Kara frowned and stopped hearing James ask her to find a solution herself.
She rested her arm on the railing and turned her head to look at the man standing downstairs, looking a little embarrassed.
She stared at the crowd below the bridge in confusion. Suddenly, her gaze fell on a man in a police uniform. She raised her eyebrows and ran downstairs.
The men behind her were all wondering what she wanted to do. Kara ran to the police and kept glancing at him. Her expression was exaggerated, and she cried pitifully in the end.
The man had a bad feeling. He swallowed and turned to leave.
Shortly after, he heard a woman shouting behind him.
“I’m going to catch you, the guy in black. Don’t run away unless you are guilty.”
Although James did not know what tricks Kara was playing, he must not be found by the police.
Seeing the man run faster, Kara pursed her pink lips and said to the policeman beside her.
“Sir, that man has been following me the entire time. And now he ran away. He must be feeling guilty. I heard that there was someone who lost his wallet here a few days ago. Maybe they stole it.”
“They? How many people are they?” the policeman asked in surprise.
“Yes, I saw him and a few other people wandering around here a few days ago. Sir, you must catch him. Even if he is not a thief, he must have escaped for a reason!”
The police thought that since the man had been sneaking around, and now that the little girl accused him, there must be something.
He immediately contacted his colleagues on duty and reported the situation of the man.
Kara watched the police officer leave and happily walked up the bridge.
“James, I chased the person who was following me away.”
“I see.”
James laughed in a low voice. Kara could not figure out what he was laughing at, so she also giggled.
“James, what are you laughing at?”
“I’m laughing at your naivety.”
“…”
Kara’s smile froze, and the corners of her mouth twitched. She knew that he couldn’t say anything good.
“Kara, there is another man following you in the direction of three o’clock, get rid of him again.”
Kara blinked in confusion and asked seriously, “James, what is the direction of three o’clock?”
James was used to using professional terms. But Kara didn’t understand them.
“Look at your clock. The 12 o’clock direction is the north direction. The 3’o’clock direction is the east direction. There is a green building on the left, and that is north. Take a look.”
Kara nodded. She took the watch and found the eastern position and then looked around. She saw a man with flaxen hair sitting on a wooden chair who seemed to be on the phone.
With her fingers on the railing, she stared at the man for a while, then she took out a piece of paper and a pen from her school bag.
The man sitting on the wooden chair pretending to be on the phone glanced at the woman standing by the railing on the bridge. He didn’t know why she suddenly stopped. Was she enjoying the scenery?
“Sir, this is for you.”
The man turned his head and saw a few little boys walking up to him. The boy in the lead held a heart folded from paper and handed it to him.
“Why are you giving it to me?”
“Someone wants to confess to you. This is from her!”
The little boys laughed and ran away after throwing the paper heart at him.
Confession?
The man was a little excited. He opened the paper and saw a self-portrait and a sentence.
“I have already discovered you and I have already called the police. If you don’t escape, you will be arrested.”
The man’s face changed and he suddenly looked up. The woman on the bridge waved at him with a smile and then pointed to the police patrolling across the road.
He quickly covered half his face with his clothes and turned to escape.
Kara chuckled. She picked up her phone and bragged about what she had just done.
“James, he escaped. Did you see that?”
“Well, get off the bridge quickly and run into the big shopping mall on the left. I’ll give you three minutes. If you can’t find me, I’ll leave.”
“No, no, you have to wait for me.” Kara hastened her steps.
Kara ran up and inadvertently glanced back, finding another man behind him.
They were chasing after her without hiding anything.
“Don’t be distracted, stupid girl. You still have two minutes.”
Kara bit her lips and desperately ran forward.
Just as she was about to rush into the mall, a hand suddenly reached out and wrapped around her waist, bringing her into the elevator.
Kara had no time to catch her breath. She was so frightened that she wanted to struggle. Yet when she turned around, she saw a familiar handsome face. She hugged him happily.
“James, you freaked me out.”
“You have fear too?”
James knocked on her forehead. Why wasn’t she scared when she played tricks on others?
Kara smiled foolishly and tightened her arms. “With you here, I’m not afraid.”
“James, where are we going?” She blinked in confusion as she watched the elevator rise step by step.
“Are you afraid that I will sell you?”
“I am a lucky star. If you sell me, you will suffer a loss.” Kara retorted angrily.
He held her hand and interlocked his fingers with hers. The elevator opened with a thud and he left with her.
This floor was the clothing area, and Kara followed behind him. He walked into a clothing store, picked a set of clothes, and pushed her into the changing room.
“Two minutes. If you failed to change your clothes, I will leave.”
“…”
Kara frowned. She didn’t want him to leave. So she immediately closed the door and changed her clothes in a minute.
James picked a pair of shoes, a hat, and a school bag for her. He stuffed her old school bag into her new school bag and paid in cash.
Outside the clothing store, Kara looked brand new. She stared at the small bag he was carrying with him.
“James, why are we buying new clothes?”
James glanced sideways at her and took her to the bathroom, the male’s bathroom.
He released her hair and combed it with his five fingers.
Kara obediently lowered her head and noticed that there were two movie tickets on the sink. She was just wondering when James picked up the movie tickets and left with her.
“Wait, James, you left my clothes in the bathroom.”
In the small bag in James’ hand were the clothes she was wearing. But James left the bag in the bathroom.
However, James did not care at all. He hugged her and took her to the cinema.
When they arrived, the movie was about to start and the staff was checking the tickets.
Kara sat in her seat and smiled happily. She turned to look at James, wanting to kiss him on the face.
“James, I never thought you would bring me to watch a movie.”
James pressed his large hand on her little head to stop her from kissing him. He told her to sit properly.
“Haven’t I taken you out for movies before?”
“That’s different. We are now in Country R. This is a foreign country. I am very happy to have you with me.”
The first time he took her to watch a movie, something unpleasant happened. And they didn’t finish the movie.
Staring at James’ beautiful profile, Kara remembered that Jadon said James could not make her happy and snorted in her heart.
Being with James was the happiest time of her life. Jadon was not her, so he would never understand how happy she was!
