We drove through the suburbs and reaches into the country side.
After the longest time we reached the destination, I thought so. Because I felt asleep. It wasn’t a good sleep as I my back was hurting because of sitting for so long. Damn sure Sean must be more tired because he was driving as well.
Sean urged me a little. So I moved in my seat and moaned. I heard some mumbled voice of Shawn’s. I think he said something along the lines of. Get up Eva. Come on, we are there.
I opened my eyes and fluttered them and looked around to see myself placed in the car and seat belt. Fast and around me. Then I laid my head back on the address. And yawned a little.
“Are we there, yet?” I asked him despite knowing that the car has stopped and we finally reached a destination.
“Yes, we have arrived.” He answered me patiently. Not bothered by my bratty attitude. Well, it wasn’t that party. I just fell asleep. After all, I was really tired. Due to all the circumstances and occurrences in my day.
“Come with me,” He urged. “Come on! Let’s go!” He said a little too excitedly. I smiled at him with a peaceful expression. Because him looking excited was an unbelievable sight.
“This is my place, my town.” He said with pride in his voice. He took a deep breath after he said that, and that let out that he was really happy to have this place on him. And I was just happy for him, I guess.
I demand eyes with my hands and then I actually looked at the place and I was appalled. I couldn’t believe my eyes. This place was like heaven on Earth. The warm breeze touching my skin raised goose bumps. I closed my eyes for a moment and just felt the air in the country side. It was so different than the city air. It was so much fresh. And beautiful. I saw as the sun was starting to rise. It looked so beautiful all the pinks and oranges mushing together. It looked heavenly and divine.
“Oh! Wow. This is beautiful. It was interesting to look at on Internet when I googled the country side some times. But, in person it is even more beautiful.” I told him and it was true. This place was just out of this world, amazing. And the pictures couldn’t even compare to the reality. Seeing all of this beauty and the nature with my own eyes is truly a pleasure. And it was a lot by Sean and him only.
“It is truly one of the most beautiful places on the Earth. It is a pride of people living here.” He explained to me. And I know how can this place not be anyone’s pride. It must be a pleasure to live here all their lives.
“Is that so?” I asked him playfully to lighten up the tension we have between us because his gaze on me and we’ve been alone in this beautiful place is really doing wonders to me.
“It is very much so.” He replied to me. Matching my playfulness.
“The beams of churches and the synagogues are interconnected, are not they?” I asked him with excitement.
“Yes, they are. And, the temple of Apollo is behind the church. It can also be seen from up here.” Informed me and pointed his finger out in that direction to show me. I squinch my eyes to see the dome and I saw the beautiful dome and the church right behind it. They were aligned. And looking so beautiful.
“Come on Eva. Let’s do all this business with the wedding. Let’s start walking to the penthouse. I’ll walk with you there as well.” He guided me with his hand, stretched out to take my in. I looked at it for a second and then I placed my hand into his.
“Okay, sure!” I said excitedly. I was really excited to see this town this amazing town is going to do wonders for me and I know it.
Just then his phone rang. He checked the screen and then said, “sorry I have to take this.” Then he walked a little father to sit privacy and talked on his phone for awhile.
Then he returned back to me and asked me, “So what do you think, Eva? What story should we come up with for getting married in two days of knowing each other?” He asked me and I take some time to think about it and a story Stuck into my mind like a rocket. So I shooted at him, my thoughts.
“Well, we’ll start with something like we met in college years ago. And we knew each other from the university.” I started and looking at him expectantly to see if he likes the story.
“Okay, go on.” He urged me to move further and say more to that.
“And let’s say maybe two months ago I came here to live and set up my business and we met again. And we were covered with love.” I added with the most romantic love story in the world. I really thought my love story would be like that, but. I guess not.
“Exactly, that’s perfect. You should have been a script writer.” He praised me and I felt a little pride in my chest.
“So Eva, Are you ready to get married to me?” He asked, me with a teasing smile, but I knew Beneath that teasing smile, he had a genuine heart and he asked me genuinely that question.
“Is this a proposal Mr. Dell?” I asked him playfully.
“You can call it that.” He mumbled, rubbing his jaw.
“Okay, then I am ready to become Mrs. Dell.” I replied to him with a small smile. Even though I thought that with that when I get proposed it would be on one knee. Sean might not have proposed me and get on one knee, but he really proposed me or one of the most beautiful places on Earth. And for that I’m grateful.
“Where will we live after we get married?” I asked him with curiosity.
“In my family’s house, it is a tradition we live all together in a big joint family. We have a huge house. It is more like a mansion. For example, my brother and his wife also lives with us.” He explained to me about all the arrangements after that.
“That means I’ll be living under the same roof as my mother-in-law?” I asked him with curiosity and excitement. Damn this is going to be hard I think to myself.
“Yep, very much so.” He replied with a smirk.
“Let’s go and have something to eat before the big day.” He said to me and took my hand and pulled me to him.
“Okay, let’s go.” I said excitedly and walked alongside And together with him.
