Jamya heard that men were always in want of rewards. She turned to Ayden with confusion.
“What reward would you like?”
Ayden wanted to ask if he could kiss Jamya.
But Ayden was afraid that his request might be improper, so he asked after coughing a bit, “Why don’t you draw me a portrait after dinner?”
“Sure.”
Jamya was good at drawing. She smiled and nodded.
During their dinner, Ayden and Jamya had a pleasant time. Jamya was not talkative, so Ayden was leading the conversation most of the time.
Jamya listened to Ayden while he was talking. Ayden had been to many places in the world and then recorded the scenery he enjoyed with the camera, beautiful or miserable.
Jamya was fascinated by Ayden’s words. Her dark eyes stared at him unblinkingly.
Although Jamya didn’t want to admit it, she knew in her heart that she admired Ayden very much.
In the past, when Jamya looked at Ayden’s work, she wondered how talented and sharp-minded Ayden was to produce such a magnificent work.
Now that Jamya heard about Ayden’s life experiences, not only did Jamya feel that she was closer to him, but she also felt that it was a great honor to be able to be Ayden’s girlfriend.
“Jamya, don’t stare at me like that.”
Jamya kept staring at Ayden. Gazing at Jamya’s focused dark eyes, Ayden suddenly felt a little distracted and quickly turned his eyes away.
Ayden had traveled to many countries and seen all kinds of beauties, but only the woman in front of him made him think of kissing her several times.
What was worse, such a thought kept popping up, like a crazily growing vine in Ayden’s head. Ayden was haunted by his desire to kiss Jamya.
Ayden was afraid that Jamya might freak out if he kissed her. He didn’t want her to mistake him for a playboy.
“Why?”
Jamya was in a relationship for the first time, so she knew little about what men were thinking about.
“Ayden, if possible, I also want to go to the places you’ve mentioned and to draw what I see with my pencils. I’ll make wonderful pieces,” Jamya said with a bit of excitement.
“It sure is possible.” Ayden nodded with a smile.
The two ate slowly as they chatted. The dinner lasted for an hour.
Jamya wanted to clean up but was stopped by Ayden.
“Sit down and rest for a while. You will be drawing later.”
Jamya blinked and nodded with a smile.
Although Jamya was a strong-willed person, she also knew how to yield occasionally.
Ayden sounded gentle, yet masculinity still could be told from his voice.
Ayden wasn’t quite open to different voices on matters he had decided on.
But it was fine with Jamya since she was not very good at culinary work. Thus, if Ayden and Jamya were together in the future, the two of them could cook together.
Ayden came out of the kitchen and took a close look at the human face Jamya made with apple pieces.
“Is this me?”
“Yes.” Jamya nodded and was a little embarrassed. She wanted to mess up the shape that was displayed, but Ayden pulled her wrist to stop her.
“Wait, Jamya.” Jamya stared at Ayden doubtfully.
“It’s a gift from you. I want to take a photo of it.”
Ayden chuckled and took out his phone to take a few pictures. Then, he found an angle to take a picture of both Jamya and the apple pieces on the table.
Jamya covered her face in embarrassment when she realized that Ayden was taking photos.
“I don’t look good through the lens. Don’t take me in your photos. I look bad.”
Jamya did not have much confidence in her appearance.
When Jamya took photos with Kara this time, she wasn’t worried because the main character was Kara. Jamya only served as a background.
Ayden found the smiling shy girl good-looking through the lens.
Jamya’s lips were very beautiful. They were neither too thick nor too thin. They were small and cute. When Jamya smiled, there were two dimples beside the corner of her mouth. It was somewhat pleasing to the eye.
“It’s not that you don’t look good through the lens. It’s that your old photographers couldn’t find the angle best fit for you.” Ayden corrected her.
“The angle?” Jamya was puzzled.
“Do you usually take selfies?”
Jamya shook her head. She felt that she was not beautiful and did not know how to put on makeup. So, she didn’t like taking photos.
Ayden turned on his phone, walked behind Jamya, and turned on the selfie mode to help Jamya find an angle.
In fact, everyone had their best angle, but they usually ignored it or did not look for it carefully.
Ayden raised his phone and turned it thirty-degree downward. Looking at Jamya’s side profile, Ayden said.
“Jamya, look at yourself from this angle.”
When Ayden turned his head, his cheek touched Jamya’s cheek and his voice was also beside her ear.
Ayden could see Jamya’s cheeks blush, and there was a sense of shyness in her dark eyes.
Jamya looked so beautiful at that moment.
Ayden loved the atmosphere then so much that he could not bear to break it. Thus, he stared at Jamya blankly.
Jamya could feel Ayden’s breath on her face. She was so nervous that her whole body tensed up. Jamya’s eyes started to drift, yet she didn’t dare to look at Ayden.
“Jamya, are you shy?” Ayden asked softly at Jamya’s ear.
“No, I’m not!” Jamya tried to hold herself back.
“No?” Ayden pressed the button, recording the moment when their cheeks were close.
“Jamya, can I kiss you?”
Jamya did not expect Ayden to say such words at that time. Her cheeks turned red.
Jamya was very conservative when it came to romantic relationships. She had only been dating for a week. Kissing was not yet acceptable to Jamya after such a short time.
“Ayden, I … I think it will be too fast.”
“Sorry, I was too impatient.”
Ayden took a deep breath and took a step back. He turned off his phone.
Hearing Ayden’s apology, Jamya secretly frowned. She did not know what it was like for others to be in a relationship. Anyway, kissing Ayden after dating him for only a week was just not Jamya’s pace.
Ayden went to get Jamya paper and pencils, asking her to draw a portrait for him.
After Ayden left, Jamya let out a sigh of relief.
Holding the pencil and paper, thinking of the best angle Ayden had said, Jamya also tried to draw a portrait of Ayden’s best state for him.
Jamya was gazing at Ayden all the time, which made his heart suddenly beat wildly. He coughed lightly, holding the newly bought DSLR.
Just as Jamya lowered her head, drawing, Ayden took a picture of her.
Ayden was admiring the woman through the lens. Jamya was lowering her head slightly. Her forehead looked plump, which was a sign of being blessed.
It should be a great honor to marry such a woman.
“Done.”
Jamya handed Ayden the portrait she drew.
“I’m not good at portraits. But don’t worry. I’ll keep practicing these days. I will definitely be able to draw you a better one next time.”
Jamya had always been very confident in her professional ability, but she suddenly did not dare to boast in front of Ayden.
“In your eyes, am I better than this portrait?” Ayden smiled and raised his eyebrows.
Compared to Kara, Jamya was a much more mature drawer. It was obvious that Jamya had solid basic skills.
The picture was well drawn. Ayden was very satisfied with the drawing.
At that time, the doorbell rang.
Ayden was surprised and turned to open the door. He saw a person standing outside the door.
Without a second thought, Ayden wanted to close the door.
“Ayden, it wasn’t easy for me to find you. Are you going to shut me out?”
Eva blocked the door. She was drunk and could barely stand.
Eva tried to throw herself at Ayden, yet Ayden dodged her.
Eva’s makeup was exquisite. The slender eyeliner and wine-red eyeshade made her eyes look even more beautiful.
Especially when Eva put on an innocent expression deliberately, she looked extremely charming.
Ayden stared at Eva coldly. A month ago, when he saw Eva like this, he wouldn’t bear to shut her out. But things were different. Ayden had found the woman he wanted to protect.
So, Ayden would not let Eva enter his apartment.
“Ayden?”
Jamya saw that Ayden had been standing by the door and walked to his side in confusion.
