Chapter 12 Criticize Her Too Much

Book:Heard That You Love Me Published:2024-5-1

Shirley just stands up unwillingly with an embarrassed face.
The head teacher writes some words on the blackboard calmly, then asked, “Shirley, do you agree on the viewpoint that students are dating each other when still in school? Is it right?”
Look, what an obvious provoke!
All wait to listen to her reply curiously.
Shirley said bravely, “Sir, I think dating is the nature of animals due to all kinds of environmental factors functioning. We just can’t generalize easily.”
The classroom is filled with silence. She just scrapes through test though her answer is hard to satisfy the head teacher.
“Sit down please. Now open you book and turn to page 25…”
During the whole class, she goes through with panic. After class, she goes out the classroom as she is escaping a crisis.
Karen Vane goes after and pulls her into the stairwell, questioning her in a serious tone, “Shirley, are you really dating with Yates?”
Shirley doesn’t know how to reply this. Last night, Karen has asked her a thousand times. She just played dumb and answered perfunctorily.
“Actually, although Yates may be upset when you’re dating with him, Lily Lee must be mad as fuck. I have no objection to you two being together.”
Karen lifts her two fingers to swear in order to show her sincereness, “I will help you fight with Lily if you want me to.”
“Done?”
Karen nods but Shirley turns around and leaves with a poker face.
People’s comments about Shirley were the loner and ASD.
No matter how amazingly you speak, she might always wear the same look. Not funny and awkward.
Karen would not give up as long as she doesn’t achieve her goal. She follows Shirley, along with asking, “Shirley, I just wanna to help you with kindness. Could you just not be so cold to me?”
Shirley looks cold seemingly, but she is panic inwardly. She is just poor at expressing her feelings.
Walking to the door of the canteen, she seems to feel the countless eyes aiming at her. She pulls the feet which are about to enter the canteen back with great care. And then she turns away in an instant.
She sits at the side of the flower bed, lost in thought.
Every time she hopes that Yates could fall in love with her in her dream, but now she feels so concerned and worried, she even thinks it is unreal.
Because Yates doesn’t show up from yesterday to today, and he even makes his views known.
Is it really just a dream?
But… His expression is so unforgettable at that time, and he says that the kiss is a punishment to her.
Thinking about this, Shirley turns red just like a cooked shrimp.
“How long will you take to escape?”
Suddenly, a deep and attractive voice comes from her back.
Shirley is too stunned and panic to look back.
When is Yates here? Why does he walk so quietly?
His big hands heave her up and he kisses her.
Her brain is empty and doesn’t know where and who she is.
She just can feel his lips on hers. He seems like dewdrops which wets her arid heart. And he relieves the pain in her heart.
“OMG!”
“What did I see?”
“What the hell?”
“It can not be true.”
They are surrounded by dozens of students who are so shocked as if they saw a ghost.
They take their phones, belatedly, to take photos to memorize the incredible moment.
“Yates is mine!”
“Shirley Mok, what the hell are you?”
Some girls cry miserably so that Shirley suddenly realizes something and tries to push him away.
