A mighty uproar was raised among the audience.
The Honda sped up and stopped. Under inertia, it moved to the right lane from the left. The driver was too skillful and smart. All the audience gaped at the screen.
“Fuck! Smart ass!”
Watching the Honda go farther, Hugh smashed his steering wheel with blue in the face. The Honda had overtaken his car, and he felt indeed humiliated.
This was the first time that he was disgraced like this after becoming a racing driver.
He was defeated by a Honda.
“Wait and see, 24!”
Gritting his teeth, Hugh stepped on the gas, chasing the Honda. However, there were many turns afterward, so after making several turns, he had to admit that he couldn’t see the Honda.
“Robin, you are awesome!”
Nina was deeply impressed by Robin’s driving skills. Her face reddened, still feeling the lingering excitement of the overtaking scene just now. Although Robin had reminded her earlier, she almost fell to the mat.
“Continue calling me dear brother-in-law. I’ll overtake No. 23 in front of us.”
“All right. Come on, my dear brother-in-law!” Nina obediently called him.
Checking in front, she reminded him, “Robin, No. 23 seems far away.”
“It’s alright. There are still 14 sections left.”
Robin was calm and confident.
According to the map, the sections, in the beginning, were easy. However, the closer it was to the destination, the roads were bumpier with more turns. In the ending sections, the drivers had to slow down their cars.
“What? You were overtaken?”
Brian was baffled after receiving Hugh’s information. Hugh was known as a crash demon and promised Brian to block the Honda. However, Hugh failed.
“Did you do it on purpose, Hugh Iliugane?” Brian questioned him loudly.
Hugh was in wordless anger.
It wasn’t his fault. He had tried his best, but no one had expected the Honda to be like that. It pretended to overtake him from the left but suddenly stopped and rushed to the right.
It happened too suddenly for him to realize what the Honda driver was doing.
Hugh didn’t reply to Brian. If he told Brian what was on his mind, honestly, Brian would call him a loser.
“Mind you. He’s good at overtaking a car.”
Hugh told Brian how the Honda had overtaken his car and ended the conversation immediately. He felt too embarrassed. Besides, when he wanted to catch up with the Honda and hit it, it was long gone.
Hugh couldn’t do anything but inform Brian.
‘That driver is skillful?’
Brian frowned. However, he pressed his earphones the next second and spoke to other drivers. “There are seven cars ahead of me except for Timothy. If you help me stop the Honda, I’ll give you 60, 000 dollars each.”
He believed money worked well under such a circumstance. Besides, the drivers ahead all wanted to teach the Honda a lesson.
“Mr. Chase, you are indeed generous. I’m No. 2. I’ll do it. Anyway, I cannot win against Timothy. I give up the first prize.”
“Me, too. How dare a Honda to compete against us? Haha…”
“I’m gonna teach him a lesson today. How arrogant the brat is!”
Several drivers agreed to help him. Anyway, they couldn’t win against No. 1, and they were in a stalemate. Therefore, they wouldn’t mind taking 60, 000 dollars from Brian and doing him a favor.
“Whoa!” the anchor screamed again while watching the LED screen.
He explained hurriedly, “Look! The situation has changed again. The seven cars in the stalemate earlier slowed down to let No. 23 pass. Brian became second place… All right. The seven cars aim to block the Honda’s way.”
“Honestly speaking, they are shameless!” many audiences cursed them.
The anchor explained, “Well, this isn’t against the rules. It’s a sort of strategy. Now, the situation is different than facing No. 5. No. 5 was alone earlier, but the Honda needs to deal with seven cars altogether. All seven drivers are as tough as Hugh and even better than him. Will the Honda make it again?”
“It’s an impasse indeed. More difficult than in the earlier scene. Will the Honda overtake them and create another miracle? Let’s stay tuned.”
The audience glued their gazes to the screen upon hearing the anchor’s words.
“Can he make it again? I can’t see the possibility.”
“The road is wide enough for three cars to run shoulder-by-shoulder. However, there are seven in total. All the drivers are excellent. If they deliberately block the Honda’s way, I don’t think it’ll make it.”
“The possibility is zero. Absolutely. The Honda cannot make it for sure.”
The audience didn’t think the Honda would overtake the seven cars. Although they had seen the fantastic scene earlier, they believed the current situation was too difficult. The seven vehicles had blocked its way entirely.
“Brat, you’ve caught up with us in the Honda. However, you must end here. If you overtake me, I should quit the car racing.”
The driver of No. 2 was a mid-aged man. Seeing the Honda in the rearview mirror, he sneered.
‘Want to overtake us by driving a Honda? You’d better dream on!’
The seven cars blocked the road, giving the Honda no chance to overtake.
