On the second floor of the laboratory. It was time for Kara to take a bath.
Kara deliberately slowed down and caught up with the woman. When she was taking a shower, Kara knocked on the door next door.
The woman was singing, but there was no word to her song. She was making a sound like flowing water.
Therefore, Kara guessed that the woman must be motioning for her to look for the woman when they were taking a shower.
After a while, the woman knocked on the door to respond to Kara. Kara smiled and ran next door.
“I know Donald. He has been looking for you. Are you Nicole?” Kara said.
The woman raised her head and stared at Kara in surprise. However, her eyes were lifeless, and her expression was dull, like a soulless puppet. When she heard Donald’s name, her expression changed a little.
“Who is Nicole?” she asked in a hoarse voice.
Kara frowned and stared at her face seriously. There was a small mole on her cheek. The woman should be Nicole.
“Then why did you cry and laugh at night?” Kara asked.
Nicole shook her head and said, “I don’t know. It’s just that I was used to doing this.”
Kara looked at her dull eyes and had a guess. She reached out to touch Nicole, but the latter was frightened and retreated.
“Nicole, don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you. I just want to know if you have any way to get out of here?” Kara withdrew her hand.
Nicole shook her head and continued to shower.
Kara was disappointed and bit her lower lip.
Nicole had turned into someone who did not even recognize Kara. Nicole must have taken the medicine that Kara had taken before, and Nicole had blurry consciousness.
But for some reason, Kara didn’t feel that way now, and her mental state was much better than before.
“There are only two roads to see the sun, the elevator, and the medical room.”
Nicole suddenly reminded Kara.
Kara’s eyes lit up as she looked at Nicole in surprise.
The places where they could see the sunlight were the ways out.
“Nicole, thank you. Don’t be afraid. If there is a chance, I will definitely take you away to find Donald.”
When she heard the familiar name Donald, Nicole looked up and stared at Kara blankly.
“Who is Donald?”
“Donald is the man you love,” Kara reminded her in a low voice.
Nicole blinked her eyes in confusion as if she couldn’t understand what “love” meant.
At this time, the bathhouse next door was suddenly pushed open. A weak woman walked out. She had long hair and long nails, but her nails were white. It was an unhealthy color.
When she saw the woman suddenly come out, Kara was so scared that she took a step back.
“I advise you not to throw your life away. You can’t escape.”
The woman’s voice was mixed with some noise, like sandpaper touching each other or the ear-piercing sound of long nails scratching on the wall, making Kara’s hair stand on end.
Kara pursed her lips and took a step back. “What’s the difference between being locked in here with your reason lost and being dead? I might give it a try before I die here.”
When the woman heard Kara’s words, her eyelashes trembled. She agreed with Kara, but she was punished to the point of losing courage when she tried to escape before.
“I’ll help you escape, but promise me that you’ll take me to see the sun. Is that OK?” the woman said.
They were in the basement, and what they saw were incandescent lights every day. And they wanted to see the sunlight.
Even though the woman couldn’t remember anything, she still wanted to live under the sun.
Kara immediately nodded and said, “If you help me out, I will definitely save you.”
But before the woman could say anything, there was a knock on the door.
It was the robot who called for Kara to go out, and if she did not go out, her food would be gone.
Kara was anxious and wanted to ask the woman how to escape, but the woman just stared in the mirror and refused to say anything.
Under Kara’s horrified gaze, the woman looking in the mirror broke her nails. Because the strength was too strong, her fingers bled.
However, she didn’t seem to feel any pain and gave her nails to Kara.
Kara endured the disgust and took her nails, washing them clean before hiding them in her clothes.
Following the robot out of the bathroom, Kara clenched the nails in her hands and suddenly covered her stomach as she squatted down in pain.
The robot looked at her pale face and was worried about her. Its master had ordered it that if she was unwell, it had to take her to the infirmary immediately.
Without hesitation, it carried her to the infirmary.
When they arrived at the infirmary, the doctors asked Kara where she was uncomfortable, but Kara just lay in the quilt, clutching her stomach with a painful expression.
The doctors were a little anxious. One of them was about to check her body, but Kara took the opportunity to check the situation around.
Then she saw a shelf with flammable materials. Kara blinked her eyes. No matter how the doctor moved her, she just didn’t move.
“I haven’t talked to anyone for a few days. If you talk to me, I will listen to you and cooperate with the treatment.”
“Miss Kara, your health is important. Please don’t joke around,” the doctor patiently said.
Kara could only understand half of his language.
But that was enough because she knew that they were compromising, which meant that they did not want her to be hurt.
Kara pressed her hands on her stomach and shook her head. She just did not cooperate with the treatment.
“I feel stuffy. You guys open the window and let me breathe some fresh air,” Kara said.
Pregnant women were troublesome!
The doctors looked at each other helplessly. One of them got up and opened the window.
Kara seized the opportunity. She took out the nails and stabbed them into the eyes of another doctor. Then she quickly jumped up and ran to the shelf. No matter what the liquid was, she smashed it on the doctor.
The doctor let out a cry.
In the blink of an eye, he turned into a ball of fire and became a piece of charcoal.
Kara covered her mouth in horror, not daring to believe that the liquid was so powerful that it could burn people to ashes in seconds.
The other doctor was opening the window. When he heard the cry, he turned around and was frightened by the scene. It was too late to save his partner.
He wanted to go over and grab Kara, but seeing that she was holding another bottle of liquid, he quickly raised his hands.
“Miss Kara, be careful. The medicine will hurt you.”
At this time, the robot heard the noise and pushed open the door. When it saw Kara holding the chemical liquid, it walked toward her quickly.
Kara’s hands trembled in fear. Without much time to think, she casually picked up a bottle of liquid and threw it at the robot. But it didn’t hurt the robot at all.
Seeing that the robot was getting closer and closer, Kara ran to another shelf, picked up a few bottles of chemical agents, and smashed at it.
Although she didn’t know if this method would work, she had to give it a try. Otherwise, it would be even harder for her to escape next time.
Kara threw all the liquid on the whole shelf onto the robot, but she still didn’t stop it. Seeing that it reached out to grab her, Kara grabbed dozens of bottles of liquid on the table and smashed them all on it.
Its arm melted into molten iron, and the hot temperature burned her hand.
Kara then realized that these liquids only worked on the robot when they were mixed.
