Zoey was deathly serious when she said that she decided to teach Keely a lesson.

“Mrs. Hemming, we all worked for you. We need our salary to support our family. Now Mr. Powell has run away. Please help us.”

“Shut up. Aren’t you going to divorce Quentin?”

“Ungrateful bitch. You wanted to take all of Quentin’s money, didn’t you? Keely, how dare you!”
Being humiliated, Keely’s face was red with anger as she clenched her fists.
“Madam Hemming, you’re Quentin’s mother, so I don’t want to quarrel with you. Listen, I will divorce him!”
All these years she obeyed Zoey like a slave. She had had enough of it!
“Let’s see if you can make it. Now I give you two choices, give back Quentin’s money and get out of NK City after divorce, or you’ll be imprisoned for a lifetime!”
“I am not afraid of you. The thing between me and Quentin is none of your concern. It has nothing to do with you!” Keely calmly retorted.
“I can do whatever I want, which is none of your business too.”
Zoey glanced at the housekeeper while the latter nodded and took out a document and handed it to Keely.
Keely glanced at it. It was a divorce agreement. Her fingers trembled as she opened it. When she saw the conditions, her face turned purple with anger.
“I will get a divorce, but I will not sign it. I have been with Quentin for so many years. Why should I get out of NK City with nothing? That’s impossible!”
“You’re not self-aware.” Zoey stared at her coldly, making her feel frightened.
“If I had known that you were such a bitch, I would have let Quentin marry Vivian. I knew that Vivian truly loved him and did not ask anything from him.”
These words touched Keely’s nerve. She was filled with resentment, and when she spoke, her face was a bit twisted.
“Quentin loves me. Zoey, how could you still mention Vivian? Aren’t you afraid that she will turn into a ghost and come to you for revenge?”
“Revenge?” Zoey seemed to have heard a joke.
“It’s you who put her on the operating table. It’s you who paid a group of men to rape her. It’s you who sent her to the mental hospital and made her suffer from depression. It’s you who gave her the drug.
“Keely, if James finds out about the truth, what will he do to you?”
Hearing James’s name, Keely trembled. She was frightened.
James had been investigating the reason behind his mother’s death all these years. If he found out that she was the one who hurt Vivian, he would definitely get back at her.
Compared to Zoey, she was more afraid of James.
