On another street, a Lamborghini was running. A young man wearing sunglasses was sitting in the driver’s seat. While driving, he said to the woman in a sexual outfit next to him, “My Lamborghini’s base price is 1. 4 million dollars. Later, I refitted it and changed the engine to the racing car’s version. It can be used as a racing car.”
“You are awesome, Mr. Chase.”
The woman stared at him in admiration, wishing to throw herself into Brian Chase’s arms.
Brian chuckled. He had made this girlfriend not long ago and took her for a joy ride to show his refitted Lamborghini. He added, “Basically, no other cars can exceed my Lamborghini’s speed. Sit still…”
However, before he finished bragging, a car roared past his vehicle.
“What the heck?”
Brian was taken aback. Rubbing his eyes, he looked ahead. “Porsche 87Y? Isn’t it supposed to be the old model seven or eight years ago?”
“Mr. Chase, did you overestimate your car? That Porsche has overtaken you. Did you lie to me? Think I’m a fool?” the woman in the passenger’s seat curled her lips and complained.
Brian was irritated.
He was a son from an affluent family. His girlfriend’s disdainful words were the biggest humiliation for him.
“Watch me! I’ll overtake it. It’s just an old-modeled Porsche that’s supposed to be eliminated. Humph! Sit still and watch!”
Brian angrily stepped on the gas, wishing to overtake Robin’s Porsche.
After turning an intersection, the Porsche had already gone from their sight.
“You liar!” the woman in the passenger’s seat complained.
“Shit! What’s going on? Where is that Porsche from? Who’s driving it?”
Scratching his hair, Brian looked confused. He was embarrassed after bragging. Puzzled, he dialed a number. “Hello. Can Porsche 87Y be used as a racing car?”
“What? It has already stopped producing?”
Brian was depressed as he had been defeated by the old-modeled Porsche.
…
Meanwhile, at the entrance of the French restaurant, Robin and Elise got off the car.
“I feel a little bit dizzy.”
Elise couldn’t keep her balance after getting down from the car. Holding Robin’s arm, she reminded him, “If you do it again next time, remind me first. I thought you were flying the car instead of driving it.”
Robin wanted to remind her that he had done so.
Suddenly, Elise recalled something. She pulled out her phone and tabbed to use the timer.
“Wait. Let’s talk about it later. I will time for them.”
“What are you doing?” Robin asked.
“Well, Snowy Houry always likes to mock me. She has done this to me several times. Now it’s my turn.”
Elise was rarely delighted.
Usually, Snowy bullied her and was always against her. Much to her surprise, she could turn the tables today.
Ten minutes later.
Hank and Snowy finally arrived. Once they got off the car, they saw Robin and Elise waiting at the entrance, their faces dark. It wasn’t only because they had lost the car race but also because they almost had a car accident after speeding up.
After all, not everyone had the same driving skills as Robin.
“Snowy, what’s wrong with your Bentley? We’ve been waiting for ten minutes. Why don’t you buy a new car? How can a new Bentley fail to catch up with my seven-year-old Porsche?”
Elise walked to them, showing the time on her phone.
“Humph!”
Snowy looked away unhappily. Usually, she played such tricks to disgrace Elise, but today, she was given a dose of her own medicine. After a pause, she mocked, “Don’t be so complacent. The Robin-Sophia Group’s project will soon be ours.”
Her words hit Elise’s raw nerves.
Elise had tried hard to gain this project. However, as soon as Snowy had returned to town, Gordon sided with David immediately and made her effort in vain.
She didn’t know how to tell her parents about this matter after returning home.
Seeing her face pale, Snowy said triumphantly, “Forget it. I’m not stimulating you any longer. Let’s go in. It’s a high-end restaurant. You’d better behave yourselves. Don’t embarrass us.”
Snowy took Hank’s arm and walked in complacently as if she had won a battle.
Hank glanced at Robin in disdain. He had heard of Robin many times, but all were negative things. Hank was a captain in Western Kisia, so he believed he could deal with Robin with a lift of a finger.
From the beginning, he had never considered Robin his competitor as they were not at the same level.
After Snowy was gone, Elise put away her phone in depression. However, Robin held her hand and consoled her, “It’s alright, Elise. I’m with you. Let’s enter.”
Staring at his hand, Elise blushed slightly.
This was the second time her hand was held by a man. The first time was when they were on the rooftop of the Robin-Sophia Group, and she took the initiative to grip his.
This time Robin did it actively instead.
He was the first man that she was so intimate with in her life.
“OK.”
Nodding, Elise entered the restaurant with Robin.
The French restaurant was indeed high-end. A line of waitresses in uniform bowed at them. When they walked ahead, they saw all the waiters and waitresses were all French. In the center of the hall was a giant piano.
A pianist was playing a melodious song.
The romantic and delicate decoration made the diners feel they were in France.
Snow and Hank sat in the booth next to the window. Robin and Elise walked to the table. Shortly after, a French waitress went to their table to take an order. She was almost 5’7″, blonde, with a beautiful figure. Evidently, she passed through filtering and interviews to become a waitress.
“A meal here will cost at least 2, 000 dollars. I can afford it once per month. You must grasp this chance, as you won’t know when you’ll have another opportunity to dine here,” Snowy said triumphantly.
Elise couldn’t retort to her as she had told the truth. They both were Gordon’s granddaughters. However, Snowy had a younger brother, so Gordon treated her much better than Elise.
In their family, Snowy had 10, 000 dollars for a monthly allowance. However, Elise didn’t get anything, even not a penny. Elise had to earn money by herself.
“Good day, misters and misses. What would you like to order?”
The waitress spoke French to them.
Hank smiled and ordered in French, “Un… Fromage… Un…”
After that, he said to Elise, “I don’t know what you’d like to order. My French is not good. So I didn’t order for you.”
Elise was stiff. She couldn’t speak French at all.
It was evident that Hank was giving them a hard time.
However, Robin glanced at Hank and remarked, “Your French sucks, actually. You spoke five syllables but mispronounced three. You are indeed brave to order in French. Aren’t you purposely giving the waitress a hard time?”
