Stella’s point of view.
“Welcome to my world, Miss Alessandro!” I squealed excitedly the moment Megan and I step foot into Joan’s.
Megan gave me a weird look as she shook her head and rolled her eyeballs.
“Tell me some new” she grumbled loudly.
Loud music is blasting everywhere, the night’s still very young but there was already the awful yet sweet smell of cigarettes and alcohol in the air, because drunk and sweaty clubbers were everywhere, some were dancing on the dancefloor with their partners, and from the look of things I could tell most of them are one night partners -one nightstands.
Well, what can I say? One nightstand is sorrow free, because there aren’t gonna be any fuçking heartbreak.. relationships sucks big time.
“Come on, honey, let’s get a table” she said and grabbed my left arm.
But I pulled back, which made her stopped walking and gave me a questioning look. I was about telling her that Jimmy’s gonna join us, when I heard a short but loud whistle from our left, it sounded as though someone wanted to get our attention.
Our gaze moved towards that direction and we saw Jimmy sitting on a table at a pretty dark corner, with some other guys whom I assume are his friends.
“Over here!” Jimmy waved us over.
I grabbed Meg’s wrist to pull her along, but realized her drastic change of expression when she saw Jimmy, I felt some kind of hostility and hatred in her eyes as she was staring.. no, glaring at him.
I wondered what was going on, but still choose to ignore her for now, and began making way through the sea of clubbers to get to Jimmy and his friends, while forcefully dragging Meg along. But she somehow held my arm and pulled me back.
“You didn’t tell he’s coming too” she said while giving me the querying look.
“I didn’t know he was coming until the last minute” I replied.
“Huh?”
“I mean, he messaged me earlier when we were in the cab, that he’s coming with his friends and wanted me to join them, but I told him we’re coming here tonight already” I quickly explained.
“What?!” she exclaimed in a very low tone. “He messaged you while we were in the cab but you didn’t even think of telling me?”
I narrowed my eyes at her tone of voice, it seems like she’s purposely showing her dislike or anger towards Jimmy.
“Are you mad at Jimmy or something?” I asked.
She looked towards Jimmy’s direction, I could see this fire of anger and hatred burning in her eyes, as she glared maliciously at him.
“What’s going on?” I asked again.
“I don’t like him” she answered bluntly.
“What?”
She looked away from him, but the anger and hatred in her eyes didn’t leave.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I just don’t like him since he came out of jail” she said. “More like broke out” she grumbled underneath her breath, but I heard her since her voice was a little loud because of the loud music.
“Come on, Jimmy’s a great guy, I’ve known him since as long as I can remember”
“Change is the only thing that’s constant in life, Ella, people change everyday”
I simply smiled at her words. Yeah, I agree with her and she ain’t the only one that suspects Jimmy’s early release.. but we don’t have to make our suspicion so obvious.
“Come on, let’s go, Jimmy’s a great guy”
I grabbed her hand, then dragged her along.

“Hello, guys!” I greeted Jimmy and his friends once we arrived their table.
“Hello?” they all replied.
My eyes did a quick scan as I mentally counted his friends, and I realized they’re twelve all together and they’re all so hot guys -but what the hell is he doing with so much crowd of friends?
“Guys, meet my best friends” he said while making room for me to sit next to him. “Stella” he placed a kiss on my right cheek as if to identify me. “And… Megan” he simply pointed at Megan who’s already sitting next to me, but a little bit far from Jimmy.
“It’s our pleasure to meet these beautiful ladies” one of his friends said and I simply flashed him a smile.
“Er.. I’d have introduced them” Jimmy gestured at his friends. “But they’re too much and you’re gonna get their names mixed-up”
Everyone laughed at Jimmy’s words, except Megan who’s busy glaring daggers at him.
“But that was Pete” he said pointing at the guy who just spoke.
Pete blew me a kiss which I dodged quickly, and his other friends roared into a fit of laughter.
He’s hot and I love hot guys, but he ain’t my type of hot guys and it’s best I don’t give him the wrong impression, or else, he’s gonna think I’m interested in him.
“Guys, Jimmy’s friends are my friends too, so let’s not refrain ourselves” I said.
I reached for a bottle of whiskey, opened it and poured a good amount on the glass in front of me, then raised it for a toast.
“Let’s drink and dance to our hearts content tonight!”
I received a series of “yeah” and everyone raised their glasses for the toast.
“Girl, I love your badàss vibes!” Pete complimented me, giving me a flirtatious look.
“Thanks”
“You’re welcome, sexy” he replied with a wink -I guess he’s hell bent on hooking up with me.
I turned away from him and faced Megan, my brows furrowed at the drink I saw in her hand.
“Why are you having water? Aren’t we here to celebrate your new job?”
She scoffed. “I just lost the interest of getting drunk tonight”
“But…”
“Don’t worry about me, baby” she placed a hand on my shoulder. “One of us needs to be sober in other to bring the drunk one home safely” she said.
I pouted and gave her my best puppy eyes.
“Are you sure you’re ok with not drinking anything other than water?”
“Super ok”
“But we came here… ”
“Don’t worry about me” she smiled.
I smiled back at her. “Then I’m gonna go back to drinking, yeah?”
“Yeah, go on”
I smiled once more, before turning back to the guys and joined them.
*Few moments later**
“YEAHHHH”
Roars of excitement filled the air as “Shape of you” by Ed Sheeran blasted, everyone began dancing crazily to the beat of the music, and everyone at our table aren’t excluded.
The rest of the guys has jumped into the dancefloor to find dance partners, now it’s just me, Megan, Pete and Jimmy, but Jimmy’s barely conscious now because he’s dead drunk and that was because he added something to his drinks -I wonder what that was.
“Hey, Stella, right?” Pete called me and I simply nodded. “How about we join the craziness?” he asked.
My eyes moved towards the dancefloor, it’s crazy over there and I couldn’t refrain myself no more, I felt like jumping in -afterall, there’s nothing to do here.
I faced Meg, but it seems like she’s already understood me and she nodded in approval.
“Thanks babe” I gave her a thank you kiss on her cheek, then sprang up and raced towards the dancefloor, with Pete following close behind.
