Chapter Twenty-One – Two Silver Wolfs.
Jaden’s POV
I swiped through the pages of the record book.
Many accomplishments of Red Moon were written there, accomplishments they didn’t deserve.
Single-handedly building a great wall around the five packs to symbolize we are one. That was their project when Chris became King.
But the fact was Red Moon raided smaller packs and made their men build it instead. All the names in the documents belonged to Omegas.
Every wolf knew that omegas couldn’t do such work and it should be done by warriors of the pack, as it was royal duty also.
I swiped to another page and found that crops were sent to Blue Fire pack but in reality, only about Sixty-Five percent had gotten to them.
Red Moon had taken the other thirty-five for reasons best known to them. Blue Fire wasn’t aware, this will surely cause chaos when revealed.
Many more records Red Moon falsified, like the price of the golden staff used to bury the Alpha King’s grandfather years ago. All faked.
“Jaden!” I heard my brother call, it snapped me from my thinking, I looked up and smiled at him.
He was with Jonah, who had been rumored to be kidnapped by Your Silver. I had been buckling up to look for him, myself. How did he return?
“Why the shocked expression on your face? Speak your thoughts out?” Jake frowned.
I cleared my throat, and shook my head. “It appears Jonah escaped?”
They both climbed atop the pavement where I was seated. My brother’s jaw dropped on seeing me with the record book.
He frowned “It appears you found the record book in my room?”
I sent it behind me, looking for an excuse. “I didn’t want to waste time, your time, so I took it myself.”
“By entering my room…?” he folded his arms.
“Whatever!” Jonah interrupted him. “What did you discover from the record, Alpha?”
Jake huffed but stayed calm. I showed them the pages of the record book, the lies on it were so obvious even the blind would see it.
“Could it be the Alpha King didn’t know this? Surely he should have had a spy in Red Moon that told him what happens?” Jonah said.
That was highly doubtful. The Alpha King did everything himself, but also easily trusted people.
If one has a seemingly nice aura around him, he lets his guard down.
Like he did with me, and let me distract him while Jake broke into his study room. To him, I really flowed with him.
I scoffed, getting up from the seat.
“We would open his eyes to these lies. And would waste no time. First, we’d spread that you were kidnapped by Your Silver.”
“Then was attacked by Red Moon.” Jonah added.
I paused. “You were?” My fists clenched. They weren’t scared of my wrath to hurt my Delta? “Did they do this on open broad daylight?”
“Yes, Your Silver’s Warrior was even injured. They were sending me back.” Jonah answered, accusatory.
“Your Silver was sending you back?” that part caught my attention. Hadn’t he kidnapped him?
“Technically, it was his Warrior, another silver wolf, that was sending him back.” Jake replied.
“What?” my face contorted. Another silver wolf?
Jonah countered. “No, no.”
“No, what? There’s no other silver wolf?” I asked, almost going crazy with their conflicting answers.
Jake retorted, turning to Jonah. “Yes, there is. I saw her myself.”
“I mean no, it wasn’t a silver wolf that Your Silver sent to send me home, it was a warrior wolf! She was badly injured so the silver wolf sent me instead!” Jonah screamed.
Jake stared into space, taking it all in, before he nodded. I exhaled, finally getting them both. So there’s another silver wolf out there?
And Your Silver was nice enough to send Jonah back? “Did he bring the hunters back as well?”
Jake shook his head. “But the female silver wolf said they will. So let’s be expecting it.”
The silver wolf was a female? That’s interesting. Then there was no way to know if she had been the one causing the chaos or Your Silver.
It would make a lot of sense if it was a female, and would explain why the male slaves followed her foolishly.
Their level of trust on Your Silver was crazy, or perhaps, they felt they had nothing to lose.
“Well, we’d forget about Your Silver since he isn’t much of a problem anymore. Spread rumors that Red Moon attacked our Delta.” I ordered.
Jake nodded.
“You and Jonah will pay Chris a visit with the findings we saw in this record. Tell him, your spy in Red Moon figured it out.” I added.
Jonah pointed at himself and them Jake. “You want us both to go there together?”
Jake turned to him. “It will be boring with you, I know, but I can endure since Red Moon will pay. Hopefully, I find a mate there too.” He sighed.
I rolled my eyes. A mate from Black Hills will be a spy to us here. They never changed their skin, not even for love.
“Yes, you deserve a mate from Black Hills, their women are very conceited. Have you heard of Princess Vanessa? A total bitch.” Jonah scoffed.
I remembered meeting her, she’s a bitch to bully maids. Also, our spy at the pack said Rihanna’s death had pleased the Princess.
“Let’s hope you find a good mate, both of you. But please, use your discretion and be careful for any other Red Moon attack.” I told them.
They nodded and walked out together, still arguing on which one would have a better mate.
To fuel the argument, I teased. “Jake, please take off your charm so incase you meet your mate at Black Hills, you’d recognize her.”
Jonah laughed, making me smile. My younger brother had a pout, glaring at me. I shrugged and began packing the books on my table.
“This charm will prevent me from finding my mate but will help me see a divine being. Which one is better? Mate or divine being?” he asked.
Jonah kept on laughing so I added.
“Just saying, you won’t know if you’d seen your mate already as you hadn’t taken it off. When visiting Black Hills, do take it off.”
Jonah nodded. “Yes, so you’d recognize Princess Vanessa as your mate.” He went back when Jake snapped his head at him.
“Never. This charm will stay in my neck!” my younger brother stomped his feet and stomped away. He looked cute being a very and it was satisfying
“Goodbye, Alpha!” Jonah yelled as he followed Jake out.
“Yeah, go safely.” I replied, and they were gone. The smile on my face faded as I remembered the silver wolf Jake spoke about.
Silver Wolfs were divine beings that had great power and can be very destructive if they go rogue, like Your Silver.
He had been freeing slaves for now, but what if he decides to take over packs? He’d be very difficult to handle.
