I was driving furiously, angrily the only thing that kept on ringing in my head like a bell is Ashley, I wanted to cross the road when the traffic light beeped red, I cared less as that’s not my problem
I manhandled and drove past it, not caring if the police were going to be after me. Luckily they didn’t follow me. I drove into the hospital and parked roughly before rushing out, I was about to rush into the hospital when Rex whom I didn’t notice to have been standing there since pulled me back
“Nick calm down,” He said holding me by the shoulders
I sighed using my right hand to brush my face,
“Rex I can’t calm down, that useless doctor has to hear from me”
“Is he or is it Ashley that’s important at this moment?”
“Ashley” I sighed
“Then let’s go and look for her” He muttered sounding suspicious like he’s hiding something from me
“What happened to Ashley?” I ask eyeing him slowly
“You won’t find out till we get there” He muttered pulling me along
My heart was beating fast, nothing should happen to my Ashley not even a scratch, I will burn down this fucking hospital…….
Rex continued to pull me along the hallway, but as we started nearing the room, my anxiousness increased and my palms turned sweaty. Rex pulled the door open but lo and behold the room is looking clean and empty like it been a long they used it
“Rex, where’s my Kitten?” I ask throwing the pillow and sheet away to see if my Kitten is there, but all I see is an empty and cold bed
I looked under the bed, but as well it’s empty, my head felt heavy I tried holding my emotions but they are becoming too much, with a broken eye I turned towards Rex who looked also pained like me
“Rex, I’m at the point of losing my sanity. What happened to my kitten?” I whispered slowly as I have lost my voice
”You caused this Nick, I told you fucking calm down and not take drastic decisions but no! All you were thinking at the moment is yourself forgetting how your kitten would feel”
“Don’t you fucking yell at me, everything I did was for my kitten do you understand!!”
“Ohhhh…so what will you say about this situation” He gestured at the empty room
“What happened?”
“We were with her that day, but I went out after getting her food, Bianca and Nelly left later, but we came the other day and she’s gone”
I tried to maintain my stance, but my legs failed me, they wobble and made to give in to the ground, but I held onto the bed
Series of scenes was rushing and running in my head,
“Where could she be?”
“What happened to her?”
“Is she okay?”
I couldn’t take it anymore, if that useless doctor was careful enough all this wouldn’t have happened, everything is his damn! Fault and he’s going to pay for it
I angrily stood up and made to storm out of the room when Rex held onto my hand
“Where to?”
“To kill that doctor” I snarled and fling his hand away before storming off
I badge into the doctor’s office flinging the door open
“You bastard!!” I yelled catching him off guard, I throw a heavy punch at him and the weakling fell to the floor
“You deserve to die!” I yelled and pulled him up by the collar, I used my head to nod him so hard on his nose that it started bleeding
“You are so incompetent and useless…. do you know what your careless attitude did to my family!” I slammed his back against the wall and started punching his stomach
I was seeing red as all I wanted at the moment was to kill him,
“Shit!” I hear Rex curse under his breath as he rushed into the office, He pulled me off the doctor immediately, I thought he was going to yell at me but I was surprised when he landed a hot slap on the doctor’s face
“That’s for your carelessness” He thundered at the doctor
“I’m sorry…” The doctor muttered lowly, he’s covered in blood already and right now he’s on the brink of death
“Let’s go, Nick, they are all useless” Rex muttered
“What do I do?” I sighed feeling tired
“We won’t give up, we would look for her till we find her”
“Where?” I ask feeling broken already,
“Let’s check all the possible places she could be”
“Alright ” I muttered
We drove straight to Nelly’s shop and met her serving her customers
We waited for her to finish but when she saw me, she hissed and made to go back but Rex pulled her back
“What’s he doing here?” She asked Rex angrily referring to me
“Nelly.. the doctor’s report was wrong Nicklaus doesn’t have cancer, it was a misinterpretation of result”
“What! How can the doctor be so careless” She ranted in anger and at that moment, I saw the deep love she has for Ashley
“Damn! I messed up” I said to myself
“Nelly you need to help me, where is Ashley” She sighed and lean on her counter,
“I’m as confused as you guys are, my baby girl is missing and I don’t even know where she is if she’s okay or not”
Hearing her say that, my heartbeat starts to thumb faster
“Does this mean she’s in any kind of problem?” I asked looking worn out already
“Nick we are not sure yet, let’s be patient”
“I can’t be patient, I’m losing my mind”
Rex took his phone out and called Bianca explaining the situation, to him, Bianca was shocked she heard I don’t have cancer, she hung up on Rex, and the next minute my phone rang
“What happened?”
“Bianca, do you know where Ashley is…?” I ask in tears
“No baby brother but…”
U didn’t wait for her to finish anymore, I hung up and started walking out
“Nick where are you going,” Rex asks trying to catch up with my pace
“To the club”
