Zack was in the study room for three days and Nancy was furious.
She picked up the knife and rushed into the study. “Zack Allen! Are you coming out or not? If you don’t, I’ll slice my neck!”
Zack closed the book in hand, stood up and stretched. He hugged Nancy and said, “I finally finished looking at all the topics of your accountancy exam!”
It was truly tough on him who for the sake of tutoring Nancy, he had to study the topics in detail.
As he said, he took over the knife in Nancy’s hand. He raised the other hand and flicked her forehead.
“Don’t play with the knife. How can you be so dumb? The question is rather straightforward and you failed four times!”
Nancy winced in pain and looked at Zack.
“You hit me! Is this the way you treat the mother of your unborn child?”
Zack frowned, all he did was a gentle flick. What has it got to do with the baby?
Yes, Nancy said proudly as her status has risen to that of an expectant mother. Four years had passed, she’s pregnant but she hasn’t passed her CPA.
Even dad gave up on her but Zack persisted. This was what he promised Mr. Xavier. How can he give up on his words!
“My bad, I’m wrong, Honey. Didn’t you say that Mandy and my brother are coming over for dinner? Let’s quickly prepare dinner.”
Zack rubbed her forehead and tried to change the topic.
Very soon, Hale and Mandy arrived. Nancy immediately took Mandy aside and confided in her.
But two toddlers grabbed onto Mandy’s legs. She couldn’t get over to Nancy.
Mandy yelled, “Hale, get your two sons away from me! Your brother bullied my bestie!”
Yes, Mandy was married to Hale and as expected, it was the twins who sealed their destiny.
After marriage, their status took a complete reversal. Mandy countered all of Hale’s tricks and finally became the queen of their household. Nancy was green with envy.
But she can’t let Zack become a henpecked husband. She still needs to finish an exam. Is there a pregnant woman more pitiful than her? Never!
“Honey, it’s time to eat, come over.” Zack prepared dinner and called on Nancy who was sitting on the sofa.
Nancy was furious as she pondered. “I’m not eating! I don’t want to go for the exam!”
“You really not eating?”
“No, I’m not eating. If you insist on me going for the exam, I will rather starve to death.”
“Okay, then I’ll starve as well. For your sake, I didn’t sleep nor eat for three days. We’ll starve together.”
Zack slumped on the table pretending to faint in exhaustion.
“Don’t be like that. Quickly eat and then go to bed. I’ll come over immediately.”
Hale and Mandy looked at the worried looks of Nancy as she hurried over, and also looked at Zack laughing mischievously.
“Nancy Xavier, you are a long ways from taming your husband…”
