Chapter 360 A Gloomy Man

Book:Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife Published:2024-5-29

Tomorrow was the traditional holiday, but Kara never thought about paying respects to James’ parents. Kara felt a little guilty.
“It’s still early. Let’s buy a bunch of flowers. We’ll visit your mother first and then visit my parents, okay?”
James raised his eyebrows and kissed her on the forehead. Then he told Mason where they would go.
The cemeteries where Vivian and Kara’s parents were buried were not in the same area. Vivian’s grave was closer.
James got out of the car and went to the flower shop. Kara followed behind like a little tail.
He chose a bunch of yellow chrysanthemums. But Kara suddenly asked.
“James, do you know what kind of flower your mother liked?”
James stared at the yellow chrysanthemum in his hand and turned to look at the bright red roses on the flower rack.
“Give me another bouquet of roses.”
“And two pink roses,” Kara added.
“Why two?” James was puzzled.
“One for mother and one for me because your mother and I are both your only,” Kara said while acting cute.
“Didn’t you say you wanted to support me financially?” James smiled and pinched Kara’s cheek. “Then you can pay for these flowers.”
Kara didn’t know what to say.
She pursed her lips.
She did not refuse but took out the wallet for payment.
When they got in the car, James gave Kara a pink rose. Kara pouted and looked at him coldly, not picking it up.
“James, you gave me the flower I paid?”
James was so cheeky that he was calm and composed as if he didn’t understand what embarrassment was.
“Anyway, the flowers will be in your hands. You pay for your own flowers. There is nothing wrong with this logic. Mason, don’t you think so?”
Mason didn’t say anything.
Mason thought his heart, “Mr. James, if you speak like this and not beaten to death by your woman, it is because your woman has a good temper.”
Kara frowned and thought deeply after listening to James’ words.
It seemed to be the truth. But what was strange about it?
“James, you’re fooling me around.”
“Really?” James asked seriously.
“Yes, you are lying to me.”
Kara said righteously, poking James’ cheek with her little hand. James had been convicted and could not escape.
James did not refute. He held Kara’s little hand and nodded in agreement.
“If I didn’t know how to fool you around, how could I marry you? You only just realized it now, little fool. How slow is your reaction? You are really lucky to live till today.”
Kara tilted her head and stared at James adorably.
She was really angry!
But she couldn’t beat his logic.
When they arrived at the cemetery, they got out of the car.
They walked to Vivian’s tombstone, only to find there was a bunch of beautiful red roses.
James narrowed his eyes and stared at the red roses.
He walked to the tombstone and put down the yellow chrysanthemum and red roses they just bought. He picked up the bouquet of roses and checked which flower shop the roses were from.
Kara held two pink roses and slowly squatted down. She carefully put one in front of the tombstone.
“Mom, I don’t know if you like pink roses.”
It had been nineteen years since James’ mother passed away. James loved his mother so much that he still missed her.
That was why Kara would say that James’ mother took a great place in his heart.
“Mom, don’t worry. Everything is fine with James. Although I am not clever, I will learn hard how to take care of him,” Kara said in a low voice.
James was still looking around for traces of other people. His mother was alone in NK City after the Abbots moved away.
Who would come to visit Vivian with flowers on her death anniversary?
Suddenly, James found a small piece of clothing behind the pine tree not far away. Coldness flashed in his eyes and he immediately walked over.
The man realized being discovered and immediately turned to run away.
“Stop!”
James chased after that figure.
Kara muttered a lot in front of the tombstone.
When she turned around again, James was nowhere to be seen. Kara stood up in confusion.
“James?”
The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the tombstone and Vivian’s photo with a gentle smile.
Kara turned around, stared at the photo on the tombstone, bowed deeply, and then went to find James.
“James, where are you?”
Only her voice echoed in the desolate cemetery. Kara swallowed in fear.
“James!”
She ran for a while and still failed to find him. She twisted her hands in panic.
“Little girl, why are you crying?”
Suddenly, a man’s voice came from behind. Kara was startled.
Kara turned around and saw a tall man wearing a black hat. His eyes were covered in black glasses. His thin lips were slightly curved with a hint of evil.
He was wearing a set of black casual clothes and a pair of black leather shoes.
The black dressing from top to bottom carried a gloomy aura.
Kara blinked and took two steps back in fear.
“Excuse me, did you see my husband?”
“Your husband?”
The man’s tone was a bit cold.
“Yes, my husband.”
Kara looked around anxiously.
“You are so young. How can you have a husband?” The man continued questioning her.
Kara frowned. What did her marriage have to do with a stranger?
“Sir, if you don’t see my husband, I will leave.”
Kara was so scared that she wanted to run away. Seeing that, the man curled his lips into a devilish smile.
“Little girl, I haven’t answered your question. How do you know that I haven’t seen your husband?”
Kara paused, feeling that the man was deliberately finding fault with her.
“Then may I ask where he went?”
“Well, let me think. I just saw a man in a black suit.” The man was deep in thought. He pointed to the east, then shook his head and pointed to the west.
Kara pursed her lips and became more confused. She tilted her head and looked at him in a daze.
“Sir, don’t tell me you also have a bad sense of direction. Forget it. I’ll wait for him in the car.”
“Wait!”
Suddenly, the man stopped her. Kara was so scared that she froze.
“What is it?”
Her soft voice trembled slightly. Kara clenched her fists nervously, afraid that this man would plot against her.
“Little girl, your phone dropped.”
Kara was startled.
Kara touched her pocket and did not find her phone. She raised her head and saw the man holding her phone in his hand.
“Thank you.”
When she tried to get her phone, Kara felt the man’s hand intentionally stop a second on her wrist. His cold fingers made Kara tremble in fear and dropped her phone.
She hurriedly picked up her phone and turned to run.
“Kara!”
Suddenly, she heard someone call out her name from behind. Kara turned around abruptly.
When she saw James standing behind the man in black, she swallowed her saliva and ran towards James without hesitation.
Kara felt the aloof aura on the man’s body when she passed by him. Kara could not help but quicken her footsteps.
Kara rushed into James’s arms and hugged him tightly, blaming him in a cute voice.
“James, where did you go? I was scared alone here.”
“Sorry.”
James didn’t want to explain too much. He wrapped his arms around Kara’s waist and lifted her up, looking at her in the eye.
“Kara, I’m here. Don’t be afraid.”
Kara still had a lingering fear. She held James’ face and kissed his warm lips. Only then did she feel a little warm.
The man standing in front turned around and looked at the natural intimacy between the two.
It was clear that they were intimate in their daily lives. The man’s entire body was possessed by an aloof and gloomy aura.
