When the police officer who received the secretary’s case rushed into the office, Delilah was already in a state of insanity.
The arm that was thrust in under her armpit was dragged up, Delilah’s slender wrists were stuck with cold handcuffs, and her whole body was dragged forward by the police.
“I killed him.” Delilah grinned as she looked at Aaron lying in a pool of blood and shouted loudly at Gina in triumph. Her already hoarse voice was accompanied by a creepy laugh: “What I, Delilah, can’t get, you can’t get either.”
But it seems to block everything from the outside world, Gina did not listen to a word, everything around turned into a vague shadow quickly blurred, only the man in front of him remained clear. The wound in the man’s abdomen gushed outward with crimson blood that was extraordinarily blinding, giving the eyes a direct impact with great pain, then spreading all the way down to the internal organs, to the tops of the limbs.
The pale woman could no longer control herself and flung herself at Aaron’s side with a whimper.
Kneeling on both knees on the cold ground, he struggled to get his hands under his armpits and gathered the man carefully into his arms.
His eyes slid over his long, slender lashes and high nose, over his plump lips, the knot of his protruding throat, and finally landed on the wound that had been moistened with blood.
Wrenching away his hand, which had been clenched on the hilt of the knife even when he was unconscious, Gina felt a wave of faintness about to strike him down.
Even though he knew it was futile, he still covered his wound that was gushing blood with a trembling hand. Beans of tears rolled down from Gina’s eyes, cutting across his cheeks and smashing heavily on the man’s suit to halo out dark traces.
The whole person removed the strong look, Gina was now as fragile as a piece of paper, her lips trembled uncontrollably, she pressed her cheek to Aaron’s forehead and let out a loud cry.
When the tip of the knife missed the small of his back, blood gushed out despite everything, and the man fell limply to the ground, a heart-rending feeling was about to kill Gina.
Didn’t you hate him? Didn’t you hate him? Didn’t you curse him better than death.
Why… does my heart hurt so much, the feeling of being about to suffocate, the feeling of being broken all over.
The pain inflicted on her body was unbearable and the tear-stained woman let out a cry, her voice spilling out in heartbreaking despair.
Aaron.
In all these years, I’ve simply never forgotten you.
The one I love; it’s always been you!
The arriving paramedics roughly wrenched the woman’s hands away from holding the man and put Aaron on a stretcher to run towards the ambulance downstairs.
Still grabbing Aaron’s sleeve and refusing to let go, so easy to circle around and come back, why is the moment of life and death.
By letting go, she was truly lost for good.
Stumbling all the way after the medical staff, he even fell a lot halfway, ignoring his skinned knees. Gina’s eyes remained locked on the man who had fallen into a coma, letting the tears blur away her vision.
“Only the patient’s family can come up, Miss, you-” seeing the woman who had followed Aaron into the ambulance, the nurse hesitantly opened her lips to ask.
This turned a deaf ear, and Gina just held the man’s hand tightly, biting his lower lip and trying his best to suppress his voice.
Her otherwise delicate face was squeezed into a ball from overwhelming grief, her brow furrowed in a frown that hurt to look at.
Opening his mouth again and again before he could make a sound. In an almost humble tone of supplication, Gina stirred his lips with difficulty and spat out words that barely formed words, “No go … please … wake up ok… …”
The man’s eyes remained tightly shut, without the slightest movement.
Painfully placing the large palm in her hand to the side of her face, Gina felt the process was extraordinarily heavy. But she couldn’t care less, she just wanted to be with this man, even a little bit of contact was enough to give her some solace.
“You’ve taken everything from me, I have nothing but you now.” In this moment of utter sadness, an almost mocking smile pulled at the corners of her mouth as she choked on a soft whisper and leaned into his ear.
Those formerly generous hands slid helplessly down her cheeks, scrambling to hold them again in her palms, Gina could no longer repress and hold back, simply using up all her heart with all her courage, she hissed out almost commanding words, “Aaron, I forbid you to take you away from me again.”
