Rachel was thrown to the wall of the room. Her back was painful after knocking on the wall. She screamed and panicked as she heard the door being shut loudly.
A dark shadow moved closer to her. The man had already pressed her against the wall, looking at her condescendingly.
His actions were smooth, which left her no chance to react.
She just felt the dangerous aura around the man. His anger went up rapidly. His cold gaze could shock the entire world. She was anxious and dared not to move as if her vital points were attacked.
In Rachel’s eyes, this man’s body was as stout and strong as a mountain. A shapeless threat made her frightened.
Ewan’s eyes were furious and eager. His sexy Adam’s apple moved up and down and his voice grew unexpectedly raucous and magnetic.
He warned word by word, “I don’t care whether you are here to prostitute or not, but if you dare to be like this in my army, I will throw you into the sea.”
Rachel’s fingers trembled. She grabbed the corner of her clothes. Her face couldn’t help burning hot as she thought of herself being seen by Ewan and the other soldiers like that. She blushed and felt embarrassed, “I am sorry, I… I just heard your voice and forgot to keep my manner. I hope you can give me five minutes. I want to talk to you.”
Ewan ridiculed with a cold smile, “You only give me five minutes as you wear like this? At least fifty.”
Fifty minutes?
Rachel looked confused. She looked at the man’s cold face in surprise, but his gaze was boiling-hot.
“Ewan, do you mean you are willing to talk to me…”
Rachel suddenly felt her lag touched by the man’s rough and powerful palm. She screamed out due to fear and her expression changed instantly.
Her body stiffened slightly and the next second, she pushed the man’s chest as hard as she could.
She touched the man’s broad yet strong muscle behind the white military shirt. She couldn’t move him at all.
But she could feel his big palm touching along her leg rudely and overbearingly.
Suddenly, Rachel slapped on the man’s face forcefully.
The air seemed to melt and the world turned silent, blank and icy-cold.
At that moment, Rachel felt stunned. Even she could not believe that she actually slapped Ewan. Tears tumbled in her eyes and almost streamed out. Her hands were shaking and her heart was bleeding as painful as being stabbed by a sting.
How would she be willing to beat this man?
But why would he insult her like this?
Ewan let go of her and stepped back. He touched where he was slapped. It didn’t seem painful. His mouth curled up into a wicked and creepy smile.
The man looked unconcerned, but fury had already burnt his eyes into redness.
All of a sudden, he grabbed Rachel’s neck. Though it was not harsh, yet it scared Rachel. Her face grew extremely pale and her body felt numb.
His freezing tone made her heart cold. He said, “Playing some nasty games with the man on the boat and now you pretend to be innocent? Don’t you want to seduce me by wearing like this?”
Rachel bit her lips. Her hands were shaking because of anger. The softest part in her heart was like being torn apart. It was so painful that she could not say a word.
Ewan narrowed his distant eyes and said in a low voice, “I only talk with woman in bed. Come to me whenever you are ready.”
With these indifferent words, Ewan left without hesitation.
Rachel clenched her fists so hard that the fingernails went deeper and deeper into her palms. Tears occupied her eyes, slipping down on her fair face.
It was dark and windy outside. The wind was roaring.
Everywhere in this battleship was filled with soldiers who were on duty. A slim shadow walked along the hallway sneakily.
She dodged the soldiers on duty agilely and sneaked into a dark room. She carefully closed the door and walked to the bed with the help of the moonlight outside the window.
She thought nobody noticed it, but in fact the man who slept in bed had already woken up the moment she opened the door. He breathed calmly and pretended to be asleep.
The shadow’s movements were monitored by the man all along.
While he was still guessing her purpose, he heard the slight noise from his clothes. Suddenly, the man heard a familiar noise and sat up abruptly.
But it was too late.
“Don’t move.” Rachel’s clear and smooth voice rang out.
With the hazy moonlight, one could see Rachel holding the pistol and pointing at the man who just sat up.
The man couldn’t help laughing coldly. He underestimated this woman’s purpose. He spoke without panic. His voice was charming and deep, “Do you know who you are pointing at with the pistol?”
Rachel pretended to be calm and said, “I know. I am pointing at the man who was my step-father’s third son, my third elder brother Ewan Hill.”
“And?” The he asked calmly without a sense of nervousness. Instead, Rachel’s hand holding the pistol kept trembling.
“And… The highest commander of the special force in C Country.” This crime alone could put her in jail for a lifetime.
The man snorted contemptuously. He raised his brows to look at the shadow in front. It was really easy for him to take her down, but he was curious about the reason why Rachel came to his room risking her life.
“Lie down and put your hands in the air.” Rachel held the pistol with both hands and ordered.
The corner of the man’s mouth curled up slightly. His dangerous gaze was sharp in the hazy darkness. He lay down obediently and cross his hands over his head.
Rachel dared not to relax for a moment. She slowly climbed onto his bed. She was so nervous that her breath grew heavy. She put the pistol against the man’s belly and lay down next to him.
Ewan frowned and looked at the girl next to him in surprise. It seemed different from what he had imagined.
After lying down, Rachel said slowly, “Ewan, since you like to to talk to women in bed, now I am already lying on your bed. Let’s talk.”
The man said nothing. A masculine and refreshing smell emanated from his body, which kept affecting Rachel’s sense. It was the first time for her to lie on this man’s bed and be so close to his body. She could feel his breath, temperature and his smell.
It was like a dream, so unbelievable. Rachel was so nervous that her entire body trembled slightly. Her heart throbbed harshly. She used almost all her will to calm herself down.
She refreshed her throat and began to speak, “Ewan, my mom is a kind woman. She would not have killed her sister-in-law. Killing your aunt is not beneficial to her at all.”
“Besides, a smart woman like my mom, if she did kill someone, she will definitely deal with the crime scene. How is it possible that she left the weapon with her fingerprints in the crime scene? Both her phone and jacket were left in the scene. It was definitely a framing.”
The man still remained silent.
“Ewan, are you listening?” Rachel raised her head and saw the man’s eyes closed faintly as if he had already fell asleep.
“Ewan?”
The man murmured in raucous voice, “What brand of body wash do you use?”
“Hmm?” Rachel was confused.
“It smells good.”
Rachel grew mad, “What are you thinking exactly? I am talking about my mom.”
“I am thinking that you are going to end up miserable.”
