Chapter 34 Can Never Forgive You

Katherine suddenly felt shocked, and turned to stare at him, “Are you talking nonsense? Who is your wife?”
“Do you need me to show you the marriage certificate?” Jacob kept indifferent, glancing over the ring on her finger with cold eyes, “I think you want to commit bigamy.”
Katherine took a deep breath, “I was your wife once before, who is dead now. I have no relationship with you now.”
Theo had helped her a lot. Now she actually was dead nominally because she took over someone else’s identity.
“So? Are you going to marry Theo?” Jacob’s eyes were deep, dark and cold, full of danger as if he would strangle her if she dared say yes.
“So what if I marry him? Not to mention him, I am free to marry anyone and it’s none of your business. Besides, I have already agreed to Theo’s proposal. In the near future, I will be Theo’s wife. Is Mr. Murray lacking in women so much as to harass someone else’s wife?”
Katherine just desired to clean up the relationship with Jacob, but somehow, she seemed to be a little angry when she said these words.
“In the near future?” Jacob laughed, “I am afraid you never will.”
“What do you mean?” Katherine was instantly on the alert, “I warn you, Jacob, don’t think about making trouble again!”
The car suddenly stopped.
Before Katherine could react, Jacob suddenly gripped her wrist and then pulled the ring out of her finger.
“Jacob, give it back to me!” Katherine pounced on him to grab it.
But Jacob threw the ring directly outside.
The ring fell into the grass.
Theo’s painful expression came into Katherine’s mind. She unfastened the safety belt immediately, desiring to get out to pick it up.
Jacob locked the door and drove away directly.
Katherine’s eyes turned red and she turned to stare angrily at him, “Jacob, you have gone too far!”
“It’s so ridiculous for my wife to wear a ring given by others.” Jacob said righteously with cold face, not feeling that he had gone too far, “No matter how many you want, I can buy for you. In a word, you can’t accept the one given by Theo.”
His tone was still domineering, just the same as the last time when he asked her to abort their baby.
Katherine thought she had already become numb, but now she was so painful that she dissolved into tears.
She cried silently. Jacob was looking ahead and didn’t hear her voice of retort. As soon as he looked back, he found she was crying, and his fingers tightened slightly.
The Adam’s apple moved, which meant Jacob desired to say something, but finally he bit his words back.
It was no use crying for her.
He had done many regretful things, but he absolutely didn’t regret what he did today.
He couldn’t bear the sight of the proposal long since. After he met her today, he noticed the ring, which was offending his eyes.
Katherine felt better after crying for a while.
She hadn’t cried for a long time. As a woman who had been dead once, she became philosophical towards many things.
However, Jacob’s reappearance and his domineering behaviors made her heart become fragile.
“What on earth do you want to do?” Katherine calmed down and asked coldly, “No matter what happen, I will not go back with you. The biggest mistake I have made in my life is to have fallen in love with you and married you. Now I won’t repeat the mistake. I have my own life. So please let go of me.”
Jacob clamped his lips tightly, feeling deeply painful in his eyes.
She asked him to let go of her, but when would she let go of him?
She had a new start, but his life had been boring for two years. In the past two years, he lived like a vegetable, with nothing to do except working and social intercourse.
Where was his new start?
“Impossible.” Jacob threw the word out from his hoarse throat, with a decisive tone, “I can promise anything to you except this.”
“Go back with me. I will never do harm to you again. Lucia won’t absolutely appear in front of you forever.”
Lucia.
This name made Katherine feel more resentful.
“And then? I will never forget the past. But now I have a new life and I don’t want to think about the past, nor do I want to dispute.”
Katherine turned to look carefully at Jacob, “Jacob, if you really want me to be happy, please stay out of my life forever.”
Katherine hesitated and decided to be more determined.
“Because as long as I see you, I will think of my two babies, as well as you before. No matter how I begged, you insisted on aborting our babies and depriving them of life. And you even didn’t believe they were your baby. You called them bastards.”
“Maybe now you live in the deep self-accusation, but I can never forgive you and I have no qualifications to forgive you for them.”
Jacob’s face turned pale, tightening his hands so hard that he was almost about to break the steering wheel.
