Book:My Sassy Hunk Published:2024-5-1

Nancy slumped back into her chair, what a romantic thing he just did!
Nancy blushed and filled with goosebumps was snapped back to reality by her father’s call, which she promptly answered. She had just messaged her dad the good news that she has been accepted by Sky Creations.
“Honey, did you really get hired by Sky Creations? You’re not lying to me, are you?” Dad asked in disbelief.
Nancy snorted arrogantly, crossed her legs and raised her voice, “Old man, what’s in it for me to lie to you? You’ve already threatened me to slog for you at the supermarket if I don’t get in. Would I not fight for my future?”
Dad’s laughter came over the phone, “Well, good thing you inherited my good genes, how else would you get into such a good company? When do you start work?”
Nancy was amused by dad’s words, “Old man, you’re so full of yourself! I start work this coming Monday.”
Dad smiled, “There are still four days until Monday, just nice. I’ll need you to come back to help out. Kathy’s on leave for her engagement, you can stand in for her.”
Nancy knew that Dad has his motives and gave out a long sigh, “I knew it as soon as you called. Is this the way you treat your precious little girl? Me chopping and slicing meat will ruin my image. What happens if I’m left on the shelf?”
Of course, Dad knows her usual excuses, he has seen through these little tricks. “It doesn’t matter if no one wants to marry you, I’ll arrange for the marriage. Listen, if you don’t come back, I will throw away all the pictures of your idols. Just watch, my girl!”
Dad hung up the phone as soon as he finished talking. Nancy shouted at the phone, “No! Dad, don’t you dare to throw out my hunk’s photos and collection!”
Of course, Dad, who had already hung up the phone didn’t hear her, but a certain cow dung heard it loud and clear.
Zack listened to the interesting father-daughter banter over the headset and he almost couldn’t contain his laughter till he heard Nancy scream, “Damn! I’m still online!” She quickly logged out, trying to save whatever remaining face she had.
Zack, smiling contently, opened the door of the conference room and was startled. Three to five co-workers leaned against the door and listened to what happened inside. Zack maintained his smile while looking slightly stunned. “Why were you eavesdropping?”
“Sir, we came for a meeting and realized that you were inside. We waited outside as we didn’t want to interrupt you. Rest assured, we didn’t hear a thing!”
The co-workers pounded their chest with their fists as they swore to secrecy. Zack’s face twitched uncontrollably in embarrassment.
Nancy stared in disbelief at the game interface, Zack who was just online suddenly went offline! Did he hear the conversation between her and her dad just now?!
Nancy nervously opened the chat window, “Cow dung, when did you log out?”
