Jamya led Kara into the office. Feeling the tense atmosphere in the office, Jamya held her hand to offer some comfort.
Jamya looked at Larry’s face and guessed that Rita had told him the story. Jamya didn’t need much time to figure out how Rita twisted it.
“Mr. Ross, Master Larry,” Jamya said.
Larry looked at Jamya with a sullen expression and pointed at her, and asked her to tell him what she had seen at that time.
Jamya rubbed her nose helplessly and put on a serious face.
“Rita misunderstood Kara for no reason and even pushed her. I asked her to apologize but Rita refused and even wanted to hit me. Kara kicked her to stop her.
“After that, Rita slandered me again, so I had no choice but to ask her to leave the classroom.”
“Nonsense. I didn’t do anything. She hit me.” Rita clutched her belly and howled.
The principal looked calm as he stared at them. Finally, his eyes landed on Kara.
“Kara, is what your Jamya said true?”
Kara made those puppy dog eyes at Ross to get some pity.
“Yes, but there is something wrong with what Jamya said. Rita wasn’t just misunderstanding me. She was slandering me!
“Master Larry, I’m sorry. I don’t have much strength to give her a harder kick. Otherwise, she should have been hospitalized now.”
Jamya chuckled.
Jamya couldn’t hold that back.
Kara looked weak but was not a pushover.
Rita widened her eyes in disbelief and was so angry that she wanted to strangle Kara.
“Kara, you kicked me. How could you say that you didn’t have enough strength to kick me harder? Do you mean you won’t be happy until you kill me?”
The female teacher nearby said in a cold voice, “Oh my, Kara. No matter what happened between you and Rita, you two are classmates. How can you have such thoughts?”
“Rita did it first and she didn’t apologize to me.” Kara looked at the teacher innocently.
“That’s because you did something wrong at such a young age. You should have some self-respect and love yourself. Rita felt sorry for you. She wanted to persuade you, let you realize your mistake, and get you back on track. However, she didn’t expect that you would repay her kindness with ingratitude. It’s you who should apologize.”
The female teacher was Shery. She was wearing glasses and a golden necklace and had messy hair. She matched her light pink coat and black jeans with a white belt with eye-catching, red stilettos.
She had more than three colors on her and no style at all. That was why her look was messy.
Liz once said that Shery was a weirdo.
Shery was thirty-six years old and was going on blind dates every year. There were at least hundreds of blind dates.
However, she set a high bar for her future partner. She always despised her blind dates, but she did not dress up for any of them during the blind date. She just showed up slovenly. When a man pointed that out, she would say that he had no taste.
Shery would go so far as to accuse him of being shallow and failing to appreciate the goodness in her.
She even said that she was looking for a rich guy born with a silver spoon and younger than her.
Shery should look at herself. She was plain-looking, without an attractive figure or taste. Why should any man ignore all these and try so hard to appreciate her so-called goodness in her?
A truly outstanding woman would never say that. Instead, she would improve herself in every aspect.
Moreover, she would never blindly blame her failure on others like Shery!
Kara blinked her big eyes in confusion.
“Ms. Shery, you have to make it clear. I am intimate with my boyfriend. What do you mean by ‘I should have some self-respect and love yourself’?”
Shery glanced at her with contempt and Shery’s face darkened.
“Kara, how old are you? You have a boyfriend at the age of eighteen, and you even do such disgusting things with your boyfriend. Does that show your self-respect and self-love?”
Kara and Jamya didn’t know what to say.
When did an adult falling in love with someone become a symbol of a lack of self-respect and self-love?
Didn’t couples do that kind of thing because they loved each other? It just happened and there was nothing wrong with it.
It was understandable that Shery was conservative and felt that couples could not make out like that.
But she should save that idea for herself. How could she judge others with that?
“Ms. Shery, are you jealous of me? Girls like me all get a good man, so you have been left behind.”
Jamya lowered her head as she heard Kara’s words. Jamya tried hard not to laugh out loud.
‘Gosh, as expected, because of James, Kara has learned how to give people a hard time. Kara and James have been together for a long time and she has a sharp tongue,” James thought.
When Shery heard Kara’s words, her face went livid. She glared at Kara.
“Am I jealous of you? What nonsense are you talking about?”
“Kara, with your attitude, no man will cherish you after he sleeps with you and gets bored. Then he will dump you. At that time, you will cry your heart out!”
Kara gave a mischievous smile.
“Ms. Shery, what you said is rude.
“I heard that many spinsters now fall ill because they don’t have sex and that makes them feel empty and cold. Their skin will become terrible and they go to gynecologists a lot. The most terrible disease for them is a tumor. All kinds of cancer…
“Of course, I know that you are very outstanding. How could you encounter any of those?”
Kara’s tone was very sincere, and she blinked her big clear eyes blinked.
Jamya almost burst out laughing. After glancing at Shery’s face, she took a deep breath and held it in.
Kara had a sharp tongue, good at hurting people’s feelings in a roundabout way.
How could Shery not tell that Kara was referring to her? Shery was so angry that her face turned red. However, she shouldn’t make a scene in front of Larry.
“Kara, don’t change the topic. You kicked me in front of the class and even threatened to kick me out of the School of Arts. Mr. Ross, Master Larry, I want justice!”
Rita returned to the topic.
After hearing Rita’s complaint, Larry drank some coffee, looking indifferent.
“Rita, you are also in the wrong in this matter. Jamya reminded you before and asked you to apologize. You are stubborn and wanted to hit Jamya.
“Jamya is a substitute teacher. You have no respect for her. What justice should I give you?
Larry spoke slowly, making sure that every word was clearly heard, and the last sentence made Rita feel pressure.
Rita avoided his eyes with a guilty look, and she couldn’t take it out on anyone. She turned to look at the male teacher beside her with her teary eyes.
The male teacher had shiny hair and was wearing a pair of black-rimmed glasses and a meticulous suit. He stood upright.
Feeling Rita’s gaze, he cleared his throat and blinked to comfort her. Only then did Rita feel better.
“Master Larry, I believe both the two girls made mistakes. Rita is straightforward and says whatever she wants.”
“Kara should behave properly when with his boyfriend in public. Rita said something rude, but it was also out of good intentions. It was just that the way she expressed it was not so acceptable and upset Kara. So Kara was so mad that she did something irrational.”
The male teacher said so much to help Rita when he glared at Kara.
“Kara, you and Rita are classmates. How can you keep saying that you want to kick her out of school? Also, you have been educated to be civilized since you were a kid, right? How could you use violence? Did you forget what your teachers and parents told you?”
The corners of Kara’s mouth twitched. She was sure that they had different understandings of the word “civilized”.
To her, only those who respected others deserved respect and being treated in a civilized way.
Rita had gone too far, and Kara was so angry that she said that she would kick Rita out.
Before coming to the office, Kara felt a bit guilty and wanted to salvage the situation.
But now it seemed that Rita would leave school because of her own fault.
