Hearing Zoey call him, Kara turned to look at James with a bright smile. Only then did she walk to the seat next to Zoey and sit down.

She looked at Madelyn and smiled. She didn’t call the servant but comforted Kara that a big meal was prepared today and it would take some time.
Kara was depressed because Zoey was deliberately giving Madelyn time to get her into trouble.
“Grandma, it’s getting late. Kara is hungry. If lunch is not served, I’ll take Kara back to eat.”
James couldn’t let Zoey bully Kara, so he interrupted her when she was about to speak.
Zoey frowned.
“Don’t worry, I’ll ask the butler,”
The butler came over and got Zoey’s instructions, asking the servants to hurry up and serve the dishes.
Kara helped Zoey up. When she sat at the dining table, she wanted to sit beside James but was stopped by Zoey.
“Kara, just sit beside me and chat with me.”
Kara was unwilling.
She turned around and saw Madelyn sitting beside James, grinding her teeth.
“Grandma, let Kara sit beside me. She is small and cannot get the food she wants.”
Everyone knew that he was defending Kara. Zoey was a little unhappy.

James sat on the left side of Emily, and on the right sat Madelyn. No matter what, Emily was still an elder. She couldn’t ask Emily to get up, so she just looked at Madelyn.
Madelyn seemed to understand everything and looked at Kara with a smile.
“Sweetie, sit next to me. I’ll help you with the dishes.”
Quentin frowned. He felt that it was inappropriate for Madelyn to do this. He wanted to remind her but was stopped by Keely.
“James, you can’t protect this woman for the rest of your life. If she can’t even deal with Madelyn, she might as well let you go as soon as possible!”
Quentin said nothing after hearing what Keely said.
