The police came before Savion’s boys knew it.
When they wanted to counterattack, the police raised their guns and fired more than ten shots, shocking everyone.
“Put down your weapons and put your hands up. Crouch down!” ordered the police.
A group of men helplessly put down their guns and squatted down with their heads buried in their hands.
James already had a plan, so John and Nolan did not bring guns. However, to guard against them, Nolan brought some anesthetic.
Kara leaned into the man’s arms in a daze and hugged him nervously.
“Don’t be afraid.”
James comforted her in a low voice and held her cold hand.
The scene was quickly controlled, and Nolan would come back to arrange the rest.
Seeing a group of policemen suddenly break in, Nick, who was kneeling on the ground, had cold sweat all over his face. He didn’t want to be caught and sneaked into the small room next to him.
Looking at Kathleen who was tied to the chair, Nick gritted his teeth and did not want to accept his bad luck.
Nick said, “Let me go, or I will kill this woman!”
Everyone turned around and saw Nick holding a knife in his hand, pressing it against the neck of Kathleen.
“Help, help!”
Kathleen woke up in pain and found a cold knife against her neck. She was so scared that her body trembled.
“Mr. James, save me. I don’t want to die.”
Nick said, “I don’t want to kill anyone. I won’t hurt her if you let me go.”
Nick had no way to retreat. He was terrified and only wanted to save his life.
“That woman has nothing to do with us. Hurry up if you want to kill her. I’m gonna kill you!” Nolan sneered.
“N-No, Nolan, I beg you. Please save me. I can’t die as I’m pregnant,” Kathleen begged.
Her legs were weak as she collapsed. But she was forcefully pulled out by Nick.
She had an appointment with her mother at the amusement park today. Her mother had promised to give her a sum of money.
After waiting for a long time, she did not see her mother. Then Nick appeared and tied her up here.
She was terrified when she woke up, seeing such a thrilling scene.
“I’m not the father of your child. Why should I save you?” Nolan looked at her coldly.
“Kara, save me. I am your cousin. You can’t be so cruel to watch me die!” Kathleen looked at Kara.
Kara frowned. She recalled the fact that Sophia had drugged her to get her killed.
Why didn’t Kathleen stop Sophia and save her life considering they were cousins?
But Kara relented seeing her protect her stomach all the time.
“James, maybe you can think of a way to save her life.”
James touched her little head. “She once threatened you with a knife. Don’t you hate her?”
“After all, she is pregnant.”
Kara pursed her lips and held his big hand tightly as if looking for courage.
“She can hurt others ruthlessly, but I can’t watch her get hurt. Even a dog has the right to live.”
“Well, what if I don’t save her?”
He, James, was not a good person.
Kara swallowed and got entangled.
“James, please save her life if you can. Or forget it if you are unwilling.”
James stared at her, the corners of his lips curling up.
He was not a good person, but Kara had a kind heart. She could not bear to see a person, even a stranger get hurt in front of her.
“Save her life,” He ordered Nolan.
Nolan nodded. “Yes!”
“Nick, release her if you are smart. Otherwise, you would die today. You don’t have the opportunity to enjoy even if you get the money!” Nolan said.
“It’s fine if you want me to let her go. I will only release her after I leave this place safely.” Nick stared at him defensively.
“Sure!”
After Nolan spoke, the policemen did not stop Nick. They made a way for him.
When Nick walked out, he saw Nolan staring at himself like a poisonous snake.
Nolan would attack him as long as he relaxed for a second.
His hand holding the knife on Kathleen’s neck trembled slightly. He felt a little relieved only until he walked out of the old factory.
“Give me a car and I’ll let her go!”
Nick swallowed and his spirit tightened.
“Ayden, it’s your turn now. Don’t be weak!” Nolan sneered.
Ayden, who was hiding in the dark, rushed out with a wooden stick. Nick sensed the danger behind him and lowered his head to avoid Ayden’s hit.
The wooden stick hit Kathleen’s head. Kathleen was dazed and stared at Ayden in shock.
Ayden shrugged apologetically for his mistake. He raised the wooden stick and wanted to attack again.
Nick now only wanted to run for his life. He ruthlessly pushed Kathleen. Kathleen fell to the ground, clutching her stomach in pain.
Nick ran about wildly. He was relieved when he found that he was not chased after. He thought he had escaped successfully.
“Where do you want to go? Kidnapping is a capital felony!”
A man in uniform held a gun to his head. Nick was scared to kneel.
No wonder Mr. James’s indifferent handsome face didn’t show any fear. Apart from the police in front, someone was lying in ambush outside.
Kathleen, who was pushed away by Nick, lay on the ground and cried out when she saw her pants blooded.
“My stomach, save me, Kara. Save my child.”
Kara felt sorry and called the number of first aid.
Kathleen was in so much pain that she grabbed Kara’s leg. She kept pleading for life.
Kara had been frightened by Nick. She had just relaxed before she saw Kathleen blooded.
She had never seen so much blood before and fainted directly.
This made James furious. He carried her to the car and let Nolan drive to the hospital.
“What about this woman?” Ayden asked.
Nolan got into the car and sneered, “The number of one’s days is fixed. It has been a kindness for Miss Kara to save her.”
Ayden was hesitant.
He looked at the blood on the ground and felt compassion. He couldn’t let her die here.
They drove to the hospital. On the way, Nolan had contacted Will to get prepared in the hospital.
When James carried Kara to the hospital, Will immediately checked her in the emergency room with a group of experts.
Ayden and the other doctors sent Kathleen to the ward.
After checking, the doctor whispered a few words to the nurse next to him with a serious expression. He quickly pushed Kathleen into the operating room.
The nurse felt embarrassed to do her unenviable task. She noticed that Kathleen was in danger.
“Sir, your wife’s condition is not optimistic. I’m sorry that you may lose the baby. Please sign this sheet, so that the doctor can do surgery.”
“No, this woman is not my wife.” Ayden was stunned for a few seconds and quickly explained.
