that had erupted. Intrigued, Justin followed the manager to investigate the situation, never imagining that he would come across Dave and Bianca together.
“Who dares to fight in my club?” The manager looked around aggressively.
“It’s him! He hit me!” Sammy, the boss of Joy Media, pointed at Dave and complained.
Dave had always been mysterious and low-key. He seldom showed up in public, so not many people knew about him. Aside from his company’s senior executives, few people knew his identity, including the manager of the club.
The manager’s expression looked grim. Just as he was about to step forward and berate Dave, Justin suddenly stopped him.
“I’ll take care of this,” Justin whispered in a low voice.
Hearing this, the manager backed off.
However, unbeknownst to him, Dave was the CEO of the Phoenix Alliance Group, and this club was just a small part of his vast business empire. In other words, Dave was the real boss here.
Justin watched Dave closely.
Even though Dave had been drinking, Justin knew that wasn’t enough to make him lose control. So, what had happened to provoke him?
Justin knew it wasn’t the right time to question Dave, so he approached Sammy with a diplomatic smile.
“Do you have any evidence to prove that this gentleman hit you? Are there any witnesses who can back up your claim?” he asked.
Sammy’s smug expression vanished. “What’s that supposed to mean? Are you saying I’m lying?! There are surveillance cameras everywhere! Just check the footage!”
Justin smiled. “I’m afraid all the surveillance cameras here are broken. Did anyone see the fight happen?” he asked the manager and the waiters behind him.
The manager and the waiters shook their heads, indicating they hadn’t witnessed the fight.
Justin waved them away, signaling for them to leave.
With the crowd dispersing, Justin turned his attention back to Sammy. “Since no one saw it happen, it seems like a misunderstanding. Let’s just drop it.”
But Sammy wasn’t convinced. “Who are you to tell me what to do? Why should I listen to you?” he demanded, wearing a disdainful look.
Justin chuckled quietly. “I’m Justin Wilson, the general manager of Phoenix Entertainment.”
