When Liz heard Kara say that Taylor would treat them to a meal, she felt that Kara was joking.
When Rita spoke to Taylor, Taylor did not have any expression. It was obvious that he was unwilling to give her the WeChat number.
“Do you and Taylor know each other?” Liz questioned.
“We don’t know each other. We only met once. In fact, I don’t believe it, either.”
Kara was also unsure. The man on the platform was dressed in formal clothes and also had a hairstyle, which was too different from what she knew on the street.
“Are you Taylor?” Kara probed.
“Yes, it’s me,” Taylor said and revealed his white teeth.
When everyone saw Kara and Taylor greeting each other, Taylor changed from his cold and serious demeanor to a smile. They were very surprised but jealous.
“When I saw the name list of your class, I thought it was the same name. I didn’t expect that I would be so lucky to meet you.”
Taylor packed his textbooks and prepared to take Kara to dinner.
“You are too polite. By the way, I am with my roommates. Can they come with me?”
Liz and Hazel immediately moved to Kara’s side, staring at Taylor like two hungry puppies.
Taylor couldn’t help but laugh, “Of course. It’s rare to meet you. I’ll also calculate the salary you owe me.”
The corners of Kara’s mouth twitched.
At that time, when she was setting up a stall on the street, she said that the two of them would draw together and she would pay him for the labor.
But at that time, she was in a hurry for money, so he gave her all the money, which meant she still owed him a salary.
Taylor had just sent her a WeChat message saying that he was inviting her to dinner.
The final result was that, although it was his treat, it was actually Kara paying.
Everyone watched Taylor and Kara leave together, all of them staring at Rita meaningfully.
Just now, Rita had said in a lot of good words to get Taylor’s WeChat. However, Taylor refused her. Now, her roommate, Kara, easily was invited by Taylor for a meal.
Rita was so embarrassed.
Rita coldly glanced at Kara, feeling depressed. She secretly cursed Kara.
Since Kara knew about Taylor’s WeChat, why didn’t Kara tell her?
Kara was clearly to embarrass her!
The four of them came to a small restaurant outside the school. The price here was higher than that of in the school canteen, so the food here was naturally better.
The main purpose of Taylor treating them to a meal was to let them provide him with the feeling of having class, and catching up was secondary.
It could be seen that Taylor had made ample preparations for this course, but he was too nervous and spoke a little faster when he was nervous. Everyone could not follow him.
Taylor took notes to remember their opinions, and he would improve in the next lesson.
“Taylor, why do you teach us?”
Taylor was also helpless, “This class was originally given to Jeffery by another teacher, but Jeffery has to go abroad to study in two months. It just so happens that I’m a graduate student this year. Jeffery said that if I teach you guys well, he would recommend me to Master Larry’s studio for an internship.”
“Oh my dear, working in Master Larry’s studio is my purpose of studying in college. I am so envious.” Liz looked at him with admiration.
“Yes, Jeffery’s opportunity to go abroad was fought for by Master Larry. I am also looking forward to getting Master Larry’s recognition,” Taylor said in a serious tone.
The four of them were all in the same major, and there were many topics to talk about.
Taylor chatted happily with them, so he added them on WeChat, hoping that there would be more backups in the future.
“Look, isn’t that our school’s top student, Jamya? Wow, she looks so beautiful when she dresses up,” Liz said all of a sudden.
Kara turned around and saw Jamya and Ayden. The two of them were talking and smiled happily.
“I heard that Jamya also went to Master Larry’s studio. Her painting is worth 160 thousand dollars!”
Liz stared at Jamya as if she was staring at cash.
Kara was also envious when he heard that Jamya’s painting could be sold for 160 thousand dollars. “Jamya is excellent.”
Taylor also agreed, “Yes, Jamya’s performance is excellent. She is very diligent. She does three part-time jobs by herself and goes to the library every day. She is often the first to enter the library and the last to leave.”
“Therefore, we must learn from her. Let’s go to the library as soon as possible.” Liz concluded.
Everyone was speechless.
The courses for freshmen were all entry-level knowledge. As long as they read carefully, there would not be so difficult.
The only challenge was English. Because of the school rules, one could not get a diploma if they did not pass the English exam. Kara was also very nervous.
In class, she did not dare to be distracted, staring at the textbook and making notes, thinking about whether there was anything she did not understand to ask James.
James was good at American English, and his pronunciation was very good. He felt more professional than the teacher when reading the text.
She heard a girl’s cry of surprise. She did not care. When someone knocked on her table, she realized that someone had walked toward her.
“Kara, with your grades, there’s no need to be so serious, right?”
Hearing the familiar voice, Kara was a bit surprised.
“Why are you here?”
“Because you are here.” Eli raised an eyebrow at her.
Kara rolled her eyes.
“Eli, hello.” Liz, who was sitting next to Kara, shouted excitedly.
“Hello, you are Kara’s roommate, right? Hello, I am Eli, Kara’s childhood sweetheart.”
“Hello, I’m Liz. This is my another roommate, Hazel. You look so handsome when you smile.” Liz praised with a smile.
“Very handsome,” Hazel could not help but say.
Kara ground her teeth. “Eli, control yourself. We are having class.”
“I do. I didn’t kiss you or hug you, and I didn’t confess to you loudly,” Eli said seriously.
“What! Eli likes Kara!”
Liz exclaimed, so loud that the entire classroom could hear her. Everyone turned to look at her.
Kara really wanted to hit Liz.
When the class finally ended, many female students around stared at Eli, took out their phones, and stared at him, not leaving for a long time.
Kara covered her face and only then did she remember that James was also admitted to University A and his major was the best.
“Eli, you know that James and I have gotten a marriage certificate, but you still make trouble,” Kara warned in a low voice.
“They are just joking. Besides, I saved you before. I am your life preserver.”
Kara lost her temper.
If it wasn’t for Eli saving her last time, she would definitely have lost her life.
“I heard that you brought breakfast for your roommates?” Kara had a bad premonition.
“Then bring me some in the future. I’m used to drinking milk in the morning and bread can’t be too hard.”
Eli smiled and winked at her, his face full of anticipation.
Kara gritted her teeth, wanting to crush his smile.
“Eli, we are still friends, right?”
Seeing that Eli was about to leave, Kara asked in a low voice.
Eli stopped. His handsome smile instantly cracked. He was unwilling to give up.
However, his unwillingness would make Kara frustrated. He was reluctant to make her sad.
