The weather was cool making her skin so dry. Her wounds intensify with the amount of air that hits them. Ella winced so painfully. The wound was not healing as fast as she has thought.
Raphael kept on pacing around the room. He was confused about what he wanted. A few hours after he woke up from the hospital, he came down running after Ella. He thought he would arrest her but something in him was stopping him from harming her. He knew it was the mate pull. He had his back turned at her when he turn around to look at her, he saw that she was burning up.
Raphael ran to her side instantly. He was confused about what to do. His hand shook. Yes he was an alpha but when it comes to her, he tends to be confused about a lot of things
” You are burning up,” He said while checking her temperature. He didn’t know what to do.
She was shaking so hard. Her lips turned so white. Her skin was so white too ” I do… don’t want… t to d.. ie… Please save me” she whispered out in pain.
Raphael tried to check the wound on her back then he realized that she was poisoned with the arrow. A dangerous poison that is so hard to heal.
She was slipping into darkness little by little. Her eyeball was all white right now. Raphael knew this was his mate and he needed to save her no matter what even though it meant risking her life. Ironically, she saved his life too while he was on the sick bed and this was his turn to return that favor.
He was turning so red like blood. It looks so disgusting. Raphael knew he doesn’t have much time to inspect the wound, all he needs to do at the moment is to revive her. Be started chanting some powerful words. Something Maria thought him while he was a child. He brought out a necklace that was always with him at any point in time. The necklace was a gift from Maria she told him to use it when someone close to him was in danger but the irony of things, it can’t work for him.
The necklace was a green round like pearls. He did as he was instructed. The necklace lightened up. He placed it on her burning body. She shook immediately after it came in contact with her body. Her teeth clenched together so tightly.
The wounds began to change colors. It wasn’t certain to what colors it kept changing too. All he knew was at some point it began to close up. The wound healed completely.
She was sound asleep. He released the breath he didn’t know he was holding. His hand shook as he kept the necklace inside his pocket but when he thought twice about it, he brought it out and clip it around her neck hoping that the pain doesn’t come back.
He pushed her ears and crossed her ears. She looks so sound asleep. Her skin was now back to normal. She looks so breathtaking. He couldn’t help but use that moment to admire her beauty. He was always fond of her even before he found out that she was his mate. She has always held his attention a lot. It made a lot of sense to him now. She

Raphael let out a loud sigh. Here he thought he could hurt her but he can’t. He can’t hurt her at all. She is too precious to be injured. He was lost by her beauty.
” Why do you make me feel this way about you” He spoke ” One moment I like you and the next I want to hurt you. What are you doing to me, Melissa? There is so much going on in my head that I want to tell you but I don’t think I would ”
He traced his fingers from her face to her dried lips ” I’m so fed up with your games. What exactly do you want from me?” He whispered.
She snored quietly in her sleep. The way his finger traced her face, she reacted to it. He chuckled. He loves the fact that she was reacting to his every touch even in her sleep.
” Never knew you have it in you”
He suddenly heard his phone ring in his pocket. He groaned not liking the distraction at all.
It was his sister Jemima
” Hey” he picked up instantly.
” Where have you been? I’ve been trying to send a mind link but nothing was working out ” she said
He blocked all connections with the pack. He knew they will all be looking for him so that was the best option he got.
” I needed some time,” he said to her.
” Have you found her yet?” She asked
He rolled his eyes knowing that she didn’t see him ” Don’t act like you didn’t help her to escape”
” It was the least I could do to her at the time. She was in desperate need ” she said trying to justify her action.
” I don’t have time for your explanation. Just let me be for a while please ” He said leaving no room for any argument
Jemima knew better than to argue. She understood that he had all the right to shut her up ” Ok but please when you find her don’t hurt her. She isn’t a bad person, I promise ”
” Whatever ” he ended the call.
Raphael threw the phone across the room. He was tired of people calling her a good person. Maria also said the same thing to him and now Jemima. How was she able to cast a spell on them so easily? He asked himself as he stared at her laying figure. She was confusing him the more.
She is the first woman to make him feel complicated. All his life he thought he knew everything and whatever was going to happen but since she arrive so many things changed. She is just full of mysteries.
