“Sir, you have drunk enough already. If you drink more, you’ll die.”
In the bar, the server advised.
However, Christopher ignored these words. Bottle after bottle of wine were poured into his stomach.
A dozen empty bottles was lying on the ground. A bottle of several hundred thousand dollars of wine was drunk by him as if it was the cheapest white wine.
The bar could earn at least tens of millions tonight. But if he had something wrong in the bar, it would suffer a lot.
Christopher pushed the bartender who was persuading him. He yelled, “Whoever fucking persuades me again, I’ll kill them!”
Expletives he had never been spoken before spilled out of his mouth.
He pointed to his chest and laughed, “You know nothing about me! Do you see here? My chest hurts much like hell!”
When the bartender heard this, he thought Christopher had a heart disease and called 120 for him.
Did everyone see him as a patient?
Christopher laughed out loudly. He was sick. It wasn’t his body but his heart!
He knew how her felt when Leslie took out her heart and threw it in front of him in his dream.
When the emergency vehicle came over, Christopher gave an angry scolding. Everyone did not dare to stop him.
He ran to the side of the road and drove his car towards a place.
He didn’t care anything happened to him. He only knew he missed her so much.
He’ll die if he couldn’t see her.
The car stopped at a bleak cemetery on the outskirts.
He remembered exactly where Leslie’s grave was located.
In fact, he had never dared to admit that the person he loved was Leslie.
He remembered her smile, her humble appearance, her stubborn look.
He remembered all about her.
But like a coward, he was afraid to admit it!
He stumbled over to Leslie’s grave.
The grave was inlaid with a picture of her when she was alive.
With a ‘bang’, Christopher knelt in front of Leslie’s grave.
Step by step, he moved his face and put his head on her picture.
“Leslie, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry!”
“You must hate me, right? I had wronged you and hurted you these years. Even I killed our baby by myself. You must hate me so much, right?”
“Promise me that you don’t forget me, okay? If you hate me, remember me. Come to me in your next life. You could take revenge on me fiercely. Give me back all the pain I gave you, OK?”
Unfortunately, no matter how much Christopher said, no one answered him.
The night was getting darker. There is no other sound around except for the insects and birds.
He hugged the tombstone and cried out, “Leslie, say something to me, okay? Scold me! Scold me as a cold-blooded, heartless and despicable villain!”
His hands caressed her picture. His heart ached as if it was dripping blood.
When Christopher was mourning in the graveyard, he was unaware that the Loomis consortium had already in a mess at the moment.
The assistant called him for many times. But Christopher’s phone was off.
Various subordinates went to Christopher’s home and the bars he visited frequently. But nobody found any trace of him.
“Christopher is the head of the Loomis. How dare he abandon the Loomis Company now? If anything goes wrong with the company because of him, I suggest to changing another CEO!”
The company was consisted of Christopher and other relatives of the Loomis. They have long wanted to get the position.
Those people couldn’t wait for catching Christopher’s mistakes. How could they give time for Christopher’s subordinates to find him?
On E&M company acquisition bidding ceremony, the Loomis was absent. Leslie bought the company valued 300 million with 50 million easily.
She saw the Loomis’ absent. Her brows could not help but wrinkle.
Did the Loomis have some tricks?
But it didn’t make sense. She did a lot of information before the acquisition. All the information showed that E&M is a very promising company. Their execution of the decision makers had problems. So their capital chain collapsed and had to be auctioned. But its technology and industry were very promising.
Christopher should not give up such a nice chance.
Leslie was filled with doubts in her mind.
When Phoenix called all of Steffen’s employees to celebrate her in the most luxurious hotel, she wasn’t happy.
“Congratulations to the CEO on her triumph!”
“I really admire our CEO, who was in a young age. She has brought us to make great performance.”
However, Leslie didn’t feel happy.
