Madelyn walked to Kara and patted her face.
“Kara, wake up. It was you who hurt my brother. Then you should apologize to Seamus.”
Kara opened her eyes in a daze and looked around in confusion. Her gaze fixed on Madelyn’s face with shock.
Kara had thought that what had happened was a nightmare. But now, she saw Madelyn and realized what had happened was real.
It was happening!
Kara struggled to bite Madelyn, but Madelyn held her neck, making it hard for Kara to breathe. Kara’s face turned red, and she felt suffocated.
“You bitch! Don’t move! Otherwise, I don’t know what will happen to you!” Madelyn warned.
Madelyn did not want to kill her yet. Thus, she pinched her jaw and patted her cheek with contempt.
“Madelyn, how did I offend you?”
Kara didn’t know why Madelyn kidnapped her.
“Your presence offends me.”
Madelyn sneered and patted Kara’s cheek heavier. It made Kara feel pain.
Madelyn’s people knocked on the door and came in. And he looked anxious and whispered in Madelyn’s ear.
His words surprised Madelyn. Then she asked, “Why is Seamus here?”
“I don’t know either. Your brother sent a message saying he wanted to give you a surprise.”
Madelyn frowned. She felt weird because she knew Seamus was not in a good mood recently. How could he come up with the idea of preparing a surprise for her?
“Where is he now?”
“He said he wanted to see you.” The man replied.
“All right. I want to see my brother, too.”
Madelyn thought that maybe Seamus wanted to come out for a walk. Therefore, she asked her people to invite Seamus over here.
The door opened again. It was Seamus. He sat in a wheelchair, and his eyes were covered.
Madelyn was even more curious. She walked to him and asked,
“Seamus, what’s up?”
“Didn’t you say you wanted to give me a surprise?” Seamus was surprised.
“What do you mean I’ll give you a surprise?”
Madelyn was confused about what Seamus said. And she realized there was something wrong after a while.
Then she went on alert. At the same time, someone attacked her from behind. Madelyn tried to counterattack, but she failed. And someone strangled her neck.
“Who are you?”
Corey smiled, “The person who will kill you!”
Seeing that Seamus had a gun to his head, Madelyn’s people took out their weapons and turned them on Corey.
Corey looked around and pinched Madelyn’s neck, “Let them out. Or I will kill your brother!”
Seamus felt that someone was holding a gun at his head. Thus, he became panicked.
“Madelyn, save me! I don’t want to die!”
Hearing his cry for help, Madelyn clenched her fists in anger and felt hopeless. Next, she asked her people to go out.
“Let go of my brother. I will do whatever you want me to do.”
After Madelyn’s people left, Corey clawed at her neck as hard as possible.
When he heard Madelyn’s words, Corey sneered, “You will be a corpse. I don’t need to negotiate anything with you!”
“Don’t kill her!” Kara interrupted.
When Kara saw Corey push Seamus in, she knew Corey was here to save her. Besides, she knew Corey wanted to use Seamus to distract Madelyn. Then, he could find an opportunity to kill Madelyn successfully.
Thus, she stopped him when she felt that Corey was about to kill Madelyn.
Corey heard Kara’s weak voice and put away his gun. He took off the scarf covering Seamus’s eyes and tied it to Madelyn’s neck tightly.
Madelyn found it hard to breathe. Her face was red, and her eyes glared at Corey hatefully.
“Why do you want to hurt Madelyn?” Seamus was shocked when he saw that Corey wanted to strangle Madelyn to death.
He wanted to save Madelyn, but he couldn’t move an inch with his hurt legs.
“As I’ve told you before, your sister wants to give you a surprise,” Corey answered.
“What…”
Corey’s men came in and sealed Seamus’s mouth with duct tape. And one of them watched over Madelyn.
Corey went to check Kara’s situation. Looking at the fingerprints on her face, he frowned and felt distressed.
He applied medicine to her face.
“It hurts.”
Because of that, Kara bit her lower lip, and her eyes were full of pain.
Corey pursed his lips, and his face was gloomy. He waited for Kara to calm down before continuing to apply medicine to her.
“Thank you, Uncle Corey.”
Kara said to Corey and stared at him with her big eyes.
Corey put away the medicine and turned to look at Madelyn, keeping a straight face.
“Why don’t you let me kill her?”
Kara bit her lip and got up from the ground. Then she walked to Madelyn.
“She hurt James. I want to let her pay for it myself!”
Corey raised his eyebrows with surprise. He did not expect Kara would have this kind of thought.
Kara clenched her trembling hands and stopped in front of Madelyn, looking at her.
“Why do you want to kidnap me?”
Madelyn turned her gaze away in disdain, not wanting to answer Kara’s question.
Kara was not angry and turned to ask Corey for help.
“Uncle Corey, help me slap her.”
There was a moment of silence.
Corey’s men felt surprised about Kara’s words because they knew their boss would not follow others’ words.
And they thought Kara was bold to do so.
Corey walked over to Madelyn and slapped her twice.
The sound of it was loud.
Corey was strong. Besides, he was angry at what Madelyn did to Kara. Thus, Corey slapped Madelyn as hard as he could. Madelyn’s face swelled up soon.
Kara was weak. That was why she asked Corey for help.
“That is what I gave back to you. And you hurt my husband.”
Kara said and picked up a bottle from the table. Then she smashed it on Seamus. Seamus felt pain, and his eyes turned red. Then he glared at Kara with anger.
Madelyn watched Kara picking up a bottle and knew Kara was about to attack her. But she was not afraid and had closed her eyes to get ready to bear it.
However, when she heard Seamus’s sob, she opened her eyes in surprise. Then she saw a cut on Seamus’s forehead, and blood flowed down his forehead.
“You bitch! How…”
“I can do something even more ruthless. Do you want to have a try?” Kara looked down at her and interrupted her.
“I just did what you wanted me to suffer. Do you feel distressed? I will do that to your brother. Let’s enjoy it.”
Kara’s tone was playful. It made her a little evil. Next, she found a lighter and lit up the corner of Seamus’s clothes.
The sparks began to spread. Seamus struggled, but he was tied up and could not break free. He stared at Madelyn pleadingly.
“Help…”
Madelyn looked at that and felt pain. But she decided to keep silent, not beg or speak out of her secret.
Keeping the secret was her bottom line. If she said it, she would be in danger.
“Madelyn, are you going to answer my question or not?” Kara asked Madelyn again.
Corey looked at Kara and felt Kara was similar to James at that moment.
He raised his eyebrows and thought about what James had promised him. For the first time, he began to hesitate.
James was such a proud man. Thus, Corey didn’t expect James would humbly beg him.
It seemed that people would do everything for their beloved when they fell in love.
