Alex and Text

Book:The Forgotten Billionaire Published:2024-5-1

As Alex’s car followed me out of the cab, I promptly exited. I told him to come with me to the company and we’d go somewhere after that, and then I’d ask him a question. He was perplexed at first, but he didn’t ask any questions and did not do anything when I hailed a cab. He didn’t even try to force me into his car.
I went straight to my office’s upper floor. Because it was office glass, I could tell Archer wasn’t in his office instantly. I grabbed the ring from my drawer and stuffed it into my purse so it wouldn’t be misplaced. I ran out, passing some individuals who greeted me, but I was too preoccupied with my numerous questionings to notice them.
Alex noticed me exiting the building and leaned against his car, waiting for me. I didn’t get in his car when he stood up and offered it to me. I walked up to and simply spoke with him.
“Behind this building is a restaurant. Because it is the only restaurant in the area, you can see it right away. I’ll ask you a question if you find me there.” My word is still hasty. I instantly hailed another cab and boarded it. I removed the ring from my purse and began to play with it when I was inside.
I studied the carved phrases carefully, and I was able to deduce the meaning. (Nunc scio quid sit amor) I couldn’t explain how I felt when I first saw it. All I knew was what it represented and its meaning, and I assumed it was mine until I noticed Alex wearing the exact.
I walked into the restaurant and saw that he was already ahead of me. Perhaps I was too preoccupied to see his car passing the cab I was in. As we walked into the restaurant, he followed me. Because there weren’t many people, we were able to get a table right away. We did not get a VIP room. I’ll just ask him about something.
The menu has already been provided to us. To complete as soon as possible, I selected everything I could find. I don’t see why I should stay here any longer. The waiter left when we both had a choice. Then he turned to face me, a smile on his face. His eyes twinkled with delight as if he was overjoyed that I had forced him to eat lunch with me.
“I just wanted to ask you a question, so here I am.” He didn’t respond and kept staring at me as though he expected me to say something. I’m not enraged by him in any way. I just have the impression that I know him, and this is what makes him strange to me.
When I didn’t finish what I was saying, he spoke out, his eyes bright with hope. “What exactly is it? Is there a problem?”
I took out the ring I had previously put back in my purse and set it in front of him. When he saw it, he was not surprised. He had a natural expression on his face. Even though I haven’t said anything, He is filled with grief and despair.
“I’m not going to ask you anything, but I’m curious as to why we both have the same ring design.” That isn’t the issue at hand. I’d like him to tell me that so that I can at least have an answer. That might be the link to getting further answers to my queries.
“Would you like to know?” His anguish was no longer visible in his eyes. It was a pleading, as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t.
When I was ready to answer, my phone suddenly rang, and we both looked at it. I gave him a sidelong glance before shifting my gaze to my phone. Just like Charlotte and Randall’s previous photo communications. I knew it was Charlotte since the photographs were all the same. If she had left me another message, I would not have disregarded it.
“You can’t get Randall.”
When I was about to type, a message suddenly popped up again.
“I’ll quit bothering you both if you agree to see me tomorrow. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Her statement made me giggle since she looks like a movie villain who kept stopping the couple and appears to have terrible intentions. I noticed Alex had already started eating when I looked at him. I didn’t realize the meal we’d ordered had been placed in front of me. I answered Charlotte before I talked to him again. I’d want to see our conflict come to an end as well. Simple things lead it to become overly childlike.
“Okay.”
That’s all I told her as she replied with a heart emoticon along with the time we will meet.
