I’m not sure when my lawyer came. I slept in jail that night because I was imprisoned. I didn’t even know the time since, in my haste, I hadn’t brought my watch. All I knew was that I’d awoken on the cement. Because I hadn’t eaten yet, I could feel my stomach growling.
“Mrs. Adams, your lawyer will speak with you.” The cops sounded the iron railing, waking up the sleeping ladies as well. The man put the hefty bat on his arm and then unlocked the cell.
I noticed my lawyer sitting at a table right away. I still can’t change my clothes since I haven’t had a hearing yet, so I haven’t worn anything like the orange garments I see them wearing.
The lawyer is a woman. I’m not sure whether Randall directed her to me. She took out some papers when I sat down. I initially looked around, expecting Randall to be with her. I eventually accepted the paper she had put in front of me.
“If you’re looking for Mr. Adams, he’s not here right now because he’s doing something else. Archer Williams used those parts on you to bring you down. Mr. Randall informed me that you’d been gone for a long period, but that time wasn’t enough to prepare everything. I believe someone is already doing all of this, even though you haven’t left the country yet,” she says, explaining that I read the articles. According to one of the given papers, I moved money to my bank accounts using business funds and investors.
“What will I do, Attorney, if Archer continues to press me like this? It may even establish that I took the money because I used my credit cards to purchase a new vehicle model.” I nibbled my nails, scared about what would happen. I’m not sure how long I’ll be imprisoned.
My eyes voluntarily dropped, and the tears that I had been keeping back last night while I thought about Randle spilled. I’m only now not with my son. I didn’t know what to do; I felt as if I were going insane as I thought about all that was happening to me. I’m still worrying Randall; I’m sure he’s struggling right now as a result of the problem Charlotte brought to him.
“We can deduce that you have amnesia. We may be that way as long as you swear you haven’t touched the company since the accident.” She sits professionally. She folds her hand, uses the table for her hand, and only removes the handgrip when she lifts her eyeglass.
“Our only problem will be that your company. About the way you compete with him, that will be his reason to say that you are greedy for a position in your company,” she said calmly and nonchalantly, causing my heart to zigzag. Calms down but also becomes apprehensive.
“But that was left to me by my family! As a result, I must undertake!” I yelled, beat my hands on the table, and raced to my seat. “Why are they biased to see? All they see is my thirst for the position but why don’t they see the reason behind it!”
When I had calmed down, the Attorney told me what I needed to say. Only Archer can get me out of here, but how? My chest clenched as I knew the night would pass without Randle by my side.
The attorney and I both looked at the policeman who suddenly slammed the irons with his hand. “THE VISIT IS OVER! NEXT TIME!” He shouted then the others stood up.
I sadly looked at the attorney then said what I wanted to say. “Please, tell Randall to tell Randle that I’m just doing something. Only then does Randle calm down.” I know I will still be here because of what Archer did.
When I got back to where I was restricted, a woman who was quite large suddenly applauded, chewed gum, and then blew it into her mouth. I was backing away from the end of the railing as she approached me. Her companions laughed as I called all the saints.
She brought her body closer to me, I was surrounded by her other friends. One woman took a long blanket and another helped to cover the railing, so the police could not see us. I already feel bad about what they will do. I wanted to push the woman but I seemed to stiffen from where I stood. I swallowed my saliva one after another.
“HEY! WHAT IS THAT ?!” When the police shouted, at the same time, the woman pulled out the knife, which I don’t know where she got.
Everything she abruptly stabbed me in the side flashed back to me. She did not remove the sharp object’s penetration in my skin, as if it had hit the entire flesh of my body due to the anguish. Before lowering the cover, they waited for the woman to return to her seat. I never imagined that murder in this institution would be so civilized.
My body feels cold. Especially when my body slowly fell to the floor. The dagger on my side was not even removed.
“MEN!” The call of the police who saw me rang out. It was as if the wind was hugging me even though there was no air inside.
When the lock on the door was removed, four men entered to check on the women. The women turned their backs on them while the other two cops lifted me. I never thought it would be so painful to be stabbed. When I got out and got in the ambulance, it was there that my eyelids gradually closed until I closed them on gradually.

I just woke up in a white room while my eyes were still not open completely. When I tried to move my hand, I heard the sound of the hospital bed as if it had hit somewhere. When I looked at it, I saw that my hand was handcuffed there.
I tried to look around to ask for assistance but I only saw Archer leaning against the wall. Even if I wanted to stay away, I couldn’t take a step back away from him. I’m just reassuring myself about what he might do to me.
“Because of you, Winter, many are hurt. Don’t you notice that?” He took what was in the office suit he was wearing. He pulled out a pen and paper that I didn’t know what the contents were.
“I will withdraw the case if you sign it.”
I sat up and immediately felt the deadly hole on my side. I close my eyes tightly before I open them again to look at the paper.
“What is this?”
