I watch as my best friend breaks down in tears in front of me, my heart shattered into a billion pieces, I watch as she shivers while telling me about Nicklaus’s true identity and what he has been putting her through
Heck! I couldn’t take it anymore, Ashley used to be a strong woman, she was so confident that no man was able to break through her walls, I was worried, so worried that my friend was never going to come out of her shackles and then she decided to her job after her last client
I was happy, so happy that my joy knew no bounds, I wanted her to see more to life apart from that strip club, I thought that maybe when she’s finally out of there she can see that the world is colorful to be too uptight
She came back after her last client, everything suddenly changed, she fell in love, she fell so hard that she became fond of the unknown stranger she had a one-night stand with. My hopes were raised high. I was happy, finally, my friend’s life is going to be adding some colors….
“Nelly, what are you thinking?” She shook my body bringing me back to reality
“I have a confession to make”
“And what is that?” She said eyeing me suspiciously
“I want you to listen carefully, and not to blame me”
“Okay….. I’m all ears” She said eagerly waiting for me to talk.
“I was sitting around here in my shop, a month ago when suddenly a man looking wealthy and filthy rich walked in, he introduced himself as Nicklaus Baldwin. He said he’s your one-night stranger.. trust me, Ashley I never knew he’s like that, I was too happy to even think”
“Were you the one supplying him with information about me?” She asks
“Yeah…I thought that finally, my friend is going to experience some true happiness and love, I never knew he was bad”
“It’s not your fault Nel.. you did what you thought was right for me I appreciate you for that”
“You ain’t mad at me?”
“No I’m not…no wonder you left the airport that day”
“Yeah…. got a message from him so I had to leave”
“Ohhh…..”
“Let me get you something chilled you need to cool off” I use that as an excuse to excuse myself.
I decided to go see Nicklaus but that will be without Ashley’s permission or she’s going to stop me, I don’t want to add to her worries, I’m going to so teach Nicklaus a lesson that he’s not going to forget
I walked into my inner store and packed a good amount of flour in a flask before asking one of my sales assistants to give Ashley some chilled drink. I left through the back door to avoid Ashley’s unending question.
I entered my car and drove off in full speed, I was fuming and boiling in anger, how dare men think they can eat their cake and have it?. How dare he treat my friend like some garbage, he’s so going to get it from me
I was clouded by anger, like a lion ready to devour its prey, I drove inside his company in anger and pack my car, I jump out with the flask in my hand not minding the stares I’m getting from people around, If I go to jail after doing this…. then I won’t be said cause I achieve something huge
I walk into the company, I won’t lie this place is screaming of wealth, too bad it’s owned by a dick head
I walk toward the receptionist
“Where’s the office of the CEO?” I ask, going straight to the point.
“That way mam by the left, but do……”
I didn’t wait to listen to whatever she had to say, I took the steps since the elevator says it is not allowed, the steps are way too many but I’m too angry to notice that.
I finally stood before his office a mischievous smile played n my lips as I look down at the flask
Without warning, I burst through the door
“Who the heck is…..?” He couldn’t complete his statement on seeing it’s me
“What are you doing here?” He asks, looking at my hand
I look to see a guy whom I assumed to be his friend sitting comfortably on his seat watching me
“Birds of same feathers” I glared earning a guilty look from him
“Why are you here?” He asks again deepening his voice, maybe to scare his MoMA not me
I smirk and walk up to him, I pulled him by the collar and whispered
“It’s simple” Catching him unaware I emptied the whole flour on his head and threw the flask down in his office
“That’s for hurting my baby, for judging her harshly, for taunting and embarrassing her but most of all” I brought out a can of oil from my purse and emptied it on him as well
“Most of all this is for messing with Ashley Brooklyn’s heart, trust me, Nicklaus Baldwin, Ashley may be cool but I can be your worst nightmare” I groan in anger pointing at his funny self
“The next time you try to mess with my baby, you’d be waking up six feet down the grave, mark my warning Nicklaus Baldwin…you might have the fame, but I can be a powerful woman as well, Nelly San can be venomous and trust me you won’t like my bite”
I turn to go when I saw his friend, laughing so hard, I frown and stormed toward him only for him to turn silent immediately
I tried to punch him so hard, but for some reason, I couldn’t, looking at his eyes I felt weird and glared at Nicklaus before storming out, banging the door along.
I was walking down the step when I finally realize it’s too much, I must have been clouded with anger not to have noticed, I walk out of the company, feeling tired and exhausted, I walk towards my car and try to open it but it has suddenly become stubborn, I sighed in frustration and gave it a hard kick
“Kpaaaaaa….” The door opened
“Better for you” I entered and made to close the door when someone suddenly hold the door, I turn to see its the guy from Nicklaus’s office
“Can I get your number” He pleaded, I made to looking his tempting eyes but I look away
“Fuck you” I muttered giving him the fuck you
sign and drove away nearly running him over.
