Chapter 33

Book:Rise of the Alpha Were-Jaguar Published:2024-5-1

Alpha Andrés walked us back to his car. I saw Tony lurking in the shadows. He gave me a thumbs up sign, I waved back. I saw the outline of Elsa from an upstairs window. She was looking down at me and Jake.
“Dad.” I whispered. “Can’t we stay for a little longer? I really want to stay.”
He smiled and said, “Do you really want to die? Because is you stay. You will die.”
I quietened at that. We entered a black shiny Jeep. I had not seen it before, even in the exclusive garage.
We got into the car and Alpha Andrés nosed out of the drive way. I turned to catch a last glance at the mansion.
“Smart boys you’ve got there.” Alpha Andrés was saying to Alpha Jamie. “You should be proud. Jake… very good with the kids… a real blooded Alpha”
Alpha Jamie turned to look at his son who turned red and ducked his head. I nudged him, smiling.
“The other one… so intelligent. A bit too curious for his own good.” He said this with good humour.
“He didn’t cause you any problems, did he?” Jaja asked.
“Actually, no. We did have more than one serious conversations. A serious boy, he is. Ain’t that right, chico?”
I nodded, although I was not sure they saw me because we were even driving in the dark.
We passed under a streetlight and the light illuminated the car and Dad’s face for a second. In that second, I saw that he was looking at me with his gold wolf eyes. Asking questions?
I shook my head slightly. I knew the question he was asking with his eyes. He was asking if I had shifted.
Alpha Andrés manoeuvred his way into the airport parking lot and we all stepped out. He shook hands with Alpha Jamie, Dad and Uncle Jaja. Then he turned to me and Jake and said, “Be good, boys. You hear?”
We both nodded.
He patted my shoulder and said, “Remember what we talked about? Don’t forget it, okay?”
I nodded. “Yes, Alpha Andrés.”
He nodded tightly.
“Come on, Jason.” Alpha Jamie said, softly. “Thank you, Andrés. We will keep touch.”
“We will.” Alpha Andrés replied. “Or atleast, this one will.” He nodded at me.
I blushed furiously as Uncle Jaja guffawed loudly. We headed to the private hangar where our jet was. I suddenly realized that I was so tired, as soon as we taxied and took off, I started dozing until Jake came to my side and nudged me awake.
“Duuuudeee! That was wicked!” He said, smiling widely.
“Whatt?” I asked.
He looked around and whispered. “Your kiss with Elsa. It was mind blowing.”
I remembered and felt a blush creeping from my neck up to my cheek. “I thought she was hot for you.”
He laughed loud at that. “Me?” There was utter shock written all over his face. “What would make you think that?”
I thought for a while then said, “The low voiced conversations, She always laughed when she was with you…”
“That’s because I’m funny.” He laughed again. “She told me how she liked you, you know. Her wolf liked you too, since the first night we arrived.”
That was news to me. “She held your hand… it looked pretty intimate to me.”
“I was not feeling well. That was her way of showing support. She wanted to give me strength.”
“You two, sure looked pretty good together.” I muttered.
“You think so?” He asked
“I know so. I dream of her, you know.”
“Yeah, I know.” He said nonchalantly. “You say her name in your sleep.”
“I don’t.”
“Yes you do. Dad will want to talk to us as soon as we land in London. What should we tell him?”
“The truth. There’s nothing to hide. We tell him everything.”
He nodded. “He’ll most likely go to Fey Kingdom and start a war.”
“Where is Fey Kingdom?” I asked
“I don’t know.” He shrugged. “Somewhere in Australia or Africa.”
“Do you remember Uncle Jaja?” I asked.
“Sure. Alpha Jonas. He’s my godfather. I have no idea what he’s doing here. He has his pack to look after. He grew up with Dad and your mum, aunt Lydia.”
I nodded. No wonder he was familiar. I saw him at Jake’s birthing period. I sighed and relaxed back, staring out the window. I could occasionally see small buildings and roads with tiny looking cars, but mostly white mist and clouds covered my view. I could hear the men discuss in the cabin behind ours.
“What will you do about Lily?” Jake asked.
“Lily? What will I do about her?” I asked back in reply.
“You have another love in Brazil now.” Jake said mischievously.
“Lily doesn’t have to know that.” I muttered.
Jake giggled. “I love this. You’d tell her what happened to us, wouldn’t you?”
I nodded.
“What would you tell her about Elsa then?”
“Nothing at all. Except she was the daughter of the alpha.”
Jake laughed again. “Here.” He squirmed and brought out a sheet of paper folded on his trouser pocket.
I collected the paper and unfolded it.
“Her number. She told me to give you. She said you should call her when we arrive in London.”
I didn’t know what to say or do. I just clutched the paper and fought the large lump that formed in my throat.
“We might never see her again.” I said.
“Not unless you want to. You can see her anytime as soon as your are over 18 years old. That’s is not a long while away, is it?”
I sighed and closed my eyes and willed myself not to think of her. Jake understood that i just wanted my peace and quiet because he kept silent and drummed his fingers on the arm rest.
“How long should this flight take?” I asked. I was feeling uncomfortable here on the plane, in the air.
“I don’t know.” He looked around. “I can’t go and ask the pilot. He friendly with me, he’ll tell me.”
I nodded and Jake leapt from his chair and headed towards the cockpit.
A tall beautiful lady walked up beside me. I looked at the length of her legs, they seemed to stretch forever.
“Would you like a blanket? You seem sleepy?” She held up a thick blanket towards me.
I nodded and said, “Thanks.” I took the blanket and covered myself with it.
She leaned over, her breasts were brushing my arm lightly and her perfume enveloped me and then she closed the window blinds, putting me in a semi lighted area. The light was dim and convenient for sleeping, it actually looked like it was meant for sleeping in.
I snuggled the blanket close to my chin and forgot that I asked how long the flight would take. I had forgotten about Brazil, maybe except for Elsa. I forgot about Jake that was coming back telling me what the pilot had said. I didn’t even hear what he was saying, it was like he was another room and I was in a boat, flowing steadily away from him.
I slept off deeply and soundly.
