ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that my mother is covering that girl, she’s siding with her and I don’t understand why.
But I’ll give her the answer that she wants to here. So I explained everything for her, even Laila was there listening.
“It was so embarrassing mum and she would have gotten worse. She should thank you for saving her today”.
“How sure are you that his saying the truth Aiden?” She asked me. This question made my anger boil.
“Because I know he is and I know his lying. I don’t want to speak on the matter again in other for me not this get more upset mum, so drop it”. I told her firmly not wanting to hear another word about the topic.
“Now we have a dinner party by 8pm, the Alpha that I just told you about was the one who invited us. So start preparing” I told them as I turned to Laila, telling her to make or bring up any suitable gifts that will fit the occasion.
My mum left us after sometime and went to her room.
“You did the right thing Aiden , that girl Camille should be put in place so she does bring shame to your name.
Laila told me some minutes after my mum had left and I agreed, someone who finally understood me but not everything she knew.
Laila hasn’t gotten out much after the kidnapping that occurred to her. It was a bit funny though, I’m sure her Lover will be missing her.
She’s just someone that I can use to get back at Camille and cause her more pain like how she caused me the pain of not having a mate.
It’s not like I’m using Laila, she’s a nice girl, not bad but she’s not a mate and plus she has someone she’s seeing thinking it’s a secret to me.
I don’t know if I look stupid to her but two can play this game.
As hours passed, it was time for us to leave from the party.
There was feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as I and Laila and my mun prepared to leave for the dinner party at Alpha Redwood’s house.
I was looking forward to meeting him again and learning more about his pack.
Laila was busy gathering up the last of our things, making sure they had everything they needed for the evening, including the gifts that we had for the party.
Mum was also getting ready, making sure she looked presentable for the dinner party.
As we all gathered in the front hall, I could feel the energy and anticipation in the air. “Are we all ready to go?” I asked, looking around at them.
“Yes, we’re ready,” Laila replied, as she took my arm.
My mother nodded, a smile on her face as she looked at her I and her daughter-in-law.
“Alright then,” I said, taking a deep breath. “Let’s go and make a good impression on Alpha Redwood and his pack.”
We all stepped out the front door, I lead the way as we walked to the car that was waiting for us. As we drove to Alpha Redwood’s house, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride in my own pack and all we had accomplished.
As we pulled up to Alpha Redwood’s house, I could see that it was just as grand and impressive as I had heard.
I took a deep breath and led my family up the steps to the front door, ready to make our entrance at the dinner party.
CAMILLE’S POV :
I had slept for some hours, when I woke up every hurts, both inside and outside. I stood up and went to the mirror to examine my face, my whole face was bruised with hand marks.
I couldn’t hold myself as the tears dropped again as I sniffed. I noticed there was a small plaster at the side of my cheek where I got a cut, Miss Clara could have been the one that put it.
Speaking of Miss Clara, where is she? I remember she was here with me when I slept off.
I dried my eyes and opened my doors to go down to the kitchen, I was so scared of going down. I did want to see Alpha Aiden, I didn’t even want him to see me.
Almost to the kitchen, I checked if there was any sign of Aiden and there was none. I let out a breathe that I didn’t even know I was holding in
Stepping into the kitchen I met Miss Clara and other helps, most of them gave me a look of pity and concern. I just forced a smile.
“Sweeetie why are you here? You should be up resting” Miss Clara said as she tried to get me to go back to my room but I declined.
“I’m fine, been in there for too long. Just wanted to come out” I told her softly as I sat near the counter.
“Are you feeling okay?” She asked me.
“I don’t know how I’m feeling Miss Clara” I said to her sadly. I don’t know how I should feel about my mate who I love beating me up like a punching bag, yes I love him.
I’m just so speechless , he didn’t even acknowledge my words. Miss Clara rubbed my back to make me relax, then the Luna Laila came into the kitchen. See was about to say something before she looked at me and stopped.
“Oh the slut is here” she said as she took what she came for and was about to leave , when she turned and gave me a disgusted look. I was about to snap and growl at her but I stopped myself.
“Hey don’t listen to her. I don’t even know why the Luna would talk like that” Miss Clara said Angry and disappointed at what the Luna had said.
“It’s okay Miss Clara, don’t mind it” I assured her .
