“By the way, you cannot take advantage of me after returning home,” Elise suddenly added in a warning tone.
They pulled up to the restaurant and got off the car.
“Celeste Restaurant.”
Robin looked up at the logo, a trace of craziness flashing through his eyes. He roughly figured out what would happen next. Seemingly someone wanted to do something to his wife. How dare they! He was Primus of Kisia, nicknamed Death.
“How bold you are!” Robin uttered a few words with a sneer.
Then he followed Elise into the hotel and arrived at a private box, his gaze sweeping around. He saw Reginald and five to six bruisers.
Seeing Elise, Reginald immediately stood up and greeted her, “Here you came, Ms. Houry.”
“Good evening, Mr. Lucas,” Elise nodded at him in response. However, when Reginald approached her, she flinched and clung to Robin. “Mr. Lucas, this is Robin Bailey, my husband. You met him last time.”
Only then did Reginald see Robin, so he greeted perfunctorily, “Hi, Mr. Bailey.”
He was irritated. ‘Damn it! How could Robin Bailey come here?’ Last time, he almost successfully gained Elise’s heart as her parents had agreed to let them be together. However, Robin suddenly appeared and ruined his plan.
Reginald couldn’t help cursing inwardly.
In fact, he had known the blue diamond was artificial when buying it. However, he didn’t think Leslie could recognize it. He only spent 10 dollars on it instead of 120, 000 dollars. All he wanted was to have sex with Elise.
However, Robin ruined his plan completely.
“Mr. Lucas, this is our business plan and agreement. Please have a look.”
Elise pulled out a folder from her bag, ready for business negotiation. However, Reginald flicked his hand in refusal. “You cannot talk shop right after entering. I ordered a lot of dishes.”
Reginald pushed the folder aside, pointing at the dishes. Then he sat down.
“All right.”
Elise had to sit at the table. However, Robin took the initiative to sit next to Reginald and asked, “Mr. Lucas, you won’t mind me sitting here, will you?”
“This chair is for Elise. We’ll talk shop later.”
Reginald frowned.
There were seven people in the box, so only two empty chairs were left. One happened to be next to Reginald. He planned to let Elise sit there so he could take advantage of her in the name of talking shop.
Elise had a curved shape, looking mature and bright. Reginald had a crush on her for a long time. If he made her drunk today, everything would happen naturally.
However, he hadn’t expected Robin to appear in the box and sit next to him.
“Mr. Lucas, as you said just now, we cannot talk shop as soon as entering here. Let’s have a drink,” Robin retorted.
“OK.”
Unhappiness was written all over Reginald’s face. However, Reginald battled a smile, raised his glass, and said to Elise, “Ms. Houry, let’s have a drink. For our gathering.”
“For our gathering.”
Elise had been prepared to get drunk today. Besides, she wasn’t sure if she could let Reginald sign the cooperation agreement with her. However, she couldn’t give up even if there was only a ray of hope. She couldn’t afford it.
Surprisingly, when she raised her glass, Robin grabbed it from her hand and chimed in, “My wife cannot drink. I’m her husband. I’ll drink on her behalf.”
“Cheers!” Robin gulped the liquor down in one go.
“You want to drink on her behalf. No problem.”
Reginald was joyful. He didn’t mind making Robin drunk first. They were drinking a liquor named Blue Sword, 53% alcohol by volume. Each bottle cost 600 dollars. Usually, a man would be hammered after drinking three glasses. Reginald prepared three boxes, 36 bottles in total.
His subordinates were also good at drinking, and he deliberately took them here.
If Robin wanted to compete in drinking, he would be blasted.
Even if Robin had an accident because of it, it wouldn’t be his fault. After all, he didn’t push Robin to drink. He was willing to compensate financially, anyway.
“You are a good drinker,” Reginald flattered Robin.
He also gulped down the liquor in his glass. Then he felt slightly dizzy.
He had to admit the liquor was indeed strong.
“Another shot, Robin.”
Reginald refilled Robin’s glass and hinted at him. “Your wife wants to talk business with me, but you must delight me while drinking. If I’m happy, I’ll sign the agreement. Cheers!”
They gulped down the second glass of liquor.
Elise tugged his sleeve. “Stop it. You cannot win against all of them. This liquor has high alcohol by volume.”
“Do you trust me?”
Robin stared at her.
After hesitating for a moment, Elise nodded. “Yes.”
“All right. Give me the agreement. I’ll drink on your behalf tonight.”
Robin took over the contract and gulped down the third glass of liquor. Reginald was drunk, so he hinted at his subordinates.
“Dude, you are really good at drinking. Let’s have a drink.”
A bald man walked up to drink with Robin. He seemed to be good at it and competed with Robin immediately.
Sitting in his chair, Reginald watched the scene with a reddened face, narrowing his eyes. He chuckled and muttered, “Robin Bailey, you’ll be so doomed today. You are alone, but I brought five men here. I’ll make you hammered and your wife drunk. Then I’ll take her to the hotel. We’ll have a wonderful night. I won’t sign the agreement in the end.”
The thought lit up his eyes in lust.
He looked at Robin expectantly, wishing to watch him become unconscious.
However, his men gradually fell to the ground, and 17 bottles of Blue Sword were emptied.
“Bang!”
The last man collapsed to the floor and blacked out with others hammered. Each of them had almost drunk a bottle of liquor, which was six glasses.
Although they were good at drinking, they couldn’t drink more.
“Wait for me at the door,” Robin said to Elise.
“All right.”
Elise was like a good wife, obediently walking toward the restaurant entrance to wait for him.
Robin held a bottle of Blue Sword to Reginald, lifting his brow. “Mr. Lucas, let’s go on.”
“I… I cannot drink anymore…”
Reginald flicked his hand to refuse.
“Well, you bullied my wife. I’m a petty man. You must drink this bottle.”
Robin opened the lid and gulped all the liquor into Reginald’s mouth.
“I… I can’t…”
“Congratulations, Mr. Lucas! Lucky you. You’ve won another bottle.”
“No… Stop it… I can’t… Help!”
Reginald struggled but failed to break free from Primus’ grip.
A smile touched Robin’s lips, but Reginald believed he had seen a demon. His pupils flared. The next second, Robin chuckled, “Mr. Lucas, it’s your day today. You’ve won another bottle. Come on!”
“Help!” Reginald let out a miserable cry in the box.
