“If you want to trade, then fine, I’ll give you a chance. How do you want to trade with us?” Hendrix’s tone was calm and composed.
Quentin sat there confidently, his eyes sharp as knives, as he slowly spoke, “I want you to hand over someone from the Bradshaw Group.”
Upon hearing this, Hendrix’s face darkened slightly, showing a hint of surprise.
“You want us to hand over someone from the Bradshaw Group? Although we are not invincible, the people below us are all working for the Bradshaw Group. If we sell them off easily, what will others think of us?”
“What does that have to do with me?” Quentin’s tone was domineering. “I only have one question for you: give or not?”
A fierce aura surged like a tidal wave, and even Hendrix, who had been in the business world for decades, struggled to suppress his astonishment!
After a few seconds of contemplation, he said, “Who do you want?”
“The head of the marketing department, Jaeden,” Quentin lit a cigarette and exhaled a puff of smoke before slowly saying, “This guy spread rumors about my wife. Do you think I can let him get away with it?”
Upon hearing this, Hendrix’s expression also grew serious. After a moment, he sighed and finally gave in. “What do you want in exchange?”
Quentin replied calmly, “I’ll give the Bradshaw family some more time.”
Martha raised her eyebrows in anger and said, “Does the Bradshaw family need your mercy?”
Quentin’s cold gaze fell on Martha as he said in a chilling voice, “If that’s the case, why don’t you give it a try? Do you believe that I can make the Bradshaw family history overnight?”
“You-” Martha clenched her teeth in anger, wanting to retort Quentin. However, when she saw Quentin’s confident and domineering words, she couldn’t find any words to argue back.
“Martha-” It was only when Hendrix reprimanded her that Martha reluctantly backed down, her eyes filled with indescribable resentment as she stared at Quentin.
Quentin ignored her and casually asked, “Have you considered it?”
Hendrix forced a bitter smile and said, “Do I have any other choice? Even if I try to stop you today, can I really stop you?”
“In that case, if I stop you, would it make any difference? Besides, if Jaeden does something wrong, it’s his own problem. You two can handle it yourselves.”
He waved his hand and called his secretary over, saying, “Bring Jaeden to me.”
“Yes!”
The secretary nodded and glanced at the extraordinary and domineering young man before leaving. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity… but he couldn’t remember who he was!
Meanwhile, inside the office, Jaeden was reprimanding a female subordinate. The girl lowered her head and dared not speak, her eyes red from crying.
“If you make such a small mistake again next time, don’t bother coming to work!” Jaeden scolded with a stern face.
“Mr. Garza… I… I won’t dare anymore!” The girl was frightened and her face turned pale. If she lost this job, how could she survive?
She was just a recent college graduate with a low salary. After a month, she barely had any savings left. If she got fired, she wouldn’t even be able to pay next month’s rent!
Seeing the girl’s appearance, Jaeden nodded in satisfaction and said, “Alright! I’m not scolding you for no reason. I’m doing it for your own good, you know?”
“Now that you know you made a mistake, I won’t hold it against you this time. But next time, you might not be so lucky.”
Jaeden glanced meaningfully at the young and beautiful girl in front of him and said slowly, “As for the issue of your work attitude, it would be best if you find an opportunity to discuss it with me privately.”
“Huh?” Upon hearing this, the girl was slightly stunned. She wasn’t a child anymore; how could she not understand such suggestive remarks?
She lowered her head and tightly gripped her skirt corner, feeling extremely conflicted.
Jaeden smiled and said, “You’re still young with a bright future ahead of you. If someone takes care of you, your path will be much smoother. But if you accidentally offend someone, your life might be ruined. Do you understand?”
He looked serious as he continued, “You can go now and think carefully about your work attitude.”
“Yes…”
The girl bit her lip and turned to leave.
At that moment, a middle-aged man wearing gold-rimmed glasses walked into the office.
“Miss Palmer!!”
Seeing the person who entered, Jaeden’s face immediately lit up with joy. He quickly stood up and greeted respectfully. Miss Palmer was someone highly regarded by Mr. Hendrix!
Someone of his level wouldn’t even be noticed by her. Why would she appear in his office today?
