The next day Alexa called Carol to meet and they met at a cafe, after ordering their coffee Alexa initiated the discussion.
“Carol I heard that you are looking for job”
Carol nodded, sipping her coffee.
Alexa continued, “Why don’t you join Lucas’s company?”
Carol kept the cup down and said, “No, Alexa it’s not a good idea”
Alexa immediately asked, “Why not, as much as I know the pay are very high in my brother’s company”
Carol replied calmly, “Alexa, you know what happened in past after that I cannot bring myself to work with him again”
“I understand, but why don’t you see the brighter side, you can earn a high salary and quit the job in a few years and can start your own business, in that way you will be able to take care of my little buns also” Alexa proposed.
Carol could not deny that offer was really tempting.
Seeing Carol in thoughts Alexa continued, “Moreover just keep a safe distance with Lucas and just do your work, keep it simple employee and employer relationship”
Carol replied, “Let me think about it”
Alexa sighed in relief because she understood that her work was done. They both chatted for some more time and Carol left first.
But before leaving Alexa said, “If you take decision to join Lucas’s company back than you must give me party for your job”
Carol nodded and agreed.
After Carol left Alexa immediately called Lucas and he picked up the call just in one ring and heard Alexa’s chirping voice.
“Lucas your work is done”
Lucas smiled from ear to ear and said, “You will be rewarded for this Alexa”
Alexa laughed and asked, “So what’s my reward?”
Lucas replied, “Whatever you ask for?”
Alexa said, “I want Carol to be my sister-in-law”
Lucas smiled and said, “I promise I will do my best to fulfil your wish”
In the evening when Lucas came to Carol’s home in the name of spending time with his daughters, Carol told him that she is ready to join his company but her only condition is that they should maintain the employee-employer relationship.
Lucas agreed without even thinking.
When Alexa heard about this news she immediately called Carol and said, “You are joining the company from Monday and it is weekend, so now it’s time for you to fulfill your promise”
Carol smiled and said, “Okay let’s invite Mili also and go to pub”
Alexa was super excited, but the problem was her husband, he will never allow Alexa to go to the pub.
She got an idea and dialed James’s number and said the moment the phone was connected, “Honey, how is your work?”
James immediately understood that she wanted something so he directly came to the point and said, “Sweetheart, tell me what do you want?”
Alexa said in a tone that she is a little sad, “Actually I am missing nieces, so if you allow me to go and stay with Carol for one night?”
James didn’t mind her going to Carol’s house but why at night, doesn’t she know, he cannot sleep without her in his arms.
But hearing her pitiful voice, he could not deny her so he tried to negotiate, “Baby, why don’t you go in the daytime?”
Alexa felt irritated, she thought he must be asking this because he cannot torture her at night, nights with James are very tiring.
He would not let her go until she starts begging him, she doesn’t understand from where he brings so much stamina.
She retorted his proposal, “I can go in day time also but you know at night Lucas will also be there, so please honey”
At last, James agreed and said, “Alright you can go but you have to compensate me for this one night”
Alexa was so excited when she got permission she immediately agreed and promised, “I promise I will do anything”
James smiled cunningly and said, “Okay don’t go back on your words”
Alexa said smiling ear to ear, “I promise I won’t”
Poor Alexa was not aware of what all James had in his mind when he got this promise from her, on the other hand, James was thrilled with the ideas he was having in his mind.
Just thinking about it he felt movement between his legs.
As per the plan, they all met at Carol’s house and all three girls left for the pub before Lucas came to her place to spend time with Ava and Mia.
Carol told her mom that they are going to her friend’s place, and seeing her having a normal life after all these happened her mother didn’t even ask which friend’s place she is going to.
Three girls were super excited when they entered the pub, music was high and people were enjoying themselves.
They went to the VIP section and ordered wine, although all three were light drinkers but Mili had never been drunk in years because of the burden she had on her mind.
Many times she drank too much to forget her worries and to sleep for some time, but nothing helped.
They started having their wines and soon Alexa said in full excitement, “Let’s go to the dance floor” and Carol who was already a little tipsy immediately agreed.
Mili suggested that she will join them after some time.
Alexa and Carol walked towards the dance floor and started dancing.
Alexa felt so happy today because after reconciling with James she never went out alone today she felt like she got wings and she wanted to explore the whole sky.
They danced for some time and came back to their place where Mili was sipping her wine slowly.
The moment they sat on their seats, two handsome boys approached them and one of them said to Alexa and another said to Carol, “Can I buy you a drink?”
Alexa and Carol gave each other a meaningful smile and nodded positively.
All four headed to the counter, they ordered four shots.
