Book:The Alpha King's Spy Mate Published:2024-5-1

Rosie and Jemima glared at each other as they flex their muscles. Judging from the way people talk about them, one would think they were two burly females with a man’s structure. Right now, what I’m staring at is far different from what people say.
The two ladies were the definitions of the goddess. They are so beautiful that one can easily get jealous, I’m far nothing compared to them. I wasn’t even that pretty. I scoffed to myself.
Rosie was a blonde, not just a blonde but a shining blonde. Her skin sparkle in the sun making her look like an angel. She was so tall and had this model-like body, no one would have thought she was a warrior. I’m sure she must have guys falling at her feet.
Jemima on the other hand wasn’t a blonde, she had dark curly hair that brings out her perfectly round brown eyes. She was curvier than rose and a little bit shorter than the rose. Jemima has this killer body that will make guys go crazy.
How can these two goddess be a warrior for crying out loud?!
I was in total awe that I feel so jealous of their beauty right now. I stared at Ashley and I can see the same reaction on her face. I sighed, how I wish I was them right now.
Ashley couldn’t close her mouth ” I can’t believe what I’m seeing right now ”
” I know right” I nodded in understanding.
” Please let’s move forward Melissa, I need to see them in action” Ashley held my hand pleadingly.
I almost chuckled at her ” You don’t need to beg, I too want to watch them fight closely ”
We pushed ourselves to the front, the crowd was just too much which almost makes it impossible to make our way to the front. Each fighter came to the middle of the fighting floor. They both shook hands as it was a rule to do that before any fight.
Looking at them closely, Rosie looks a bit witty to me while Jemima is the quiet type that won’t talk but rather show some actions. Jemima was more of a definition of me, we look simple on the outside but on the inside, we are nothing like that.
This thought made me want to be in the ring right now.  I need a fight too and I don’t think I’ll be able to fight these two. They are two strong warriors but a trial won’t hurt.
Ashley whistled as the bell rang. She was supporting Rosie and I on the other hand find myself supporting Jemima. I guess it’s because she reminds me of myself.
Judging by all the crowd, Rosie got more supporters than Jemima and I feel so sad. Rosie got more people and judging from everything, she is of high rank which gave her popularity.
They were set for action, both positioned themselves making a fighter post staring deep into each other’s eyes. Rosie made the first move. She threw a punch but luckily Jemima dodge it. I fold my palm into a fist.
” I want Rosie to win,” Ashley said beside me.
I mentally rolled my eyes. Everyone wants Rosie to win!
This time around Jemima wasn’t lucky enough, she got thrown to the ground. It must hurt because she was coughing blood. She groaned in pain a she stood up making a stance. She threw a punch and kick making Rosie stagger backward. It irritates Rosie judging by her facial expression.
My palm formed into a tight fist hoping this fight ends with Jemima winning. The two were both having 2-2, remaining their last round which would determine the winner.
They were already weak. If they were in wolf form, the winners would have been announced but unfortunately, the rule says they both have to fight in human form.
Rosie got up from the ground looking pissed for the tenth time. This time around Jemima was having the upper hand and people were not liking it one bit.
Jemima was about to kick Rosie to the ground which would make her the winner but something unexpected happened. It happened so fast that no one saw it coming. Just like magic, Jemima found herself on the ground not moving.
I was beyond shock because magic wasn’t allowed in a fight like this but no one seems to notice. The crowd screamed happily announcing Rosie as the winner.
This made me wonder if I was the only one that saw what happened.
” Did you see what just happened?” I asked Ashley who was squealing loud.
She nodded ” Yes, Rosie won”
” That’s not what I meant ” I tried saying.
She gave me a confused look ” What do you mean?”
” You didn’t see the shadow?”
” What shadow?” She was even more confused.
I didn’t know how to explain so I just waved it off ” Don’t bother ”
I glanced at the ring where some red cross were attending to Jemima who was already up. She looks confused. I’m sure she doesn’t understand what just happened.
I couldn’t take my eyes from her, just when I was about to glance away, she met my eyes and I froze. I did the first thing that came to mind. I gave her a warm smile and thumb up, whispering You are the champion.
Jemima didn’t show any reaction, she just kept staring at me. I turned around and followed Ashley as we made our way out of the war zone.
My heart wasn’t settled and all because of the shadow. Was I the only one that saw it? I just have an answer.
” Melissa!”
I turn around only to see Lena running to catch up to us. She had a wide smile on her face that can brighten the day.
” I’ve been looking all over for you. Where have you been?” She asked as she stands in front of me.
I smiled, her smile was contagious” I’ve been at the arena to watch the fight ”
Ashley cleared her throat slightly confused at who Lena was.
” Erm. Lena meet my friend Ashley. We are friends way back from our pack. Ashley this is Lena, a friend I made today”
” Oh. Nice meeting you Lena” Ashley stretched out her hand for a handshake but Lens wasn’t having it, she pulled her in for a hug instead.
” Nice meeting you too, Ashley”
I was happy to see my click increasing. I felt like an older sister reuniting two junior ones.
” Let head to the dining room. I’m hungry right now ” Ashley groaned out while rubbing her stomach.
Lena chuckled ” I thought I was the only one. Watching the fight earlier really drained a lot. I was rooting for Jemima you know,” she said as she stared at me ” But she never won”
I thought I was the only one feeling bad about that.
