Randall had no idea I was returning today, despite what I told Randle last night. He assumed I said that so Randle wouldn’t feel miserable anymore. I just got a cab since I didn’t have any other options. I assumed he simply wanted the firm, but after reading the entire deal, I discovered that even the assets were no longer mine. From the mansion to the vehicle. He didn’t leave anything for me.
The cards I should have hoped for were likewise taken away from me. If I were paper, I’d be the sort who doesn’t even have a sketch or a letter written since I’m nothing. But I’m relieved since I was able to salvage Randall’s company.
I got out of the taxi and handed over the coin Archer had given me. I punched my chest to get rid of the pain. The driver looked at me as if he thought I had something wrong with my head. He also looks frustrated because I gave him the coin. When he left, I leaned against Randall’s gate wall and cried.
I just sobbed until my tears were gone because I didn’t want to go in that I was weak and hadn’t yet removed the weight I was feeling. Seeing at least I helped Randall, I am happy with that. I couldn’t protect his name but at least I knew I helped.
That’s what I thought …
The big gate opened, and a car stopped in front of me. I look like a beggar because of my position. The gray car rolled down the window then I saw Charlotte wearing sunglasses. The tragic heart was replaced by resentment. She laughed in front of me then shook her head.
“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Do you think you still have use for Randall after losing everything?” She closed her window and entered Randall’s gate. What does she mean? Why does something seem to be arising that I don’t know about?
I rapidly scanned articles since my phone was given to me. Except for one unexpected detail, the news is routine. Randall’s name has been removed from all issues, and the only things that remain are his accomplishments, which have been widely publicized for a long time.
When I was at the end of the results, I suddenly stopped scrolling when a name I had just searched for came up. They just published an article, so I’m the only one who can read it, as of now. I confirmed that when “just now” appeared on the side.
The title of the composition is “Charlotte Grayson, admits that Randall Adams’ video was just edited for fun and only saw the video on a porn site but didn’t expect it to spread!” I gave a sour grin.
I believed it would all stop there, but I was mistaken. Archer’s name appears in my notice next. It’s absolute pity that it seemed to be only the beginning of my morning. Is it true that I’m so easily duped? Why didn’t I realize I couldn’t have signed a contract, and it was simply a testimonial because the reason for my signing was not specified there apart from that I would give Archer the company?
“The business partnership of Mètier Group and the Phoenix Corporation has been permanently terminated due to a controversy between the new Chief Officer Executive (CEO) of Phoenix Corporation and his step-sister.” That was the first thing written in the article and the only title that was posted was “Mètier Group and Phoenix Corporation, no longer business partners!”
I even read the ones after that. “After Winter Harris Adams’ husband Randall Adams got involved in some issue, he decided to give the company to his step-brother Archer Williams because she said she needed time to think.”
I didn’t keep reading since I knew Archer had already probably bought the media, I didn’t have everything, and I wasn’t confident if there was anything I could do if I wanted to rush into the building. The Phoenix Corporation may have blocked and blacklisted me.
I went to the side of the house where the guard stood and glanced at the enormous gate. That was the front guard in charge of the gate, but there was a short corridor for walk-in guests, and that’s where I went. I noticed a guard who is counting paper.
He sprang up when he saw me; perhaps he knew me. He quickly unlocked the gate and showed me the way. Just be concerned with the outcome. I believed I had safeguarded Randall’s business, but I was mistaken.
When the guard escorted me to the front door I saw many vehicles. I didn’t ask the guard who was here because I knew Charlotte was here. I don’t know what she’s planning but fortunately, Randall’s name has somehow become clean. The only case is that he can no longer return the shares that have fallen and investors and board of directors who have left. Hopefully, someone helped him get up because I can’t do that to him anymore.
“MOMMY !!! WHAAAAAAA!”
I was walking slowly but when I heard Randle’s voice whimper I ran quickly to look at him. The door made a loud noise as I opened it quickly and loudly and hit the wall.
My eyes immediately searched for where the crying was coming from, and I saw Randle, standing as mommy Amelia held his arm and seemed to be beating him. Charlotte just sat there, chewing gum while the sunglasses were at the top of her head. Mommy Amelia was about to spank my son’s ass again when I ran and snatched my son from her. The ending; she accidentally slapped my face.
My boy sobbed, even more, when he saw me, and mommy Amelia was furious. Charlotte, who was sitting, crossed her legs and hands and then leaned back on the sofa as if she were watching a movie.
She separated her hair, turned her face to a concerned expression, and approached mama Amelia. She massaged the old woman’s back as if she was really worried.
“Mommy, don’t stress too much. That boy was just like that since he inherited a lot from his mother. He can’t get rid of that habit.” She smirked at me because mommy Amelia was gasping and because they were close, the old woman could easily convince by her.
I glared at her aggressively, as if I was going to stab her in the eyes. My teeth ache, and I want to bite her so hard that her skin bleeds if I bite her too hard with my fangs.
“IF MY SON HAS DONE SOMETHING, YOU CAN TELL RANDALL FOR HIM TO PREACH OUR SON! YOU DON’T HAVE TO LAY YOUR HAND AND HURT HIM!” Every word I say is so heavy and intense that they move away from what I say. I will never let them hurt my son.
Maybe because of our noise. I saw Randall running down the stairs, but I hastily carry Randle and took big steps to get out of this hell house!
