Future Girlfriend

She said with a smile on her face, some of her wrinkles due to age were showing. I’m guessing she’s around her early fifties, just like mom. She moves gracefully, in her red dress and high stilettos. She looks like Hannah and Luke since she has blonde hair and green eyes.
I haven’t seen her mother last time at Aunt Maggie’s mansion, so it’s the first time we met each other. She’s the sister of Aunt Maggie right? She’s probably their mother, “Oh, Good afternoon Mrs. Cooper. I am Snow.” I said, trying to introduce myself and be as polite as possible.
“Oh hello Snow. Call me Aunt Anna,” she said, her gentle voice calming me.
Aunt Anna? I smiled shyly at her, “Oh, okay Aunt Anna. Your house is wonderful.” I complimented, attempting a small chat with her.
“Oh thank you, darling.” She said with a welcoming smile.
“You’re welcome,” I said.
“Hmm… You’re more beautiful in person than what Luke says.” She said and my eyes widened. Does Luke tell me to his mother? I feel flattered.
“Oh… um you’re beautiful too Aunt Anna,” I said awkwardly, not knowing what to say to her compliment.
“Oh, hey mom! Hey Snow!” A voice said from the stairs. I glanced at it and saw Luke descending the stairs.
When he was beside me, he smiled nervously, “Oh um… Mom, this is Snow Waterstrings.” He introduced me to her.
Her mother waved him off, “Son, enough of that introduction. We just finished that.”
“Hmmm. So what are you two? Friend? Girlfriend?” She said playfully, and that made my cheeks redden. Gosh, this is so embarrassing. I mean, we are still on the talking stage…right?
I waited for Luke’s reply. “She’s…. my friend, mom.” Said Luke while glancing at me, and I saw him also blushing..
Aunt Anna raised her eyebrows at Luke, wanting to question him more but she decided to just let him off for now. “Okay… if you say so… I’ll go to the kitchen to prepare for dinner.” Winking, she then walked out.
Luke heaved a sigh of relief once she left like he just escaped a scary situation.
He then turned to me, “So Snow… Why are you here?” He asked.
“Didn’t Hannah inform you?” He shook his head in reply, “We are having a sleepover here.” I answered.
He grinned at that, “Really? That’s great. But are you sure it’s not just that?” He raised his eyebrows playfully, smirking. “I thought you missed me?”
“Err.. No, I don’t.” I stuttered, blushing more. Pshh, in times like this I hate my pale cheeks for evidently showing it. I admit, I have a little crush on Luke… but he doesn’t have to know that…
“Hmm… Judging from your face, I guess you really miss me.” He said and laughed. I just laughed too. “Whatever floats your boat, sir.” I teased.
He then cleared his throat, “So Snow, school is coming nearer, I’ve always wanted to ask you this but, what school are you attending?” He asked out of nowhere. That made me stop in wonder.
Ooh, I already planned it out ever since Emma became my friend here, “I’m thinking about transferring to your school.”
“Our school? Oh, that’s a good decision. At least you can see my face every day there?” He joked, and I hit him playfully.
Then he turned serious, “But jokes aside, that’s a great choice. Anastolgia high is a good school since we are now in our seniors..” He said casually.
I nodded. He then escorted me back to Hannah’s room and when we reached it, Hannah was standing by her bedroom doorway and had a teasing look on her face, and beside her was Emma who was looking at me like I needed to explain everything.
“When did you two get so close?” Asked Hannah. She smirked at his brother.
“Snow? Explain.” Emma demanded. “I thought you said no boys?
Uh-oh… Now that I think about it, I’m kind of a hypocrite on that part…
After explaining every detail to the girls, they finally had stopped bugging me. Now, we’re just chilling in Hannah’s bedroom, discussing the incident earlier.
“So that’s why my brother looks so happy these days…” Hannah said after finding out.
“Awwww, what about Eion?” Emma commented teasingly. Though Emma didn’t take the news happily, she accepted it.
“Stop teasing me guys, Luke and I are just friends…” I said, “and why are you bringing up Eion?”.
She just shrugged at me. Hannah heaved a sigh, “I can’t believe you like my brother. It’s weird… talking about his love life….. Well, for you Snow, I am happy.”
“Is it okay for you?” I asked her.
She shrugged. “Why not? At least I know the girl and the reason why he’s happy, so I approve.”
Oh…I was the reason why he was happy? I felt my heart becoming warm at the thought of it.
A knock cuts our discussion off. Emma stood up and opened it.
“Hey, girls-oh hey my Emma!” I heard Dax greeted me from the door.
“Hey. What do you want?” Asked Emma. I looked at her, I thought they were doing good?
“We had a fight,” whispered Emma to me. I nodded understandingly.
“Relax! I already said I’m sorry, it was my fault, Emma.” He sighed, looking sad. “Anyways, I just went here to inform you that dinner will start and Aunt Anna said you’re welcome to eat here Emma and Snow.”
“That’s all?” I asked.
“Yup,” he answered, popping the p.
“Thanks, Dax! We’ll be there!” Said Hannah.
“No problem. See you later girls! Especially you, my Emma. I hope you finally forgive me…” He said playfully. He turned and walked away.
“Well, since you are teasing me with Eion, I will tease you too with Dax,” I said and grinned mischievously.
“Way to go girl!” said Hannah and we high five.
“Oh C’mon!” She protested. I stuck my tongue out at her and ran downstairs. We three chased each other until we reached the dining table and stopped. Aunt Anna, Luke, Dax, Eion, and Leroy stared at us. We just stood awkwardly, caught running around like a child.
“Hey, guys!” Hannah said, easing the silence.
Aunt Anna was the first one to recover her shock and said, “Come and sit girls.” We did as she said. I was seated beside Luke and Aunt Anna. Once we were settled, we prayed first and started to put food on our plates.
“So, Snow, how are you?” Aunt Anna started a conversation.
I gulped down the first water before replying “I’m fine, thank you.”
“Well, that’s good. I should be asking you since your my son’s future girlfriend right?” She smiled. I blushed and glanced at Luke, who was also blushing. Gosh, this is really embarrassing! At this moment, I just wanted to disappear. Can Luke’s mom stop teasing us already? The chattering stopped and they stared at us.
“Future girlfriend?” Leroy asked loudly. He looked at me, eyebrows raised.
“Err… well…” I stammered, not knowing what to say.
“So Snow, tell me about yourself.” Aunt Anna asked again, changing the topic once she noticed my discomfort. Well, now that she asked this…There is really nothing interesting in my life…
“Mom, stop making her nervous…” Luke spoke up.
